Kinera nodded, happy that she could do it for sure. "Practice makes perfect they say," Kinera looked behind her hearing her brother's voice. "Something's up with Rayl and Kenji," she took a step forward then stopped looking back at Leon. "Wait, this isn't part of the test right?"

Leon narrowed his eyes. He felt this power a long time ago...a very, very long time ago. "No it isn't. We have to hurry." He ran out of the building, skidding next to Shadow.
"Shadow, what happened?" He asked urgently.
The dragon in disguise readied her halbard, "Kenji touched the handle of Howling Fenrir's handle and that rune appeared...I thought it went dormient after the destruction of the building."
"Tch. This is going to be a pain... Everbody, stand back!" Leon said as he looked back.
The rune shone a bright golden light and disappeared but soon replaced by a huge golden wolf right in front of them.
"Beast Rune, why do you show yourself to us now?" Leon demanded.
The wolf stared at the dragoon with piercing aqua eyes, "The same to you, bearer of the Punishment. I sense there is a capable human bearer in the area...perhaps he can do what you could not do 600 years ago." The words came out in a deep and wise voice.
This shocked Leon but he soon recovered, "There is no one here capable of bearing a rune..." Then it hit him. "No...you don't mean them do you." One of his eyes looked back at the three high school students.

Rayl looked up to the rune wolf in surprise and fear. Slowly calming himself down Rayl looked at Kenji. "Dude, it sounds like it's coming after us... but it said bear the rune." The information pieced together in Rayl's head, "Kenji... stand back. You summoned it so it's probably going after you!" Rayl readied his weapon again and held it out infront of Kenji blocking him. "Kinera I hope you learned something useful in there."

Kinera had followed Leon out of the ruins and stopped next to her brother. When the golden wolf appeared Kinera was surprised by the creature's sudden appearence. "I think we can all say we wont live a nice, normal, and safe life anymore," Kinera looked at the wolf's eyes unable to look away. She felt something near her chest start to pulse faintly but steadily.

"I will not let these kids become your playthings. I know what happens when some poor soul bears your rune..." Leon pulled out Lonewolf's sword out of the ground and stood in his battle stance; the blade faced diagonially with his arms slightly tucked in and knees a bit bent to allow faster movement.
"You are going to interfer, knowing the consequences? Then I have no choice!" It rushed Leon, fangs bared.
The dragoon leaped out of the way and spun around in a clockwise direction, barely scratching the hide of the rune wolf. "You know better than I do that none of your bearers don't live for long!" As the wolf turned around, Leon shouted to the three teens behind him, "Get far away! I'm going all out!"
Kenji cursed angrily. He hate the fact when somethings wrong and he can't do a thing about. It always seem to happen to him. "Come on, you all heard what he said! Let's go!"

Rayl stared in awe for a second at the two enemies speed but soon shook the feeling and ran after Kenji and Kinera. Rayl poured his entire heart and soul into getting away he began to run faster and faster he had never moved this fast in his life! Soon he caught up to Kenji and Kinera and his feet became lighter like he was walking on the air! Rayl grabbed the hands of Kinera and Kenji, "Kenji, Kinera jump!"

Kinera looked at her brother as if he was growing a third eye, "What?!" Kinera was struggling to keep up with her brother now though as he ran, she didn't remember him being so fast before. "I guess we all have to take a leap of faith at some point now," Kinera thought as she jumped uncertain about what might happen.

Kenji jumped on command...for some unknown reason.
"Out of my way!" snarled the beast rune as he rushed Leon once more but this time feinted to the right and then charged forward after the students.
"No!" He sprinted a couple of meters before the sword glowed a blue arua, "Lunar Blade!" Leon swung the sword in an overhead arc, unleashing an energy wave towards the wolf.
Shadow leapt threw the trees, keeping an eye on the kids and the fight between Leon and the rune.

When the three students jumped they began to fly into the air. Soaring 2 feet, 5 feet, 10 feet and finally up to 100 feet in the air. They landed on top of a cliff overlooking the ruins and they saw the demon charging towards the cliff. "Be prepared, maybe we can try a sneak attack somehow. Is there anything we can hide behind?" Rayl begins to scan the area.

Kenji looked at him amazed, "How did you do that? And I think we can hide...over there." He pointed at the cabin partially hidden in the forest behind them.
The Lunar Blade attack missed the rune wolf and exploded on contact in the forest. "Damnit! Where did that thing go!?" Leon cursed as he looked around. Noticing nothing on ground level, the dragoon looked up, finally finding the wolf heading up the cliff overlooking the guild ruins. "No you don't! Aerial Counter!" He let the energy wave fly and followed up behind it.
The wave hit the Beast rune, making it snarl in anger.

The students flung open the cabin and rushed inside and Rayl shut the door panting. "Damn demon beast thing!" Rayl slumped down to the ground and faced the people infront of him. "Kenji, it just sort of ... came to me... I knew i could do it because... well I wasn't sure why it was one of those feelings."

Kenji looked at Rayl in disbelief, "You gotta be kidding me...a feeling?...," He peered out of the window, seeing Leon hold off the beast. "At least we're alive...but how do we help Leon out?"

Rayl chuckled, "I don't know...."
I just used Magic!
"I've never seen magic other than Leon. It felt like an updraft of wind was propelling my feet and entire body. When I jumped I thought as hard as I could about that feeling under my feet and I just flew upwards!"

Away from the others and watching from the shadows, a mysterious figure clad in a tattered black cloak watches Lion's fight with his one good eye. Half his face is covered from the cloak's collar and his gray wavy hair covers his eyepatch on his right eye. A small muffled noise comes from within his cloak's chest pocket, then a small female head pokes out of it with long, deep purple hair.
"What's going on, master?" She asked cheerfully.
The man gently pushed her little head back into the pocket with his index finger, "Shhh. Be still, Violet."
He continued to watch the battle intently and quietly.
