I know that in one episode that she does appeare to inuyasha, but it was naraku who decieved him. it was like one of his puppets or something...

That was the Un mother disguised as Inuyasha's mother.

I'm not sure but I did hear that she was the one who gave Sesshomaru the fluffy boa thing.
