Indiana State solo and Ensemble was today...Our French Horn Octet got A Gold ranking and the Horn Quartet got a Silver.

Sierramist66 I noticed that there were a couple of south eastern michiganders here. I'm from that area too. Chelsea to be exact, we host the State Solo and Ensemble Festival. Along with Band and Orchestra Festival for both Middle and High school level for Washtenaw county. One of two schools that hosts, i believe our rival and neighbor Dexter is the other one. AWESOME!!!! I'm headed there for States in about a month! I'm uber excited! PM me. Hope to see you there

So who All is going to State Solo Ensemble Festival in South East Michigan at Chelsea High School (thats march 15th I believe)
I'll be there all day assisting and i have a performance at some point before 5:00pm that day.

Hey, are any of you guys going to the Illinois IGSMA organization contest this year??? I'm at the middle school level, and my school's going....of course.....and then we get to go to St. Louis if we get a first....so any of you going to that competition too???

I'm from central Ohio
I march alto sax in Hilliard Darby Marching Band and play oboe for concert season. (2, 5 years respectively on my instruments and i won't hesitate to admit to anyone, musician or not, that i'm darn proud of both! cool )

Dead Tears Minnesota! Hehe..I live in MoundsView, but I go to Richfield schools. And I play the Clarinet and Trombone~
YAY! There are other people who live in MN here!! Maybe we're not the state that everyone fogot about after all.
I live in south Saint Paul. Our band department is crap. There's like 200 kids in band, but there's only like 20 of us that actually care. LOL Whenever we go to competitions, we're known as the ghetto school.

Your Wettest Nightmare Where abouts in Michigan? lots of Southern Michiganders here.... what about West Michigan? Ludington to be exact biggrin I am a little more south then you are, Grand Rapids area.
