So once again, it would have to become a game of distancing. Unfortunately, Mooo's recent trick didn't work all THAT well, but he did manage to--oh wait, never mind. As Mooo was landing, he was getting his guard up--when something shot up in front of him.

Reflexively covering his left side, Mooo's left arm bent, turning his left shoulder and the outside edge of his arm toward the bright flash that was coming for him, the impact forcibly slamming him to the ground in a shaky stance, right leg first. As Mooo hit the ground, he was raised up, propped on his right leg as his right knee groaned from the impact, energy forcing out the topside vents of the left greave, stumbling back onto his left leg, then back onto both feet as he levelled out with the topside vents on both greaves. He'd taken the entire impact with his left gauntlet, but quite a bit of the flame had made it through--Mooo's shirt was only a thin strip of cloth covering the centerline of his body, his torso still spotted with soot.

As Mooo regained his composure, he reached forward and tore his shirt off--it'd just get in the way now--and tossed the scraps aside. Relaxing, he took a deep breath, letting his body get accustomed to the heat of the arena. s**t, it was like a sauna in here--and Mooo was starting to get winded. That left the option he'd mentioned earlier.

Mooo clenched his fists, and reluctantly let the gauntlets and greaves disappear, each one glowing, then popping out of existence in a shower of sparks and bright, globular lights. The energy first rose up, then slipped back to Mooo's body, Mooo gaining back a smaller amount of energy than he initially thought he'd receive. As it stood, Mooo could operate for a bit more time under these conditions, but he needed to finish off his opponent fast.

His mind working as quickly as he could get it to, Mooo remembered a few things about his opponent--he worked best at mid- to long-range, using flame attacks and explosions to maintain that distance and cause rough, lasting damage from afar, not from the actual flames themselves, but from the repeated jarring pounding of the explosions. His opponent didn't work well in close-range, and whenever Mooo got close, quickly widened the distance again. He hadn't used the mid- and long-range capabilities of Gladius Install, but Mooo also was pretty bad at using them, so it wouldn't have made any difference in the end anyways. Blade still had the sword, but every time Mooo closed in on him, there was a humming noise that sounded like when one was close to power lines--maybe that was from Blade himself, or he had another weapon, but whatever it was, Mooo assumed that it was the sword, and it had some kind of charge to it that might really, really hurt if he even tried such minute contact as parrying it.

The only option left was to keep driving forward. Blade's attacks didn't hurt him all that much, but the problem was maintaining the right distance so Blade couldn't use his sword or use his explosions without injuring himself, or forcing him into a hitting match with Mooo.

"Damn..." he thought as he continued to cough. Once again he wasnt able to land a decent enough hit to keep him down. As his coughs subsided he began to walk to his left, talking slow, small steps as he watched Moos, gauntlets disappear. "Oh what now." was his next thought. Could it be another surpisingly strong set of weapons or was it that he was just getting tired?

It was then Blade took into consideration all what he had at his disposal, doing a quick mental check of all the things he had left. He had three flames left, the two upon his legs and the one upon his right arm. The two on his legs had not yet been designated for attack or defense. This would serve him some purpose later on if he needed to draw its power. His aura was still in decent shape, no direct punches or attacks placed on it, not more than what it could sustain with minimal damage at least. Even so he would have to continue his game of keep away with Moo, at least until he was sure he was in good position.

At this point the charge of the sword increased once again, now at 14000 volts. This would spell a world of pain for Moo if it were to hit him, possibly disabling much of his body fuctions in the area of contact. For now, however, blade would have to use another tactic. Rasing his right hand into the air he snapped his fingers, a red flame appearing just above them. Within seconds the flame was the size of a baseball and steadily growing. Blade refrained from attacking just yet, watching his opponent, trying to get some idea as to why his weapons vanished.

Here was where Mooo's quick thinking actually came into play: in the absolute pinch. Starting forward at a steady walk, Mooo dipped his upper body down, maintaining pace as he picked up two slabs of broken concrete arena flooring, each about the size of a dinner plate. Lowering his center of gravity, Mooo started forward at a light jog, pacing himself as he carried along the slabs, his eyes not only on his opponent, but occasionally glancing down to see if there was any more rubble strewn between them.

Luckily, there was, but there were only a few options available to him. One was a solid mini-boulder around the size of a bowling ball maybe six feet behind Blade, while there were several other dinner-plate-sized pieces of rubble lying about, some scattered right in Mooo's path. The largest piece was nearly the size of a small car, and was from the massive explosion he'd punched after first using Gladius Install. That one, which sat a good four or five yards to Blade's left, was tempting, but Mooo managed to restrain himself for the time being.

Keeping his jog, Mooo cocked his left arm back, then slung the piece of concrete at Blade like a frisbee, aiming for Blade's midsection in an effort to either get him to move or use more of his flame. Fire worked in a simple triangle: it needed heat to initialize, oxygen to operate, and fuel to sustain itself. From what he'd seen, Blade had been shooting off flames left and right without actually setting anything on fire to sustain them, not even using an accelerant liquid or gas to propel them.

Hopefully, this meant that Blade had been chipping away at his own reserves to send burst after burst of fire at him. If anything, Blade was just as out of it as he was, and this battle was thundering to a close.

Passing the chunk in his right hand to his left, Mooo dipped down again and picking up another one of the plate-sized pieces of rubble as he continued on his merry jog, making the throw to the pass to the pickup in a clean, fluid motion.

It was time to end this match... or at least thats what he was hopping for as the fireball moved from its position to just above the shoulder of the same arm. For now he wouldnt worry to much about the slab of concreate for it would do little to hinder him.

As the slab neared him he simply side stepped to the right, turning his body slightly so that he would not have to move too far from his current position. During this entire movement, blade would not let Moo's actions leave his periphial light of sight. Watching as Moo picked up another slab of earth Blade's thought process began to kick in. Thinking quickly he began to not only eye Moo, but the shards of earth that Moo would be able to work with, if that was indeed his game plan.

Now running on about two fifths of the energy he started out with, his stragegy playing quite well from since the start of the match, he didnt have too much to worry about just yet for true fatigue would not hit at its greatest. From the beginning Blade was concerving energy, the use of the golden flame a part of this. As a plus Blade still had a few remnates of the same power, the two upon his feet and the one upon his left hand. All of this was about to pay off.

Now using his own energy he pulled at the heat within the air around him, making sure not to pull any from the area in which Moo occupied lest he figure out completely what he was doing. The heat quickly formed into a compacted state around his hand, having almost the same effect as the golden flames did inside of the sword, the heat just infront of his hand extreemly hot. Moo was now to the right of Blade, moving at a steady pace. At this point Moo's hands would be full, Blade moved his palm in line with Moo's movement.

At this point it fired, leaving his palm like a rocket. The heat that he compressed infront of his right palm, a large amount compacted in a matter of moments due to its availability, would be on its way towards Moos, left shoulder. As Moo ran he would feel the quick increase of heat as the beam was a mere moment away. The plus that this held was that Blade made sure to increase the temperature of the arena. Moo's first thougt would probally be that Blade was increasing the temperature once more. If the beam hit it would cut cleanly through Moos shoulder, that is unless he was as impervious to searing blasts of heat as he was to the earlier barrage of explosions.

If Mooo had moved his shoulder down juuuuuust a little... well, he'd be going over the couldas, wouldas, and shouldas in a few seconds. Mooo had already lowered his left shoulder down a tiny bit as he tossed another concrete slab underhand, this one travelling in a tight arc and descending for the top of Blade's right shoulder and clavicle.

However, the moment after he'd tossed it and closed distance to being just outside of arm's length, his left shoulder exploded in pain, Mooo stumbling onto one knee, his approach halted as he skidded to a halt, directly in front of Blade.

Mooo's skin was thick--very thick. Bullets bounced off him but still damaged him--they'd hurt, but it would be akin to a normal person getting hit by a high-power BB gun. The toughness of his skin was the only thing that saved his shoulder from getting completely burned through--but that didn't mean that the beam didn't break the skin.

In addition to the massive crimson burn on his shoulder, a small, neat circular hole two and a half inches deep was scored into his left shoulder, having luckily missed the bone but having done quite a bit of damage. Mooo's left arm was functional--to a degree, as he found out by trying to raise his arm--but it hurt to move. It hurt a lot. Mooo figured he'd be able to move his arm all right, but he'd have to endure constant, piercing pain--something he didn't like the idea of.

Still on one knee a good two feet away from Blade, Mooo noticed that the concrete slab in his right hand had fallen out--when Mooo was hit by the beam, he'd gripped the slab so hard he crushed the spot he was hanging on to.

Damn. Whats with him and the shards of arena? Blade asked himslef as he watched Moo throw the slab in an underhand fashion. Blade stepped back on his right foot, twisting his body to the left as the slab came towards him. The slab would miss his shoulder entirely, falling to the ground but not without brushing sharply against his right side. It was a simple touch that would give some discomfort even though his aura was still around him. ((I am assuming you threw it so that the entire width of the tile would crash against my shoulder since it also would effect the clavicle.))

Within those same moments Blade bent his right leg, forcing himself back and slightly into the air. He found Moo's position to close for comfort. For now he would have to continue to keep the distance between them, at least until he was ready to unleash the final blow. As he was in the air Blade laughed a left straight kick towards Moo's head. Now because he was moving backwards the kick, the actual kick aimed a bit downward because he would be slightly higher in the air than his target, even if connected would do minimal damage but Blade was not looking towards doing damage with the kick itself. As he kicked the flame launched itself from his foot, a bang like one would hear from a gunshot sounding a the flame left with speed rivaling the last propelled blast. Moo, only being a few feet away would have little time to block let alone dodge it completly.

This energy however was not like the last, its mission not to exploded but to take hold of the area of contact on Moo. If it touched his arm it would wrap around it, his face, etc. Moo would think it was like the last, no obvious difference between its predecessor and this blast. Hopefully It would hit the mark Blade hoped.

It was another kick! For some reason, Mooo should have seen this coming, as he actually expected his opponent to either punch down on him or swing with his sword, but in any case, the response was the same, but with a slight modification.

Seeing Blade hop back, then lift his left thigh to brace the kick, Mooo ducked his head down, forehead almost touching the floor, both hands pressed against the ground, still on one knee as he almost flattened himself, then arched his back as the kick sailed over his head, his feet lifting up onto his toes.

Gritting his teeth as he felt his left shoulder throb, Mooo didn't get to experience any of the horrible flaming pain that he had no idea would have hit him if he hadn't ducked, Mooo launched himself forward off his tiptoes, his arms tucking under his body as he dashed for Blade's right leg, aiming for a simple tackle-shoot, using his left arm, which hurt like hell, not to actually grab but simply loop the crook of the arm around the back of Blade's leg. This would be happening as Blade performed his kick and the fire attack, which is more than likely where Blade's attention would be.

Should it connect, the force of Mooo's body slamming Blade out of his unbalanced, kicking state would force Blade onto his back and put him in a very, very compromising position.

As unforseen as this way it held a great advantage for Blade. As Moo caught Blades arm within the crook of his left arm, Blade fell backwards with the obvious effect. However Blade would not leave Moo without feeling some significant pain for his actions other than the slight pang of pain his his shoulder. As Blade fell backwards he manipulated the energy and flame that was around his leg, commanding it to do as the other flame was told, graps its target. That is exactly what it did. Quickly snaking its way around Moo's arm it took hold of him just as the other flame was supposed to.

That done Blade brought his left hand across his body, the sword quickly spun between his fingers returning it to a normal hold. As his back came close to contacting the ground the flat of his sword would rest upon the top of Moo's. At this point two things occured nearly simultaneously. First the energy that was stored within the sword, now 18000 volts, would leave the blade straight to the cranium of Moo, the energy leaving ranging 10000. Within that same moment the energy that surrounded Moos arm would constrict his arm then explode, the force directly contacting Moos wound. This explosion would hurt blade slightly as well, his aura not concentrated to his leg to protect him from the close range of the compacted energy. At most it would leave him with a slight limp in his walk, while Moos unprotected arm, as tough as it was, should become limp.

The shock to the head would hopefully knock him out. Ending the match finally.

With Mooo's arm solidly wrapped around Blade's right leg (as stated previously), the shoot went as planned, Blade hitting the ground with a solid thud, the wind more than likely knocked out of him from the force of impact. Some kind of heat was going around Mooo's left arm, though--another fire attack? Jesus Christ. The wound in Mooo's shoulder was completely cauterized, so the pain was momentary, and the size of the wound itself was no real issue in the short-term, since the fight was coming to a close. The explosion went off--but again, this was Mooo we were dealing with. The explosion was a surface-level attack. Mooo's skin was burned some, there was an impact that caused Mooo a bit of discomfort, but in the end, all Mooo could really do about it was say "ow" and continue to drive Blade into the ground. There was no depth, no long-term, no internal effects to the attack, since the explosion only attacked corded sinew and thick skin.

Being a close-quarters fighter, Mooo was used to pain. He didn't like it, thus why he intelligently tried his best to block or dodge--but getting hit was inevitable when fighting at his range. He had been hit so many times by so many things that it wasn't a matter of willpower--it was a matter of conditioning, in the way that he was used to punching and that he handled the minor pain of constantly slamming closed fists into solid targets. This was akin to getting a chunk of skin raked off by some jackoff with claws, or getting a piece of skin and muscle bitten off. Mooo was used to pain--that much was obvious. This was powering through an attack, and it had nothing to do with willpower.

As Blade was attempting to get his sword into a better position to strike with, Mooo simply tightened the crook of his arm around Blade's knee, jerking his shoulder down and yanking back, aiming to either strain or completely rip the ligaments of Blade's right thigh. No matter how fast Blade was able to spin his sword, that would take more than two seconds--which is generally far more than the amount of time it would take Mooo to tense his arm and move his shoulder. In addition to that, the pain would be excruciating--the sudden jolt and pull on his leg muscles would seize his body up for a moment, possibly causing him to freeze for a few seconds. If anything, he might even drop his sword while trying to perform such a haphazard maneuver with it.

Tearing a ligament would not be a simple matter that one could simply power through--tearing a ligament often came with a horrible popping noise coming from a muscle that was no longer connected to a bone. That wasn't something one could shrug off--the limb would no longer work. Not having his right leg available to work, Blade would lose a major part of his balance, in addition to the constant, throbbing pain that would continue to wear at him. Shock was a purely mental thing--it was the mind telling the body that it was hurt far worse than it actually was, due to sudden, grievous injury happening all at once.

Once again Blade had found himself in a tough position. Before Moo jerked upon his leg the explosion would happen. This was intended to removed his grip upon his leg as well as destroy the fuction of Moos arm. However, this did not happen, Moo's arm holding fast to his leg as he jerked upon it. As Moo pulled upon his leg his muscle was strained emensely, the ligaments in no means tearing. However Blade would not be taken by the shock that normally follows such painful manuvers. For every individual the way they percive and react to pain is different. Blade being a tactical thinker, many of his manuvers requiring shock to his own body, was quite able to pass pain into the depths of his mind, alowing his focus to stay upon the task at hand.

As he hit the ground he dropped the sword from his hand. However Moo would notice a shine about his body as this happened. This shine would also be about the leg that was held under his arm. This shine was his aura, his major defense against physical attacks. This hopefully would give him the win as it saved him from having the breath knocked from his body by cushioning his fall to an extent. It would be at this point Blade would attempt to finish the match once more.

At this point he had three things going for him, two of the three high in abundance, the last a simple flame that laied upon the ground meer feet away. With some concentration it would be easy to call the flame to him, but what good would it do? By itself, nothing, but held in conjuction with the other two high in abundance elements, he could quite possibly pull off the win, and if not that hopefully get him off and away from him.

Within the moment Blade touched the ground, heat began to travel in towards his body at four main points. There would be a fifth point, this point being over the leg held by Moo. The four main point however would be his right index finger, his left index finger, the bottom of his left foot, and above his chest. Now here would be where the play of the mind worked. Moo would deffinatly feet the heat rushing from the air around him, for the first time a cool seeming breeze passing over his body.

Now no matter how thick his skin, burning would be the same as the sickening smell began to become present about them both. However it was obvious Moo would not let go, his want to finish this match now that Blade was down quite obvious. As his body bounced once from the fall his arms would seem to fail as normal, giving the impression that his body had truely gone into shock, the heat about his leg probally Moos greatest concern. As he rose up from the bounce he twisted his waist, pulling in his knee as he turned his upper tourso, in turn turning his lower as it followed suit, his right hand upon the ground with the index finger point towards Moo's knee. This would bring his foot in range of Moos face for it was already ducked low. Extending this leg with the force he could muster he sent it towards Moo's face.

Now the bottom of this foot was extreemly hot, heat rivaling the beam that had peirced his shoulder. One its course towards his face however, the heat fired from his foot. If contact was made it would burn his eyes, removing sight from him as well as force his head to fly back from the force. Hopefully they were not an inpervious as his skin and body. Now contact with his foot was not the goal Blade was looking for. The leg was mearly a decoy for he left hand which moved with the spin, the index finger pointing toward the wound that had already seen the effects of the first beam.

As the kick went towards his face a searing beam, this one hotter than the last shot with great speed towards the wound. This would hopefully tear straight through this time, rendering his arm worthless as it tore through the tendons that worked the arm. From his right index finger another beam, this one matching the heat of the left, shot out simultaneously with the left. If it connected as it should the beam would have little trouble passing through even though his skin was tough for the area above the knee cap held little skin.

All this took little energy for the need for creating the massive heat not there since it had been established early on in the match. All that was needed as to simply call the massive stores, compacting them to increase the heat as well as force of impact with each shot.

((Hope this was understandable.))

(Understandable in the fact that your character is somebody who doesn't get hit, and is somehow able to withstand pain? Understandable in the fact that your character is somehow a contortionist, able to stick your left foot up into your opponent's face when his head up near your right thigh and hip without help from a hand? Yeah, you twisted, but your body's being held down by somebody who's probably got a good 80-100 pounds on you. All Mooo has to do is lay there and the twist is negated. You wouldn't bounce from a shoot--since it was a direct shoot aimed low, you'd just fall on your a**, unless you're made of rubber. Not to mention, understandable as in you've just one-post-cast a field that negates any and all physical attacks that used to be mobile and would cover certain areas, but now covers your entire body? Yeah, perfectly ******** understandable. rolleyes )

s**t, that didn't get him? Oh well, this would.

Letting his still-tingling left hand drop down Blade's leg, he gripped the cuff of Blade's pants, turning his body sideways so he lay on his left side, his right hand still set atop Blade's right thigh. Mooo's legs lifted up, his right leg coming over the top of Blade's left leg, his left leg sliding under it, while the right leg bent upon contact to hold Blade's left leg in place from the thigh. This turning movement happened as Blade was cocking his leg in preparation for some kind of kick, but now with his leg turned in a different direction, the kick would only be able to extend out straight down, toward the ground, as Mooo's left leg bent upwards so the knee pushed up on Blade's left leg, while Blade's right leg was still firmly in Mooo's grasp.

Mooo, hanging on to Blade's right leg, now lowered his right hand to the back of Blade's right knee, aiming to dig his middle finger into the back of Blade's knee and push down on the femoral artery, while locking the rest of his fingers around the back of the knee and placing his thumb on Blade's kneecap. Still gripping the bottom cuff of Blade's right pant leg tightly, Mooo shifted his grasp to now hang on to the entire ankle, not digging his fingers in, but instead wrapping his hand around it to increase torque, turning the hand upside-down so his arm twisted upon grabbing the ankle instead of just placing it there.

Now, all Mooo did was turn to lay on his back, while extending his legs to turn Blade's left leg out at a 45-degree angle from both of them. Mooo did a small sit-up to prepare, then as the flame from Blade's foot launched out onto the ground a few feet away, Mooo fell backwards, hard, aiming to corkscrew Blade's leg like a drumstick off a turkey, using the whole weight of his body in addition to a compromising position that Blade himself had helped to achieve. The wound would be grievous--his right heel would be turned toward his left, then tilted upwards and away as Mooo fell backwards and his left hand returned from its upside-down to regular positioning, the final position being Mooo holding Blade's right ankle skyward with his left hand, right hand still gripping the inside of Blade's right knee, with both thighs holding down Blade's left thigh. Mooo's right leg would be bent, turned on its side so the instep of his foot rested atop Blade's left foot, holding it in place.

As Mooo did this, the sit-up had shifted the positioning of Blade's hands, first pointing them up, then suddenly leaving them hanging there as Mooo dropped back down--this would cause a simple physiological reaction akin to getting your knee bumped by a hammer during a physical. Blade's shoulders, at first locked so Blade could deliver his pointy-beams to Mooo, would lose their stability upon the drop back down, Blade's hands going from tightened to limp simply from the drop of the hips and the vibration travelling up the skeletal structure to the shoulders. If they still went off, Blade's finger-beams would fire harmlessly into the air while his right leg was corkscrewed.

(Hope that was understandable. If you've got a problem, post a dispute thread in the OOC Forum so we can get more opinions on it, instead of just trying to explain your psychotic sense of physics to me over PM, and your "theory of elementalists" which still lacks any sort of concrete material behind it, like, oh, those equations I wanted to see. God, even planar psionics at least throw some ******** math-and-science behind their stuff. xd )

What would make Moo think that Blade would continue forward with his kick, Moo dropping onto his left side even before his kick was launched. This provided time to change his initial strategy slightly, hopefully acheiving the same effect he wanted for his eyes were upon him the entire time.

As Moo dropped onto his side, moving his legs to capture Blade's left leg, Blade would continue to twist his body, turning onto his right side as he followed Moos motion. Watching Moo through the entire motion as well as feeling his hands moving, Blade would take the second Moo fell to his side to note that the weight that was directly over him was gone, his right hand ontop of his thigh in no way keeping him from turning his body. The moment that it took for Moo to raise and move his legs, Blade would move as well. Throwing his left hand over his body he acheive the momentum needed. Blades left knee would be angled in towards Moo now and as Moos leg moved to clap Blades knee would rise up towards Moos chest, the bend at the knee releasing as he moved his foot forward. Doing this his shin would contact Moo's groin with the force of the rise of his knee and the outward extend.

All and all Moo should have been becoming increasingly discomforted with the heat that was eating away at his skin, a massive amount centered around the entirety of his right leg where much of Moos most valuable points where. His face, his chest, and hands placed upon the leg. The heat should, at this point, be bothering his eyes, impairing his ability to breathe well, becoming a great barrier towards his concentration and ability to work his muscles from the lack of oxygen that should plague him. Added to this Moo's groin would be in pain, this hopefully causing his body to cease up for even a fraction of a second.

At this point he would attempt to deal significant damage with the resources available to him. A portion of the heat that enveloped his leg would compact quickly, this only taking a fraction of a second, then fire outwards straight into Moos unguarded neck directed majorly towards the cricoid cartilage. The shot would be a decent size and from distance away. The speed given it would sear a hole into Moos neck leaving him with a deep, two inch wide hole within it before he could have the change to move out of range. This held true even through the thickness of Moos skin. If it was possible to sear a beam from a decent distance away two and a half inches deep into his shoulder it shouldnt take so much to do the same with less effort at close range at a point in which barely any skin resided.

Adding to this would be the force that it would hit his neck, quite possible breaking it from that, however Blade could not bank on that assumption alone and did not want to risk another worthless explosion. The heat about the rest of his leg would not let up as the heat from around continued to feed it. The heat about his chest would translate down his body as heat began to envelop his body entirely rather than just certain points.

Again because of abundance around the two fighter, much of it no more than a foot or two away as the heat about filled in where was taken from, the arena becoming cooler at a very slow rate, the energy needed was not much. As a plus to this the heat from would soothe the strained muscle, the emense heat itself above normal human standards yet perfect for him.

If all went well, the beam would go through Moos neck, to the point where air could not be gathered into his lungs because of the hole. At that point the beam would stop for the aim was not to have it sear through Moos entire neck resulting in his death.
