Marc Withasi I have no idea. I couldn't pick between the two. On one hand, it's "natural" to fall in love, get married to, and have sex with a member of the opposite sex; raise a family; have a job to support said family; and so forth. On the other, there's the minority group - the more interesting, but unfortunately biased against fairly heavily considering the day and age, unable to biologically have children with one another; unable to marry in so many places. I believe there's enough stress in life without this particular burden, but then I feel I should do my part to help equality for non-heterosexuals. It's a tough choice. To go for the easy and seemingly more fufilling norm, or the harder and looked-down-upon minority.. Perhaps I turned out bi because I can't make up my mind at all. sweatdrop Hey, we're interesting too! redface _Lillly I would choose to be a flamboyantly gay man, because so many of them seem to have tons of fun all the time xd And I could dress in drag and be a drag performer, and sleep with other luscious gay men, and and and emotion_drool That horrible show 'Will and Grace' has implanted a hatred of flamboyantly gay men into me. Also, all of those terrible fashion shows on 'E!' have turned me against them even further.

There's just more of them (ostensibly, anyway), so it's spread out a lot more. 3nodding

I would stay gay without a dout or a secound thought because the triles I have faced in my life from being gay are what make me so strong. I fear not death as the end put as a new journey in the next chapter of my life. I am free to love who ever I want and even if I don't have a little peice of paper that says you are married I know that my love will go beyound what any paper can say. I stand strong in rememberance of all the gay people that had come befor me. I face every day anew with no regrets or anger. I pitty straight people that think it is a sin or discusting to be gay because in putting us down they only make us stronger and more determined. I walk and talk like a man and will never let any one tell me otherwise for loveing another man. cool

Hmmm...I love being a lesbian, but if I could choose, I'd be bi because that means there'd be no limitations on who I love, gender-wise. biggrin
So, it'd make my family unhappy still, but girls are heart .

I really truly hate thinking on terms of being straight or hetero or bi or gay or curvy or whatever the heck people want to call it.
There have been many nights when I wished things would be less confusing about my sexuality rather then wishing I was not who I was born to be. I don't think I have ever wished to be straight because I never saw myself as being gay and vice versa. I believe that out there is a person, a soul, that belongs with me whether it be a man or a woman. (though as a hormonal teenager I could really go for a nice looking woman right now ::laughs: smile
I try to see it that way instead of looking at these "labels" we have made for ourselves. Once we have a label we tend to not stray from it and it makes us grow into the label and not into ourselves.
and while "if"s and "maybe"s are fun to think about I think that they can lead to confusion and prevent true inner growth. What if I had the choice? well I didn't and if I did I would have chosen the same things as I have. I am a good person and I know I am a good person. What if I could go back and become "straight" couldn't that possibly make me a bad person.
See One questions leads to many more which leads to confusion live in the here and now instead of the "maybe" and "what if"...
wow that was quite a ramble wasn't it?

I would never choose to be anything other than what I am, if that counts. I like me the way I am, and no matter what hardships I have to face in life, I know that they're shaping me into a better person, a more capable person, someone who can grow and learn from the things that happen to me, someone who can help others to learn from the things that happen to them too. I haven't had to deal with a lot of the hardships that most people of alternate lifestyles face, and I'm thankful for that. But if I ever came under fire for the way I am, I'd like to think I would stand strong and not compromise myeslf for anything. I can't say that I would do that for sure, because I've never had to and so I don't know. But I'd like to THINK I would.
I like being the way I am. If I had the option to choose to be someone else, I wouldn't take it. I am me, and that's all there is to it.

I'm bi, but I would still choose to be bi or lesbian if I could, if only to shock people but also because I support everyone that's different (okay the reasonable different ones... did that make any sense?)... and of course bi means that I have double as many people to watch than those that are straight or lesbian/gay... 3nodding

Last year in my class I did a report on gay marriage and the main part of the grade involved making a presentation of the material to the class and having a debate. It was supposed to only go on a few minutes, mine carried us though til' the end of the block, four or five people had to go next class because mine carried on so long. Looking back there where a few things I learned from it. 1)People aren't as open as they appear 2)Legal issues wise it really sucks to be gay in America 3)It's somehow worth it. While a large percentage of the class completely shot down my ideals there was one person who spent alot of time defending me against those masses and for that I would never choose not to be gay. Mind you it's a hard thing and most people will hate you unfoundly for it and all in all it would be easier just to be straight, but not only does being gay tell you alot about the people around you, it's also something I couldn't imagine not being. I just can't imagine who I'd be, not to say it's my whole identity, but more that it's just a big part of me that I would miss if I where straight.
