Hayate smiled, combing fingers through the angel's hair for a moment, "You're more than welcome, Azikayal..." Now it was a bit akward, as he didn't know whether he should set the other down or...all right, fine, not that akward, perhaps it was just because the other seemed to fit there so nicely, and was warm against the demon's chest.
So he just sat down on the couch -with- him. Kaya could clamber off if he so chose. "We'll have to figure out sleeping arrangements, though..."

Said angel was slightly suprised that Hayate hadn't set him down, but he supposed he couldn't fathom why the other would. Simply he liked having a friend, and without ever having had a friend he didn't know how they were supposed to act.
Kaya turned his face to look up at Hayate's, "Yea.. but... not now? Right?" He flashed the other an effort of a smile, as if gathering back some of his pride.

He smiled back at him, "No...we don't have to make any such decision right now." Hayate assured the other easily...for decision-making might require that they move, and he was most comfortable right where he was with Kaya in his lap.
But of course, that brought to mind something else... "Azikayal...could...I ask you something?" He chewed on his lip a moment, as though he had considered this long and hard.

Kaya was also comfortable, arms still around Hayate's neck and body curled against the other's, even his wings were folded in a way so that he wasn't a burden to his new friend. However, the angel was a bit confused. It had been easier to be friends with and find his friend then he had thought it would be, so easy that he had grown so attatched it had become literal. Perhaps there was a problem with this, or perhaps not. Perhaps this was his fate.
When he chewed on his lip and presented the need to ask something, Kaya came up with a look of mild suprise and nodded, "Ask anything you wish."

Well, at first Hayate had thought to ask about the past...about what the monkey had told him whilst Kaya was unconscious, but then, he thought better of it. That past seemed to cause the other pain and right now they were both in a decent mood, so it was as well that the demon came up with another question...though associated with the past...it was...not to ask precisely all about it...just a piece to the puzzle.
"Do you...know why we were brought back as we are?" The cerulean-haired male raised a hand to gesture to one of his several scars.

"Punishment," replied the angel in a solemn voice. He hadn't moved, hadn't really said much else or done anything. But the answer would always be the same. He had been brought back to suffer, to find peace in suffering and to find forgiveness in Hayate. However, Azikayal had no desire to share such information since he didn't know that Hayate knew the past.
In fact, the past made him uneasy and so did their fates. Their fate was just unhappiness, but somehow Kaya found happiness in his punishment. In finding Hayate he was happy, as well as in Hayate's arms for it was a familiar thing and also a gracious one to know he would not die this time.

Hayate somehow did not feel the seriousness of it all too terribly, save for the angel's state...bloody wings and the evident curse. But the demon somehow felt blessed...that now he had this utterly wondrous creature so near to him. Yes. He could selfishly say he didn't mind at all.
"Somehow..." the demon finally murmured, "I don't feel too terribly chastized..." Blue eyes gazed down at the other fondly, "Do you?"

And as the angel looked up into the demon's blue eyes he shook his head. Even though he could not see in the truest sense, he saw everything else very clearly and he knew that perhaps punishment was too harsh a word.
Bliss. Yes, that was a better word. Letting any resentment he had go quickly he smiled up into those eyes, "No... no I suppose not."

His eyes met Kaya's, and even if he couldn't see them clearly, he knew they were fixed his way, and that smile was meant for him. Hayate had never had anyone whom he wanted to be happy so passionately as he wanted this angel to be happy. How he could aid in that, he did not yet know, but he did know that he wished for the other to be happy...because of Hayate.
"I'm glad..."
And as such...he didn't realize what he was doing, didn't realize he was so entranced...didn't realize he was leaning closer until his lips brushed those of the angel's.

It was shocking, but perhaps a part of the angel wanted it. Closing the eyes that didn't see he pulled closer to Hayate, if possible, and pressed his lips back onto the other's. It felt right, to just kiss him. To pull away would have been rejection and Kaya had no desire to reject his demon.
There was a sudden sense of him being too bold and he let his arms fall from around Hayate's neck as he ended the kiss. "Hayate..." He murmured, eyes still closed.

He felt the most comforting warmth blossom from that point of contact, a sense that this was right...that this was just what he -should- do. An emotion, an...affection at least, for Kaya had been the motive for his actions, and he would have done...would do...it again, if only the angel did not mind.
And once that touch was gone, the demon immediately missed it...longed for it again...but... "Kaya..." Shortening the other's name for the first time, he felt a flush creep up the back of his neck. "I...am sorry...if that was forward..." He really did look embarassed, but he certainly didn't regret it.

"No... I..." Azikayal bite his lower lip and then, placing his hands on the other's chest lightly, pressed his own lips to the other's again. He too had missed the touch, had been taken by suprise, but most of all... didn't care. The affection he had for Hayate was too precious to be ignored and Kaya couldn't stand it.
Kaya's bangs for once were not a problem, the blood had even stopped dripping. In fact, the only thing that wasn't abnormal was the blush across the angel's face. He had no intention of loosing something he'd already lost once.

And he met that touch, leaning into it and strong arms going firmly about the other now. Always close...he wanted to hold this moment for as long as he could, almost forgetting to breathe as he kissed this angel... Perhaps he selfishly wished to call Kaya his...and to be his in return. A sense of belonging like none other that he could remember.
A purr was a strange sound to be coming from a demon, but yet it was there all the same, a contented rumble. Yes...this was perfect.

"Mm..." Kaya trailed off contentedly. This was the life he'd been fated to live? All of the sudden, his past, his punishment, his curse... it didn't exist. The only thing that was real was the man he was pressed to, and that was the only thing the angel wanted to accept.
Moving his hands around the demon's neck once more he felt his fingertips stroke the gorgeous blue silk hair and his entire body shivered. His wings gave a light ruffle but he had his mind on more important things then such appendages.
Why did he feel like this? Why did nothing matter? A part of Kaya wanted to say that they were friends but another part protested very loudly, singing out another stronger feeling. The right one. This kiss was not wrong, it was perfect.

He smiled, and it was evident against the angel's lips. Kaya was precisely everything he'd ever wanted, a conclusion that he had abruptly come to during this most enjoyable pastime. As a friend...and apparently more, considering what they were currently engaged in.
One hand slid up the other's back, careful of those great wings, whilst the other skimmed fingertips up the slender being's side...memorizing, caressing.
Everything...the lost piece of his soul...the void he had always known lay within him, as though waiting to swallow him up...gone. And Hayate was whole.
