Oh no! I hope I don't miss them! Thought the girl hastily, running frantically around the small pirate town. "Hello?" Hello! Does anyone know where the Aurarius is?" Of course, no one answered her with anything other than winks and rude gestures. Penelope, being young and lovely, was often subject to their harrassment. They always tried to encourage her to become a barmaid or a prostitue- saying she could make a lot of money with her figure. Not anymore. Penelope Zandrasus was sure of it. The harrassment would stop as soon as she stepped onto the lovely deck of the Aurarius. But where was it? Sighing, Miss Zandrasus continued towards the dock, hoping to catch the ship in time before it's departure. Her long white-blonde hair was tugged on by the wind as she got closer and closer to the water. Her sea-blue eyes ever searching.

Suddenly, Penelope was confronted by the most lovely Pirate ship she'd ever seen. 'Aurarius it said on the side of the ship. Softly whispering the ship's name under her breath, she got used to it rolling off her tongue. It was only then that she realized that the ship was being prepared to make way. "No!" Penny screamed, putting a hand on the hilt of her sword and running towards one of the un-losened ropes. She put her foot on the side of the ship, and grabbed the rope with her strong but tiny hands, and slowly but surely made her way up the ship. I am so stupid.. She kept repeating over and over in her head as she made it closer to the deck. Finally, after her limbs grew sore of climbing up such a steep ship, she fell onboard and onto the newly-swabbed deck.

With a slight grin at her achievement, she stood and brushed herself off. Penelope noticed that there were other people on deck, and she flushed in humiliation. Maybe she'd just climbed up the ship... But she certainly looked like a fool. Her mysterious blue eyes wandered until she was greeted with a kind face. He was a man, and had a lovely blue bandana on. Casually striding over to him, she recollected her breath and began to speak. "Hello. I would like to speak with your Captain," She panted, trying to recover her breath still. "My name is Penelope Zandrasus and I'd like to join this crew. Forgive my tardiness, but I've just run through town in such haste that I hardly had any energy left to climb aboard. I was... Well, I must have slept in late or something." Pausing and taking another breath, she realized that this man might think she was having hangover or something along those lines. "I-I'm not an alchoholic, if that's what you think."

Penelope defended, pushing a strand of her beautiful locks behind her right ear. "Now," She continued. "Would you be so kind as to lead me to your Captain?"

Tracey was focused on wheel, so he was reasonably surprised when he looked up to see a woman with light blonde hair and lovely blue eyes walking right towards him. He listened to her, always watching her face respectfully. Now that he was back on a ship, having respect for others was ten times as important because not only will they be your company for months at a time, but someone that might be in a position to save your life eventually.

When she finished speaking, he took his turn, "Hello, Miss Zandrasus, Welcome abored. The captain is below decks at the moment." Granted, thinkingshe could oversleep was cause for concern but he would not voice them unless he was sure she would be unreliable. Her comment of not being an alcoholic was amusing, how quick people get defensive, "I did not think you are an alcoholic, Miss Zandrasus. I will not be able to led you to the Captain, sorry Miss, but I will go and let him know you are here, if you wish." The captain couldn’t get mad at him for going to Annabelle’s deck if he had a reason such as this, at least he didn't think so.

Penelope nodded after he spoke, and smiled. "Thank you for your kindness." Replied the headstrong girl, brushing past the kind man and heading below decks. Why wouldn't he be able to take me below? I guess I'll just have to go by myself. Thought Miss Zandrasus, her mud-stained skirt swaying as she took each confident stride in her dainty little shoes. Most people thought that Penelope was too pretty to be a pirate, or too headstrong. Or too this, or too that. This angered her, and she gripped the hilt of her sword. I'll show them! Penny thought, shaking her head. This sent her thin blonde hair cascading down her chest. Her sky-blue eyes sparkled in the sunlight, and then stopped once she stepped onto the first stair which led to the dimly-lit below deck area.

"Hello?" Penelope called softly, bending over and peering down the steps. Perhaps he is down there.. But why would a Captain be all the way down there? She thought, sighing heavily as she continued down the stairs. Finally, she saw a light coming from the storage room. "H-hello?" She called, poking her head inside the room. Finally, Penelope Zandrasus laid her glimmering optics on the handsome captain. He's a Dragon-Kin!? Suddenly, her heart began to thud against her chest. For the first time in a while, Penelope was frightened. She hadn't been this frightened since her King raped her, and was wondering why this handsome man had such an impact on her. "Oh.. Hello. Am I interuppting something?" The Greek girl said sweetly, trying to recover from her newfound fear of Dragon-Kin.

Penelope noticed that the captain was with a woman who looked like she'd been crying. Was it a love affair gone wrong? Is that why the kind man up on deck was hesitant to lead her to the massive Dragon-Kin captain? "I'm sorry for the intrusion..." Penelope began, biting her lip and remaining in the doorway. "But... I've been here on this damned island for several years looking for a ship to join. In fact, I've been looking for a ship ever since I was thirteen, after I ran away-" She paused, memories of her son and of the awful King flooding her mind. "Nevermind that. In any case, I've been looking forward to speaking with you. Unfortunately, I woke up late this morning and just barely made it on deck before you set up sail. In fact.." She flushed with humiliation. "In fact, I just ran across town to get here-" She made a gesture to her muddy skirt. "-And then I climbed up the ship via rope, hoping you wouldn't kill me for invading the Aurarius.

"Forgive me sir, for being so bold, but I do not intend to leave this ship. I've trained for seven years with my sword, and I ran away from my life to become one. And when I finally get my golden opportunity, I almost miss it. So I will fully dedicate myself to this ship. If you are appalled by my behaviour, than I will tie myself to the mast and be the first to report and oncoming ship or land." Penelope grinned, and pushed back a strand of her beautiful hair, and took a deep breath. "I fear there's no getting rid of me, sir." Miss Zandrasus could not pull her eyes away from this beautiful man; Dragon-Kin or not. Though she'd heard awful stories of how Dragon-Kin were evil and that they tortured people, those thoughts all but evaporated as she laid eyes on him. Her hearbeat returned to its normal pace, and she smiled. I think I will like it here. Thought the girl, happily. Her life was finally starting to look up.

Annabelle nodded sadly, and wiped the remaining tears off of her face. "I promise to stay below decks, and not interfere with my crew. I do not want them to experience the Hell I go through each day." The girl smiled a remorseful smile at McCallahan, and just wanted to hug him and cry on his shoulder. He was being so kind to her.. Just like.. Just like... All of a sudden, her thoughts were interuppted. She heard a faint 'hello' in the distance, and wondered where the sweet little voice was coming from. "McCallahan, do you hear that?" She whispered, her emerald optics darting to the doorway. Then, a lovely girl entered the room. Oh my, she certainly is beautiful. Thought Annabelle, noticing that this girl resembled a Greek she once knew.

This girl, she had long white-blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. Her clothes were nice too, and Annabelle felt rather indecent as she looked down at her tight corset. Blushing, she laughed at the girl's comment. "Interuppting something? Hah, no. Captain McCallahan would never be interested in a sick girl like me." She said, looking down to the floor. He wouldn't, would he? Not after what I'd done. She shot an apologetic look to Aiden. "I'm sorry captain, that remark of mine was out of place." Annabelle was humiliated now, and anger towards herself burned in her cheeks like a fire. She wanted to be out of the room, and just go somewhere else for a while. She was rather embarrassed about this girl's comment, and her own.

Annabelle listened tentively to her story, and wondered what it was the girl was 'running away' from. Could it be that she had a diesease too? No- she looked to healthy. Then what was it? I should keep my nose out of her buisness. Thought Annabelle, scanning the room and looking for a distraction. Something. Anything. But she was far too drawn into this lovely girl's story. How sad! She was stuck on this island for seven years, and she almost missed the ship? This girl had guts, Miss Lee was sure of it. With a questionable look, she turned to Aiden and smiled a little bit as if to say; 'She'll be a great crew-member, even if she just randomly walked in. It must be meant to be.' With a light chuckle, Annabelle curled her knees in and waited for McCallahan's response to this lovely woman.

Tracey tried to stop Penelope, but how can you stop someone that headstrong? He knew nothing about females besides if there is something they want with a look in their eyes like she had, let them and try not to get trampled. Granted he is no push-over, just smart enough to pick his battles.

He just hoped the captain would not be angry with those on the top deck, him probably since he was the only one to know, when that lady stormed her way down.

Returning to the doorway, Victoria Hargreaves raised an eyebrow at the hand gesture. "Understood, Captain," she said in an even tone, moving just inside the room and leaning against the wood directly next to the frame of the door. Her right ankle crossed over her left, and nothing but her shoulders and shoulderblades rested against the wall, her chest and pelvis jutting out slightly, though unintentionally.

Now bare arms crossed underneath the expanse of rounded flesh, eyes locking on to Aiden as he spoke to her again. "From what I've heard," she began, shutting her right eye as her left tilted up and her lips puckered to the right side. "That brandy will dull pain, and, as it is a drink, may aleviate some, non physical things to make a happier pirate." The explanation was simple, and to the point, much like she was.

Then, came the "Hello?!" from a woman with naturally light blonde hair and startlingly blue eyes, making her jump from the suddenness of the whole thing. Looking to Aiden, and then to Annabelle with trepidation, concern, and fear for the new girl, she acted lightning fast once she had finished talking, standing in front of the woman; her left hand was wrapped around the hilt of her blade, eyes narrowed dangerously and not looking at all happy with this intrusion.

"Even if ye refusin' ta' be refused on board th' ship, ye have no business ta' be scalin' ships and goin' in ta' places that might jus' be off limits, missy," she said in an icy tone, taking a step towards the girl, key still stuck in her corset. Zaldeer shifted a bit, trying to block the girl's view of Annabelle. The woman just couldn't have this woman go about gallavanting like this.

"Shall I be escortin' 'er back ta' th' deck, Cap'n?"

Turning from Annabelle for a moment, the dragon-kin overheard a strange voice coming from the stairway. By the tone, he could clearly notice that it was a woman, but what woman he was not sure of. Standing more comfortably and approaching the doorway, the man awaited anyone who had such nerve to go into the lower decks once he had already issued a clear order to stear clear.

Once the woman was in plain view, the man looked her over, confused as to how this small, thin woman managed to make it aboard his ship, let alone why she came aboard in the first place. Shutting his eyes and breathing out calmly, it was clear that the man was going to lose his patience. Why hadn't Tracey kept this woman above deck as he had ordered his own crew? Opening his fire colored eyes once again, the man looked towards Penelope, "..Who in Gods name are--?" He managed to say through gritted teeth. That day was turning into a hellish nightmere and though this was a possible pirate for his crew, he did not need such an intruding woman. Before he could finish, the woman continued to speak and once he had managed to listen to it all, he felt slightly more comforted.

Pointing out the door, however, the man spoke in a still, not so friendly voice, "This lower deck is off limits to all pirates other than myself and the lass here. She has a sickness that we wish to look further into.." The captain truly had no need to speak of anything, though it simply slipped from his lips. Though Penelope's first speech had calmed the beast slightly, her continuation was absolutely disrespectful. She would not leave? She would tie herself to the mast? Feeling his fists ball into tight fists, the dragon-kin had never felt such a strong urge to have someone walk the plank. Through his anger, he had not even noticed her frail form, ragged clothing and beautiful eyes.

Stepping forward to indicate for the woman to move back, the captain hoped to get the growing group of pirates away from Annabelle's presense. "I fear that there are quite a few ways I could get rid of a troublesome lass like yourself.. and of those ways, I am certain many my crew members have likely already thought of." The man's eyes glittered with malicious intent and clearly this side of the man was often hidden away behind his charm. Still stepping forward, he now pointed for the staircase, "Report to the upper decks at this very moment, or fear the wrath of my blade!" His roar was threatening, but considering all the lass got was a temper, it was clear Aiden was often talk and would prefer to discuss the situation rather than fight someone.

Having been ferocious with the situation and almost not hearing what Victoria had said, it took him a moment to register her question once he had finished speaking. Nodding quickly, the captain still pointed upwards, "Yes, I would appreciate it if you would bring the woman upstairs Victoria."

Turning towards Aiden and giving him a reassuring smile, she pulled the key from between her breasts and tossed it to him, winking with a slight jerk of her head to one side. Then, turning back towards the newcomer, she stalked forward, putting her hands on her shoulders, turning her around, and marching her back up the stairs, leading her to the deck and shooting a dark glare at Tracey.

"I suggest ye be watchin' th' lass more careful," she hissed, releasing Penelope from her hold, moving to go back down to the decks. "I suggest findin' a way ta' make yerself useful, wench," she said nastily, glaring at her. She really didn't like this woman, and she had only heard a fair amount of words for her. Moving to the hatch that would lead her to the lower decks, she paused, taking another look at the woman in white. Shaking her head, she disappeared, moving back to the room where Aiden and Annabelle were, standing in the doorframe, leaning against it with a vexed look about her, though not nearly as vexed as the Captain.

"Captain," she said, announcing her return, keeping her voice gentle and quiet. Zaldeer had no desire whatsoever to make him any more angry than he already was.

"Is thar' anythin' I can be doin' fer ye?" she asked, arms crossing underneath her bosom once again. "If ye need ta' be releasin' some tension, I can help relax yer muscles," she said, closing an eye as she thought about how that had come out.

"Fer instance, shoulder rubs always relax me when I can git 'em."

Tia had a feeling that something was going on, but she was not sure what.
Tia made her way checking the cannons above deck. She checked the ropes and chains holding them in place. This took her awhile from the amount, she wanted to check the ones below as well but it seemed people were being shooed from that area so she went about cleaning the canons a dangerous job it could be if they hadnt been cleaned properly after their use, but it wasnt even something Tia thought about. This was her normal duties and she was quite use to the risk that came with them. She seemed zoned in what she was doing hardly noticing anyone on board she was quite, perhaps her old ways sinking in abit. Though as she worked her thought was on being in Tracey's arms again. It had stopped to soon for her and she wished to be there again. How hard was it going to be, to feel like that about someone and know every day could be your or even worse their last. Tia decided in that moment that if it be in her strength no harm would ever come to Tracey. Not even for her sake would she let him suffer in anyway. She continued to clean the cannons while thinking of Tracey though it did cross her mind as to when the Captain would appear. She wished to know where they were heading and when they were casting off.

Tracey kept an eye for anyone to come from below deck. No one was supposed to go down there, but what could he have done? Hurt the woman; fight her to keep her on deck? He really would deserve punishment for that. If he got in trouble, then he would have no one to blame but himself.

He also watched Tia, to make sure she wasn't getting hurt. If something happened, he wanted to be there the instant it did to help her. He wondered what life would bring now, how of if their relationship would progress. Would the captain put a stop to it? What was clear, was that if that did happen, he'd brake the rules and face living back on this island, just to hold her once more

While Tia was cleaning inside one of the cannons she sliced a cut into her left hand she winced abit. Of the ways one could get hurt while cleaning cannons getting cut had never really crossed her mind. She didnt say anything though as she stood to find something to wash it with and a rag to tie on it. She held her hand with pressure to stop the bleeding. Tia didn't see anything right off so she walked over to Tracey. She stared at the new woman for a moment wondering what she had missed.
"Hm... um Tracey do you know where some clean water and a rag is?" She didnt bother telling him why she needed it the way she was holding her hand she figured was good enough to explain it.
"Who's this? I didnt see her come aboard." Tia asked tilting her head towards Penelope.
PostPosted: Wed Sep 20, 2006 9:29 pm

Tracey hadn't been watching the doorway to below deck too closely; he completely missed when Penelope came back on deck. Tia didn't have to walk far; he was on his way to meet her when she had gotten hurt.

Reaching out, he very gently examined her hand. Frowning lightly because she had gotten hurt, he looked back up to meet her eyes, "I'll get it for you, its below deck and the captain isn't keen on having people going down there right now; however, it won't be a problem for this purpose." He'd rather face getting in possible trouble, then to take Tia down into it. She was already on half pay.

Looking to Penelope, he couldn't help but feel some animosity towards her, she ignored his trying to keep her on deck and probably got him into hot water, so he only answered Tia with her name and as little as he could say and still get the point acrossed, "Penelope, she came to join." That was all he was going to say about her, and he kept his feeling most out of his voice. He then ignored Penelope.

"Will you sit down a moment and let me get the items for you?" After what the other female did, he wanted to make sure Tia was going to do as he asked or at least not go alone.

Tia giggled abit to how quickly Tracey had noticed.
"What's going on? Ive quite noticed people are being told not to go below deck." Tia raised a brow at the tone he had used when speaking of Penelope. Tia truly wondered what she had missed, but thought that Tracey would tell her if it was important.
"Yes I shall, but really, what's going on, you seem bothered by something?" Tia said simply before sitting idian style on the deck while still holding her hand.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 21, 2006 9:38 am

Tracey wasn't sure how much to tell her about whats going on. When she agreed wait, he smiled at her and said, "I'll explain when I get back." He made his way below deck, ignoring Penelope. Below decks, he doubled timed it to the storage room the deck above the restricted deck. Filling a bucket full of clean water and two extra rags he had what he thought he need..

He then left to go back to the top deck as fast as he could. Walking back to Tia, he dipped one rag in the water and kneeled beside Tia, gently putting his hand under hers, he took the rag and started to help her clean off her hand, "The Captain doesn't want us to go down to the bottom deck. Its forbidden for now." Not looking to Penelope, he answered her second question, "She went down when I tried to tell her not to. The Captain is probably going to be very happy with me because knew no one was supposed to go down there." He kept all emotion from is voice, he would not blame Penelope, he was at fault to allowing her down there, she was at fault for what happens to her as he was for him.

Penelope's fear raged on, and she slowly backed away from the door. Tears claimed her eyes as the ferocious Dragon-Kin threatened her, and she clung to her sword, which was a mere toothpick compared to his. "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean any harm!" She defended, tears streaming down her face now. Through all of her tears, she did manage to catch a slight glimpse of Annabelle. Penelope's eyes widened, and she gasped. This girl has the consumption! Miss Zandrasus thought. She felt awful for this lovely girl. It was a shame that someone so beautiful should have to get so horribly sick. Once again, her thoughts were interrupted as the fearsome Dragon-Kin towered over her. Her hands flew to her face in defense, and she backed away.

Tears dripped upon the floor now. I did not mean for this to happen... Thought the innocent girl as she was escorted on deck by a very mean woman whose name Penelope did not catch. Bloody pirates! Thought she, running to the edge of the deck; trying to isolate herself. Her sky blue optics were clouded with sadness, and she felt guilt all over her body. She was still trembling from the Captain's threat, and she felt like she just wanted to stay on the island and wait for another ship to come in. Possibly a ship filled with kinder people. She stood at the bow of the ship, and leaned over watching the waves roll past and hit the hull. Penelope sniffed. The Greek girl felt a little bit better as she watched the comforting sea. She loved the water, and it made her feel much better. It was calming, and she soon forgot about the past events. Her thoughts wandered to that of her son- and how she'd never seen him after she ran away.

She missed her darling child, and wanted nothing more than to see him again. Penelope pondered, and realized that her baby was now seven, most likely. What was his name? Penny thought, slumping down on the ground, and pulling her feet to her chest. "Achates." Whispered Penelope. "Achates was my son." Suddenly, her head hit her knees and she began to sob. I deserve to be alone. I deserted my son, barged on this ship, and ruined my life. I have no friends, and no purpose in life. It's my fault! I am so stupid! She scolded herself. Her trembling hands formed into a ball and she pounded herself repeatedly, sobbing all the more. I wish I was dead! Because of my stubborn ways, I've earned myself a horrible name on this ship, and I will never see my darling son again.

Would anyone ever understand?
