Archer smiled as he saw her shell crack just for a second. "I do try my lady." he smiled and bowed once again. Move made a lot less... grand considering he was in sweats and a t-shirt. He motioned to Angel clutched in her grasp. "And who, may i ask, is this little fellow?" he asked kindly. But.. Archer really wasn't and animal person, he could deal with cats, but other than that many of them made him feel uneasy. Maybe it was the fact that pets became so dependant upon their owners, and atleast cats only became dependent for food and water and other times tended to ignore their owners. But having a rabbit held close to him was starting to distract him. As long as it wasn't his he would be able to deal with it, but even still....

Archer kept his face a mask from all this though, it would be rude to show it to the lady.

"Angel," Estrelas said, giving the rabbit a fond kissy. "My rabbit," she stated. Angel's bright pink eyes flicked about the room, taking in sights and sounds.

She didn't add, My one companion that's stuck with me past my usefulness in getting money or somewhere, but that was true. Rabbits were better than men. They wouldn't abandon you even if you turned as ugly as a craphole.

Samantha West reached for hte handle to the door several times, before finally wrapping her fingers around the cold metal and opening the door. Having come down from her room, she had been infomred by someone- their named escaped her, for some reason- that many of the new recruits- and the older ones- were gathering in the training room. While Sam herself had no desire to fight, or to learn how to do so, perhaps it would be a good chance to get to know the others.

Swallowing her heart, which had found it's way into her throat, she stepped off to the side, just to observe for a few moments.

During her time in the Training room, Laurel had gone through several types of warm up exercises. Things she normal would have done in her room. Finally she stood up from her last push up. The woman started to slowly walk around the room, she didn't want her legs to cramp.

Still in her thoughts, she didn't noticed who or how many people where still in the room.

As Archer and Estreles talked he was scanning the room, the other man had exited a little bit ago, but archer expected him to be back shortly. In the meanwhile another woman had entered the room as one was finishing warming up. Archer just could not help himself. There certanly is alot of pretty ladies here he thought.

"And a good companion I'm sure." He said to estrelas, smiling and forcing down his discomfort enough to reach out and pet the rabbit.

"why don't we walk my lady?" he asked, he could feel his muscles tightening from his workout, he needed to move to keep them lose. "My Muscles are complaining, and though I enjoy your company, i feel that if i don't get moving soon I shall be in a lot of pain." he smiled and laughed to lighten the mood of that statement. "So if you wouldn't mind I would enjoy your company while I work, even if you do not wish to work out with such a homely man as myself."

Estrelas smiled her trademark glamour-girl smile. Once again, it lacked humanity of any type at all. "I am anared (honored), sah," she replied as politely as she could. Sometimes she hated these polite people- it was easier to snap and shout than honey her words to a dulce sweetness.

She looked around. There was no where to walk, unless....

The treader-windmill thing.

She bit down bile. "Sah Archa, I don't suppose you could show me how this strange flatbed works?" she asked, putting Angel down where the rabbit couldn't get into any trouble.

"of course." Archer said, "It's really very easy." He motioned for her to grt up onto the treadmill. "First of all, stand on the runners, when the treadmill starts you don't want to be caught off guard. then it's just a matter of entering how fast you want to go, how steep the climb, and away you go." he said smiling. AS soon as she was up he would help her to get going while he did some weight training, or he might even try running a little.

Estrelas pushed the buttons around like Archer had demonstrated.

Soon, the treadmill had picked up- thankfully, she was just dressed in a linen-shirt, not her full traditional dress.

She fiddled with the various speeds until she settled into a loping stride.

Estrelas smiled brightly to Archer- a sincere smile for once, not her usual politely icy grimance.

"This is weird- running with going nowhere," she commented.

Archer couldn't help but smile back and nod. "Yes I guess it could feel weird if you're not use to it. I find that it is great to occupy your body while you think." He to got up onto a treedmill beside her, and started up the machine in a decent jog.

"when i'm alone, it works to think back on places I've been, people I've met." he said, his breaths making small breaks in his conversation. "try and peice the few things from my past life back together, but it's all just something to keep my mind busy."

Estrelas stole a quick glance at Angel to make sure the rabbit was okay. To the untrained un-rabbit eye, she appeared to have died from a sudden heart attack. Anyone who knew rabbits knew that she had gone off to sleep.... Good. She wouldn't get into trouble.

Estrelas mulled over Archer's words. "...Would you care to talk about it?" she asked hopefully. "It... I find it helps me sometimes to tell someone." Places I've been, people I've met...

The thought of excitement and adventures Archer much have had, domestic or otherwise, gave her the little shivers. It had never occured to her that these people, her comrades, had pasts, dramas, actions..

Archer smiled and looked over at Estrelas "Well i guess, there's not much to say really..." He thought. "before I was contacted by Lotus I lived in england, Worked with a makeshift police force there. Bunch of strange people there, but... well we all felt like we wanted to protect something." Archer shrugged "It was some fun times.... but not all of them..." Archer seemed to trail off. "there have been some really evil guys in england's past, when the times shattered we all kind ended up together. Some decided that it wasn't very good to continue, others well...." Archer stopped.

"That is not a story for this time or place." he said smiling. "and what about you?" he asked.

Estrelas felt a sudden pang of furious jealousy. Makeshift polife force! Strange people. New strangers. Protect good against evil!

And the most Estrelas had ever done was save the henyard from catching on fire.

She couldn't stop a rush of blood to her face. What had she done anyways that was impressive?

"...I'm a peasant farmer's daughter," she admitted. "...I haven't done anything but run away."

Archer smiled."I don't remember much before the shattering of the times, so just being able to remember that you did run away is something."

For a time he was quiet, as if thinking.

"Farmers are important to the life of a country too." he asid after a moment "without the food that farmers provide many would starve. It's mroe important than a police force that really has no way to keep the peace anyways." he smiled sadly.

"besides, from the kid's I've found, running away takes a certain amount of courage. Just some didn't have the best of... reasons for leaving." he chuckled.

Estrelas smiled at his compliment to farmers, then sighed. "Papa said it was a noble profession, feeding people from the earth." She grinned guiltily. "But it's a very boring profession. And laborous too." An angry cloud obscured her features for a moment as she declared, "I with there were more people like you, Mista Archer, our fine rulers force us 2/3 of our crops, even in years when the rain is so dry that it doesn't fall!" she exclaimed, then smiled sheepishly.

"I was estupidoes, was I not? I ran away for excitement and to see more of the world. Our village was basically untouched by time- we did not get... Any of this fine machines," she admitted. "............We only got rabbits." She waved a hand at Angel. "When time fractured, it sent an entire farm of fine large rabbits to us."

Archer chuckled at her rabbit comment. "Well, I can say, that you may have found your excitement. Of course, weither or not it's the type of excitement you want is yet to be seen." He smiled. "Well, rabbits are not nearly as bad as it could have been.but i can see the problem on a farm."

he grinned, "and consider yourself lucky you still remember your childhood and past. I don't really remember anything short of a year and a half ago." He smiled.
