Artemis was finishing up his food and took a bite out of his garlic bread. "They probably have all sorts of failsafes against people escaping. And besides, Moreau, and his company, is very influential. They'd probably be able to turn all forms of press, government and things against or at least away from you if you were partially animal and human and supposedly came back from the dead. That's what they tell your family. You died." It was a rather long speech and he did his best to make it objective but there was a smidge of irritation in his voice.

Vacation, my a**, he cruelly thought. He didn't even want to go on a cruise and now if he ever went back to America, or even civilisation, he probably wouldn't be fully human. He already had a small personality change. Before, he liked sleeping without covers whenever he could. Now he piled them all on the ground and slept there, burrowed in. "There might be some shark hybrid out there that isn't particularly good at controlling his cravings, maybe." He responded to the retorical question.

Artemis shrugged, "I guess you'd just get eaten. I mean, they probably have cameras everywhere but I doubt they could or even would send help in time. Maybe see how the carnivore responds to becoming a semi-canibal." Semi canibal. Funny word. Hard to imagine someone being a 'semi-canibal' but then, there's never really been a 'semi-human' before.

Katherine listened quietly, laughing at the thought of having the random compulsion to eat someone. She fell serious once more at the realization that it was, however, entirely possible. With a shrug, she said, "I guess we'll just have to see what happens. I haven't heard of anyone getting eaten yet..." She frowned. Had she heard anything about islanders attacking each other? Hmmm.....

Linany smiled at him. "Thank you." She sighed in relief. "Well, they probably have some sort of system set in place to prevent th at... or maybe people don't lose that much control..." Linany yawned again, streaching. "Well... now what?" She asked softly.

Artemus stretched his arms. "Probably when we arrive or the night after or sometime like that." He shrugged and rubbed the back of his neck subconsciously. It didn't feel any different than before but he hadn't made any form of practice of rubbing the back of his neck to see if there were chips implanted before the island. He dropped hand hand and drew small circles on the table with his finger. "To have so much to do you can't choose and thus choose nothing. A lot of rich children are like that and since we're thrown in this pseudo-paridise, I guess we're like that too."

"I'd be up for anything," Katherine replied, shrugging. While she was indeed feeling lethargic and slightly antisocial, a large part of her wanted to continue to converse.....well, at least, as much as she could. Truth be told, she was a little afriad of being alone on the island.

While she didn't fear anything, unpleasant thoughts kept creeping up whenever she was by herself. Staying with people as much as possible was probably a better choice than taking yet another nap or watching yet another dvd.

Linany stood slowly. "Yeah.. swiming.." She smiled nervously. "Um.. I'd need to go back to my room to get a swimming suit..." She was a little afraid of getting in the water and swimming, and not because of the shark talk from earlier. 'This oughta be interesting...' She thought to herself.

Artimus shrugged. He rather liked swimming. He could feel what was going on around him more based on the waves and ripples in the water. "Let's go then," He said, standing up and walking next to Katherine.
