"But of course!" Professor Elm grins. "Another Cyndaquil, eh? I've seen more of the new trainers choosing it and Totodile. Hold on a second, I'll definitely go get your new partner!" He disappears into the back room for a short while, soon returning, Pokeball in hand. "Here you are! I'm sure you'll make a great team!" Brayden finally made it to New Bark Town. After a short while making his way to the lab, he finally stood outside the doors, a grin on his face.
"Today's the day, I suppose," he announced to no one in particular. Steeling himself, he opened the doors to the lab, peering inside.
"Is this Professor Elm's laboratory?" he asked, stepping inside once he noticed the piles of paperwork. It seemed to be the right place.
"My name's Brayden. I've decided to become a trainer, and came here to see about getting my first partner," he explained. "I was wondering if you had any Totodile left?"

Brayden released the Totodile from his Pokeball, smiling as the miniature aligator appeared.
The Totodile looked up to Brayden, regarding his new trainer. Sniffing slightly in disdain, he proceeded to nap.
"Well, I'm sure this might take some work, but I'm sure to make you into a fighter," Brayden laughed, scooping up the lazy Totodile.
"Thanks so much, Professor!" Brayden waved with his free hand as he made his way out the door.

Ken walks inot the lab and sees a Totodile running by. He runs over to it and picks it up. The Totodile bites his hand. "Ow! I'll take you! I'll call you Chompers!"

Nakromare Eniue came shyly walking into profesor Elm's lab, "um excuse me profesor Elm? can i have a cindaquil, please?" "You most certainly may. Haven't seen many trainers here in Johto in a while. Let me go and get the poke'mon for ya." the professor said as he was walking to the back. He returned with poke'ball in hand. "Please take good care of her."  or Cyndaquil (f) Lv 5 HP- 40 Pers- Impish Tackle-20 Growl-10 Exp 0/15 (you may choose between the sprites.)

Since Chikorita wasn't too popular, he had several ready for any trainer. "...male...male....ah! Here we go! A female Chikorita!" the professor mumbled as he searched for the correct one. Tarra received a Chikorita! (btw, it only has the attacks that it does for now. Also, if Astral hasn't told you, check the Pokemon Attacks II on the Guild Forum (It's a sticky) to know when Chikorita learns a new attack.)  or  Chikorita Lv 5 HP-40 Personality-Careful Exp (0/15) Tackle-20 Growl-10 (You may choose between the sprites.)
