i'm honestly pretty angry about this, i seriously feel like they're favouring newer members, which isn't fair.

true it was harder to earn gold as a newb, but they are now raking it in, and we're getting dribs and drabs, what sort of thanks is THAT for staying faithful to the site mad

i still dont like this...i always heard that if its not broke then dont fix it...and they have seriously messed this up...and as much as i would like..i honestly dont see this causing any effect on the economy..its gonna be that much hard to to try and reach those high priced items now... sweatdrop

i log in every day because i collect on all accounts on the DC every day.

Fudgey's post count is 600+ and i've made over 2K polling with her today, consistently getting between 8 and 14 gold for polls neutral

i did go hang out in the arena for a little bit and made more gold there then by posting and polling together stressed ...not to mention that i dont know what happened to where it says how much you are getting for whatever...i went and it is on..so i tried cutting it off and saving..and then cutting it back on..and it still wont show....guess i willed it away rofl

If they're truly making newer accounts with lower post counts earn more for polls than older accounts with tons of posts, then I'm thinking they're *trying* to even out the economy a little by slowing down the gold-making for the already rich people (or they figure older accounts are richer) and making it easier for new people to build it up until they've been on here a while, and then they slow it down too. It makes sense when I think about it that way, but then maybe they don't realize they're giving people motivation to keep making new accounts just for the higher gold-making, if that's a true thing they changed.

I can also see where maybe Gaia is wanting to mix it up a little bit and kind of make people do different things besides straight polling all day (which can get tedious, boring, and keeps me from accomplishing anything else all day sometimes!) So, we'll get more gold if we vote for a while, post for a while, comment in people's profiles and journals (although those are going to start stacking up, I'm sure!), vote in arenas, and maybe fish or play towns. Oooh, I haven't tried towns since the change! Oh yeah.. that's cuz it needs the new flash player on here and I couldn't get it to work! Jason will have to fix that for me tonight. He's done it twice already on my computer, and for some reason my computer always has problems dl-ing/installing it! [/rant]

Ohmygosh, I just tried to wander towns (Jason got flash fixed! yay!) and I thought maybe I'd get a bunch of gold at first, like with posting and polling and whatnot, but it wasn't until like my last tree of the neighborhood that I got 2g, and then nothing from the next SIX full neighborhoods! So yeah.. 2g for 7 neighborhoods, and we gotta go to the grocery store now, so I can't keep testing it. But that gold giveout sucks! neutral

I just saw in the QnA that a guy was getting his regular 10g per poll... but he had to do the post/poll thing to get it. Hmm... I wonder if this would be worth trying out question
