No, I was born in Montreal, and so were my parents, so sometimes we speak french instead of English, which is what we usually use here.
Though we HAVE to take it in Canada, you can't graduate without a french credit, since French is our other national language 3nodding

sweatdrop Ya, for the most part it just slips out sometimes as I'm typing. I usually don't even notice it until someone points it out, lol.

That's cool. cool I'm stuck with Spanish. oh well. I've actually been in Mexico for the past week. Now, whenever I see someone who is a janitor of some sort, I automatically assume that they don't speak English and I begin to formulate a sentence in Spanish to communicate what I need. sweatdrop
Anyway, I don't really see the point of taking a language to an extreme extent, or at least in America. For one, if it's for a job, there are plenty of others who speak other languages fluently, so your shotty high school stuff is not up to par. And then, once you take a class or two you already have enough to get by with people who don't speak your language. It's frustrating. domokun

Well, it's offered regularly in BC and Alberta since there are a lot of Japanese living there. In Ontario though it's only offered with special or cluster programs
