Comrade Clara Hey you guys. Clara has been asking around, with not success, for information about this Cheburashka figure. And since this the "Chatterbox" of the guild, why should I not pester all of you here? If you know anything about this thing, tell Clara. She wants to know. I dunno what exactly it is, but it looks a hell of a lot like that chuchu thing from Utena.... But you probably already knew that. sweatdrop

'Cuz he was like, a Soviet puppet. A literal puppet. gonk

I asked my mom as she walked by, and she said she knows nothing about that specific figure, but she knows the Cheburashka story. So do you have a more specific question that I can pass on to her?

Oh, and thanks a bunch for being helpful! 3nodding eek Whoa, I just realized I have mod powers when I clicked "Edit" instead of "Quote." Thanks, Hi no Neko! Wait, being helpful means not going randomly off-topic, doesn't it? Okay, so the deal with Cheburashka is that he's a character from an old Russian children's book by Eduard Uspensky. It was made into a show too; that's what that puppet thing is from. He's some sort of unknown animal (though it was decided that he looks like an old second-hand teddy bear) who lived in a tropical jungle somewhere until he fell asleep in an orange crate and got shipped to Russia. There he makes friends and has adventures and all that fun stuff that they usually do in children's stories. (I really need to start reading the book again.) I know they have the book in English translation, if you want to find out more. Didn't we have this conversation already in a thread you made a while ago in the Animation subforum?

Woah, I think we did! eek No, it's spelled "Whoa!" Well, thanks for the info. This is coming back to me now! Hooray! I might check out the book some time if my library has it. There's always the chance that they will. It could happen. Oh, and I also have Mod Edit powers. They're fun. Go ahead and abuse them. mrgreen Ha ha, mod power abuse!

Ginger Gouki Thanks Hi no Neko for inviting me in. Was I just picked out of the Blue? Is there a secrit hand shake? (if not, why?) Ha ha! Yeah, most of the people I invite are picked at random . . . the only things that really matter are being online and the ability to spell the word "you" with more than two letters. xd

Okay. If this is the chatterbox... ninja
Uncle Harry was a walrus, riding down the canyon! One day, he found a Sharpie pen. He said, "WHOA NELLY, LOOKIE HERE MAH DAISY-DOO!" before proceeding down to 7-11 to buy a loaf of bread to stick in between some trees. His littlest toe decided to fly. Fly, toe, fly! Fly with all your might! Send me a postcard from the UAE!!! I sat and chewed on my ear for a moment, pondering my next chess move. Is this how people feel when they've just farted on the pope? Spin that record, baby. My socks are in the care of your wheelbarrow tonight. Let's recline in the swamp and have a great time, I've brought my 8-track player. It's Sunday, tomorrow my nose will start speaking Sanskrit. I shall rejoice in its honor, even if Mr. Ellerbee is unchaste.
Good enough? ninja
