Ok another call for helpers, I need you to start giving me potential setting for the combats! Make a list of those you can think of and PM them to the AI.
Also, I need someone who has both a good comic collection and a good scanner (or images straight on their computer) to help me find background images from comics to go with the settings.

Besides the fights, I loved the character matchups pictures you had in the first Tourny.
Nova vs. GL in the Jungle...I heart them!
- Off you browse for them in the 'Dome.-

@ Clark- I'm a little confused why you're hesitant to enter the battle. The items you highlighted aren't really any different then the last dome battle you participated in-and I still laugh sometimes over how well the "Superman vs. Goku" battle went out. I thought you did a GREAT job.
In regards to the differences in voting, I'm all for this change. This way, the rpers get rewarded for the quality of their battle, rather then encouraging people to vote for their favorite participant. I remember your feeling a bit down after the last tournament because you had concerns it was turning into a popularity contest. Why would this new voting not be an advantage to you?

I thought you did a GREAT job. In the Superman vs. Goku battle, my character remained unchanged... sweatdrop I'm a little distressed about having topost this way.Wally_West In regards to the differences in voting, I'm all for this change. I didn't remember me feeling a bit down after the last tournament because I had concerns it was turning into a popularity contest unti you reminded me. whee I suppose its okay.
I suppose I will join the Art contest and the avi contest.[marvin]I suppose I'll join the battle too, though I won't enjoy it.[/marvin]

DEADLINE ANNOUNCED FOR THE MAIN COMBAT EVENTS!
Participants have until August 26th at 11:59 PM to sign-up for the combat events to give time for the organizer (and his trusty and greatly helpers appreciated helpers!) to prepare for the first round of events that should start around september 1st.
Special arrangements COULD be made with the AI if a desire to enter is revealed after the official date has passed but they will have to be justified and in the best interest of the Championship itself.
Deadlines for the secondary events will quite simply be the day they have to be submitted to the AI for the voting to start.
Please remember that if your interest to participate was mentionned in the previous thread about the championship I am still waiting for it to be confirmed in this one! (Only Nite-Wing and Starfire are concerned by this, please answer if you read it!)

d**k Grayson I have no problem doing them that way, but my heart wouldn't be it in, hence my departure. If i'm going to do something, I would rather enjoy it and think of it as a real challenge instead of something I have to do just for the sake of getting something up. I dunno I think you'd be great for the fights, but if you don't think you'll enjoy it than I hold absolutely no grudge against you (only a bit of dissapointment wink ) Also by taking a second look at the old thread I saw you mentionned being interested in the secondary events. Even if you don't change your mind about the events (which I hope you will rolleyes ) would you still be willing to enter the art and edit events?

Yeah, I'm gonna bow out of this one. I want to participate, but I may not be online for the duration of the tournament.

Tad Ryerstad Yeah, I'm gonna bow out of this one. I want to participate, but I may not be online for the duration of the tournament. Would have been cool to have you for the tournament but I appreciate you telling me now rather than letting me start planning everything and simply not show. And for Starfire: noted and thanks, I should contact you soon! Keep an eye out on this thread, I often post my calls for help here.

Clarification about combat system
OK I see this aspect is very controversial for many people who hesitate to sign up and I think it is maybe because my explanations on it weren't clear.
What I meant is that the form of narration for the fights has to be first person, not a god narrator. I think it could be good to clarify this because I think some people might have misinterpreted that as being an obligtion to limit the length of posts.
If you want an example of what I meant, just open a regular comic and read it, that's what I'm hoping to see.
