The Al Bhed nodded in thoughtful understanding, not even contemplating that Naruto might be giving her an excuse & not the truth. "So he needs someone? Why that shouldn't be too hard! You could say it's our favorite thing to do!" She snuggled happily into his chest, curling into a ball. Remembering that she was supposed to be helping Miranda with finding someone for Naruto she started plucking at the ninja's orange jacket sleeve nervously. How was she going to do that?

Relm let her hand slide from Keme's arm as he pulled away, his words striking a deep cord in her that reverberated painfully. Her light green eyes a mix of compassion for whatever pain Keme was feeling & frustration with herself over her own 'what she wanted' that she was still having second thoughts about. Ever since meeting Seifer & Sefirex she had been tearing herself up over what it was she wanted & the artist mage still was unsure.

She did know, now, that she should not let Keme mope about it alone. Her book was heavy though, and awkward. Keeping an eye on where the hummingbird male went, Relm stopped by the lovebirds chair just as Rikku was changing the subject. "I wonder how Miranda & Kaleb are doing?"

"He managed to play knight gallant until Keme stepped in." The artist answered, startling her sister who had not paid attention to her arrival. "Last I saw they were holding hands, though it might have just been for security."

Rikku brightened. "Booyah! That's awesome!" She hugged Naruto happily. "Isn't that great?"

"It's a start." Relm agreed nodding, but she too was smiling a little. "Look... may I leave my book here with you? I don't want to carry it around And I..." what? I'm not even sure myself. "...don't think Hummer should wander by himself right now."

"Huh?" Rikku gave her sister an odd glance, not accustomed to the artist pausing like that. "Oh yeah, sure. 'Ruto was worried about him too." She waved her sister off kindly.

Relm smiled her thanks, setting down her bag & trotting off in the direction Keme had gone.

Naruto smiles happily and snuggles Rikku close, purring a little bit as he nuzzles her, "Yea, maybe you could help him, maybe help get over his own heartache." he says quietly, his tail swinging slowly now. He looks up when Relm appears and he smiles over when he hears about what Kaleb had done for Miranda. He blinks when Relm leaves her book with them and watchs her go off, "I hope she can help him...." he whispers to himself.

Keme stood in front of a shelf of books, looking at them, but not really seeing what was in front of him. He holds his drink to his chest as his tail swings slowly back and forth. He knew he told her he would get over it, but for some reason, he couldn't let it go. It wasn't as intense as before no, but he couldn't help feeling a little heartbroken over it, thats why he stayed away. He's ears start to droop down as he thinks on it more.

Rikku nodded and added her purr to her best friend's. "Yeah. We'll have to do that." She didn't quite hear his whisper, but nodded anyway where she was curled against his chest. She seemed to be concentrating on watching her own hand as she trailed a finger down Naruto's chest. Rikku felt a little selfish. She just did not want to let him go.

The artist slowed her pace, spotting Keme before a shelf of non-fiction. "Hey Hummer..." Relm began, trailing off as she could not think of anything to say. Her tail swished gently against her harem pants making a gentle sound as she came to his side. "So, do you need help choosing a book on..." She flicked her gaze to the sign at the top of the shelf & read it aloud without thinking. "Sexual Intimacy?"

Relm froze, hearing her own voice & flushed crimson from ear to tail. What was she so embarrassed for? She teased on the subject all the time. "Ah... maybe I should leave you alone for that..."

Completely embarrassed Relm turned to go, but her mortification made the going molasses-slow.

Keme blinks, his thoughts leaving him and he shakes his head when he hears Relms voice. He hears her say one of the titles of the books on the shelf and his face lights up like a fire engine, "Sexual Intimacy?! What am I doing in this aisle?!" he says, backing away quickly to get away. He doesn't realize how slow Relm was going away and he knocks himself right into her, losing his balance and falling over. He twists around so he will catch himself on his hands, dropping his drink in the process.

Naruto continues to cuddle Rikku close, closing his eyes for a moment as more feelings of happiness washes over him. He peeks an eye open when he hears some giggling and he looks around to see couple of highschool girls pointing and giggling at them, hearing the words 'cute' and 'adorable' coming from them and he wonders what they are talking about.

Miranda, of course, still doesn't notice, putting the Brian Jacque book back onto the shelf. She looks around, hears flicking about, a happy smile on her face.

Kaleb took a couple deep breaths, if Miranda was fine with the holding hands thing, it would be rather uncomfortable if he got all nervous and pulled away. Well, he had no control over the nervous part of that, but at least he could wait until she wanted to let go.

He was afraid to say anything, just in case he ended up squeaking and stuttering.

Now that the embarrassment was his more than hers Relm could laugh again. Laughter glinted in her light green eyes as she stood up herself. "That's very good to hear. I wouldn't want to have to be the one to break it to your future mate that you were having problems."

She handed him the shaken iced Chii with a tilt of her head so that she was looking up at his ducked face. Her skin tingled seeing the darkness under his fur. "Be a bit more careful, would you Hummer? I'd rather not buy another." She mock-pouted up at him.

Then her face & tone grew serious. "Look... about what you said before... if you need someone to talk to, I'll listen. If you want."

A small growl rumbled in Rikku's throat. If she was not so comfortable & loathe to leave the thief would be half tempted to walk over to the girls & give them a piece of her mind. Although she was not quite sure what that would be. Instead, the love-struck but oblivious female turns her face to glare at them. Her eyes flashing 'mine' even if her thoughts will not say it.

Between Naruto's touch & the way those girls skittered off Rikku was feeling pretty good about herself. The thief's purr intensifies & she smiles, turning her face into Naruto's chest & breathing deeply. She sighs happily. "You smell nice, you know that?"

Relm scoffs softly. "That's what everyone thinks who really needs someone to talk to." She gazed to the side opposite the one Keme was passing her on. "I've been having to re-evaluate what I wanted but can't have myself. Or can't have the way I wanted it..." She shook her head sadly. Then realizing what she had said Relm jolted. Espers! Why'd I go & mention that?
