Gone... Not here...
Impossible. The dog laid down and waited to be released. How could Laurel vanish? How could she leave the library without Elspeth or her knowing? Something was up.
"Thanks," She said softly, to the canine and the canine muttered a 'your welcome' in her head before the creature vanished. She slid a hand through her hair before moving upstairs and working the front desk.

Laurel came out of the back and saw Charlotte at the front desk. Her hands and face were damp and smelled faintly of soap.

Charlie spotted Laurel, and looked towards her. She gave her a small wave and beckoned her over. "Hey, I was looking for you a few minutes ago. Where were you?" She asked curiously.

"In the ladies' room, I got some glue on my hands and went to wash up. Did you need something?"

"Not really," She stated, thinking about the question for a moment. It wasn't like she wanted work to do or anything. When it came to work, she was lazy, especially when she had to do it by herself and she couldn't depend on her illusions.

Blitz opened the door with his usual dramatic way, a running kick. He then strolled right past the front desk and headed off toward the Book on tape section, hoping they'd have something worth while.

"Blitz! You came!" Laurel ran after him and hugged him.

Blitz smiled. "Yep" If he could have, he would have slapped himself upside the head. Yeah I did... He silently cursed himself for not realizng that it wasnt haven, and Erica wasn't the librarian. He was hoping to put off their "talk" for at least 3 and a half months.

Charlotte saw Blitz walk in, "You," She pointed her finger towards him, "I know you. You're-"
"Blitz you came!"
"That wasn't what I was going to say," She stated as she watched Laurel run over and hugged the man.
"I guess this is something simliar to a family reunion. Though, I don't think any of us are family." She stated loudly, picking her nails out of boredom and letting the friends, couple, whatever the were mingle. Though she was listening closely as pretended not to pay attention.

"Hey I know that book!" She blurted out, over-hearing there conversation. She wanted to slap herself in the face, but didn't. She blushed, and turned her gaze away from the couple.

Blitz laughed, but was not at all surprised. Dr. Seuss books had that effect on people.

"Could you please fetch it for us, Charlotte?" Laurel asked, then turned back to Blitz, "You're not a child either, you know."

"Sure," She said as she quickly went to fetch the book, a good way to hide her face for a few minutes. She returned with the book and handed it to Blitz. "Here you go, sir." She said politely portraying the Charlotte, sweet and innocent role.
