Minerva brushed back her hair into a tight pony tail. She wrapped the rubber band around twice. "It looks like I've made my decision, doesn't it." She spoke to the picture of her father on the mantle. "I haven't, though. I've just chosen a side for this battle, and this one alone." She pulled on a thin leather glove, straightening it around her fingers, and rolled them. The familar feel made her smile. "I suppose I'm not one for sides anymore."
There'd been too many lies, her bosses, the Public safety system, the six in general. There was something odd moving under the surface of the city. Minerva grabbed her old belt and buckled it on her waist, the button in easy reach. She holstered her gun, and grinned. "Time for me to go out and play."
She left her apartment with a certain destination in mind. One of the six would be answering her questions tonight, whether he wanted to or not.
