I started in Middle School, mainly cos I wasn't good enough. I'm in Senior School Concert (second of three bands) but it's 80% middle school people, now that Middle School's only for Year 7's. I feel cheated. >>

Flute, piccolo, and I started alto sax a few days ago for jazz band o_o; I need to slow down...although sax is easy, this is my forth year on flute, and piccolo is basically the same as a flute.. omg i'm not the only person here going to seventh grade (well from what i have read so far) by the way...has anyone heard of the South Pointe Middle School band or our band director Mr. Acciani OR Ms Esbenshade? sweatdrop -miyoko

Well technically, I graduated from middle school, but I still don't consider myself in high school until my first day. I just finished 8th ^.^

Wow, I remember when I joined this guild; I was in 7th, I'm pretty sure! It was pretty cool being the only middle school member. 8D

I am going into 7th grade. I think it is really stupid that at my school the 7th and 8th grade bands are together. For the second year i am going to be the only girl in the brass crying . The rest of the brass were(and still are) all losers. Back in 5th grade we had a really good trumpet, but she switched over to percucion. mad I call her a trator.

Awwe that sucks >.< is she a good percussion player? because if she is then you can't complain..unless it's trumpet that was really for her.
We have a bunch of girls in brass, infact last year there was a girl who was a trombonist, and when she was in seventh grade she was in third chair in our wind ensemble and last year in eighth grade she was first chair biggrin .
Oh no...now I'm starting to wish that my conductor and the people who could change schedules change mine.... gonk they sticked me in brass when i'm a woodwind player.
we have a new principal...and she seperated the brass/percussion from the woodwind!!! I'm sure it was NEVER like that, last year in sixth grade it was like that just so we can experience other electives every other day...
but for some reason nothing went wrong during concerts biggrin .
Don't worry, feel proud you're the only girl in brass! I was the only girl in the front row...and i felt proud x3 be better then the guys and make them feel stupid--i did that smile -miyoko

There is not that many girl trumpets in my school...There is one girl who is 4th chair trumpet in the top band...I think that she should be moved up to 2nd chair next ot me because she is better then 2nd and 3rd chair trumpets...but since the first chairs of each section are the section leaders, I might be able to move her up

At my school, I have band twice a day, Regular Band & Jazz Band. Pep Band just started up, so I am going into that, and soon, I am going to join Jazz Ensemble. whee
