The mother, Lindsey (50) works as a writer for a wildlife magazine. Seemingly uptight, she loves the outdoors, especially her garden.


The father, Jack (53) is a guide at a nature reserve. He tans easily due to all his hours in the sun, and is a very friendly and knowlegable person.


Andrew(27) is the oldest child, and is engaged to Cecilia(25). He loves his siblings, and tries to be the most mature(even though Kat always seems like she's the oldest). He is a rock climbing and swimming instructor. Cecelia is a teacher in elementary school.


Katarina(22) is the most level- headed of all her siblings. She's studying to be a vet, and loves animals as much as her parents do. She's closest to Andrew, and is always willing to help a family member in need. Rocky is her puppy.


Trista (18 ) is a typical valley girl stereotype. She adores guys, make up, magazines, and lounging on the beach. She picks on James endlessly, much to the annoyance of Miley and her older siblings, and is a senior in high school.


The twins Miley and James(15) are sophomores in high school. Miley has been dancing since she was 5, and James is highly introverted. Even so, they are both very technologically savvy and close to each other and their family.


The youngest, Molly(6) is a girly girl who loves playing with her stuffed animals, having tea parties, and collecting dolls. Even so, she loves the pond behind their house.

8 years later-


Andrew and Cecilia's daughter is Karin(7). Karin loves animals and dancing, and is in one of the classes that Miley teaches.
Katarina is a vet, and married to Jake with their one year old daughter Elizabeth. Trista works for a fashion magazine, and has a steady boyfriend. Miley is in a dance company and teaches classes. James has a girlfriend and is a graphic designer. Molly is a high school freshman with a 3.5 GPA. Lindsey and Jack are proud grandparents, and spoil Karin and Elizabeth endlessly.
