After following most of the conversation at the bar, Laurel turned back to Erica. "I see what you mean. No, I don't like how things are being run here. I'm supposed to be running this Library, and they don't give me a key to the second floor. The whole place is designed like a branch library for a town half this size, and has electrical problems to boot. I guess what I'm trying to say is...How can I help?"

Wanders into the place, looking around and finds a small empty booth right next to the door, taking his seat there, he reaches up to the light that was lighting his table and unscrews the bulb, setting it down on the table, leaving his table back in the dark and sighs, thinking to himself.

Ruby St.Claire Snapps eyes widened, "you be right careful there, they can be a nasty bunch tin that place." He nodded again in emphasis, and then walked back to the bar to let her drink in peace. Sounds fun, she thought to herself. She was glad it wasn't going to be one of those mediocre desk jobs. She leaned forward in her chair, propping her chin in her hand and sipping the Pina Colada. She toyed with the dented umbrella as she reflected on what she had learned. The government might believe that it had things in its iron fist, but there was activity brewing in the underground. That much she was certain of. There was no way that supers could be entirely suppressed. She grinned to her self as she swirled her drink. I guess I should check out the Museum and see what this note is really about. She took it out of her pocket and read it again. Snapps had mentioned the Underground was as a place for supers and the blackmarket. I'll definitely be needing a few "items"... She finished the last of her drink and left the money on the table with a tip for Snapps. She had decided that she would head to the Museum first. She had seen it further down the street, and she didn't know where the Public Safety HQ was. Perhaps there would be a map of the city at the museum. That would be handy, even if they didn't have individual paper copies. Her photograpic memory allowed her to absorb all the details and recall them when she needed to. ((Just curious ED, but how much would a drink be? X3))

Arch casually walked into the club, though he made sure to keep himself at the ready. He didn't quite know the rules of this town yet, but he had heard rumors of a woman named "R.J. St.Claire" worked here. The taste of a search coming to the end grew as he approaced the bar, taking a seat and leaning on the counter. "I hear a Ms. St.Claire works here. Know where she might be at?" Arch asked Snapps, the shades masking his eyes, and anything they might give away.

(@MF--Meal items/ drinks that have no bizzare effect on the character are free, it's part of the standard rations available for each citizen) Erica smiled, "We'll let you know, Laurel, We'll let you know." She noticed Miran wander into the club but didn't recognize him, although she thought it be best if she did ask him if he wanted a drink. She was about to stand up and do so when she Arch walk in, that was a face she wasn't going to forget anytime soon, she grinned and was about to wave when she heard him ask for Ms. St. Claire, her smile faded, "oh dear."

Snapps gave Arch a look over, not quite trusting the shades. "Oy, RJ, some bloke's out here' lookin for you!"
"Comin, I'm comin." She took a raincheck on Dio, telling him that their conversation wasn't over yet, and then walked to the bar. She moved up like a cat, glancing over the bar room and then settling her gaze on Arch. "You the guy that's looking for me?"

Arch's face tensed uncomfortably as he saw R.J. walk in. He wasn't sure what exactly he was to do, but sided with a groan, his hand going to his face as he rested it. "Who are you: you are not Ruby St. Claire, so who are you and how do you know her?"

"Who are you: you are not Ruby St. Claire, so who are you and how do you know her?" RJ, sighed, "Figured as much." She walked behind the bar and pulled out a box, shoving it towards Arch, "I'm RJ St. Claire, and I took that name to get this job, and get into this city, and if I knew how much trouble the damn thing'd cause me, I'da taken the name Tina Turner instead. I Don't know her, guessing I won't ever know her, but I do get sent a lot of her stuff. Now who are you? Because if you're another person after the bounty, I'm gonna throw you out personaly."

Arch listened to her rant about the predicament, and the following threat, and began to chuckle quietly. "Yeh wanna be knowin' who I am? Name's Arch, I'm the bloke who left her for dry when she found someone she could be happy with. After the mimic's, I heard tell she went wandering, and I've been looking for her ever since. You were my last and only lead." Arch sighed, shaking her head. "So what's with the box? Takin a poll of people lookin for her?"

You were my last and only lead." Arch sighed, shaking her head. "So what's with the box? Takin a poll of people lookin for her?" "No, this here is what people keep sending me. I've gotten stuff from her cousins, her brothers, mostly things they found when cleaning up or some stuff left to her from her Grandmother. I usually give people a take home souvenir, before telling them to get lost." She pushed the box forward, it was full of a few pictures, a red diary, some homemade jewelry with tell-tale red beads, and a few other things that didn't make much sense. RJ tilted her head, "Arch, as in Arch Lannen? Damn boy, there're some letters in there for you." She leaned over and pushed around in the box till she brought out a group of worn envelopes held together by a rubber band. They were marked with a big red "return to sender" stamp. "They're old, most of them, right after the mimic revolution. Apparently it didn't occur to the girl that the postal system wouldn't be working very well, let alone be able to find some guy whose address happens to be his bus. I started getting them about five months ago, then stopped after the last one. And yeah, I read them. I know it's illegal, but everyone's got their curiousity." She handed the group of letters to Arch. "She was crazy, you k now, plain crazy, though the last one may have made us all cry a bit." ((I'll send them, they were originaly just made because it was funny, but then, unfortuneatley, they did get sad.))

Arch paused, too baffled to comprehend the letters in his face. His mind was racing: 'She sent letters to the bus? Was that her being funny, or was she losing her mind? Her brothers said she was acting a bit weird.... oh god.' Arch shook his head, taking the letters with a short nod. "Thank yeh. Yehve helped more'n you could guess, dahlin." Arch quickly stood up, moving back to a table in the back of the club.

RJ, gave a shrug, "No prob, an if there's anything else of yours in the box, or something you'd like help yourself." She left the box up on the counter, smacking Snapp's hands away from it. "You get back down stairs, Snapps."

Arch didn't bother sitting up, he just passed Erica the last letter Ruby sent.
"she said in three months she was gonna die." He said after she finished reading it. "She's gone, Erica."
