Charlie examined the markings on the ground. "I hardley know any of this stuff too, maybe we should try calling out for him. Whats his name?" Charlie asked referring to the kid.

"Walt, I think," Emily replied, squinting at something that was stuck on a branch up ahead. She moved ahead of the others for a closer look. "It's hair, or fur, or something. Might be the dog's...might be some other animal's."

((thanks guys. i know you will do a good job. well its 4 05 am and we are leaving at 1 pm. I would like to get some sleep and i will need to finish getting ready so talk to y'all in about 2-3 days. I will try to hop on in the AM before we leave and see how you all are doing and say bye!)) xd

Em stepped forward and plucked the tuft of hair from the branch. "What kind of dog was it again?" she asked, looking closer at it.

"Yellow lab... i think." Charlie said trying to remember what he heard.
"Alright well i think we should follow these prints." Carrie suggested, she wasn't sure if it was Walt's footprints but it was something. Boone nodded, "Good idea... the kid has a dog right?" Boone asked. "Yeah, yellow lab." Carrie explained. Boone stared at the ground Carrie looked behind her noticing Boone hadn't responded to her. "You okay?" Carrie asked. Boone knelt down and picked up a red leash, "I think we are on the right track." Boone said examining the leash. Carrie glanced over at Kate, "What do you think we should do?" Carrie asked.

"Hmm..." Emily let the tuft go, and it blew away in the breeze, "seems too light to be--" she held up a hand, listening. "Did you guys hear something?"

Kate considered Carrie's question, then nodded up ahead. "I say we go east; I think I saw some broken branches up there. Hopefully we're getting close."
"Yeah, 'hopefully''s the key word there, ain't it?" Sawyer grumbled under his breath, lighting up another cigarette.

Charlie and Nicole stood completly still listening for the sound as it got closer. "What is it?" Nicole softley asked.
Carrie nodded and they began walking. It started clouding up and it started to downpour. "Guys, we better hurry up before the trail is washed away." Carrie shouted through the heavy rainfall.

Emily held up her hand and listened, waiting to see if the sound came again.
The trees up ahead began to rustle, and Emily backed up between Nicole and Charlie, as it began to rain heavily.
"Guys," she whispered, "maybe I'm just paranoid, but that doesn't sound like the kid and his dog. Can we run? Please?"
Someone or something was running toward them.
Emily stumbled as she tried to run, grabbing the other two by the arm.
"Hey! Hey, chill! Wait!" a young man of about fourteen or fifteen tumbled out of the bushes, scratches across his pale face, and leaves and dirt smeared in his red hair.
((at this point i would like to add the character of Dean, a teenage boy who was returning from staying with relatives in Australia))

"Yeah," Kate squinted through the rain. "Hey, think I see something in that clearing!" she told the others. "Walt!?" Kate called, and began running towards the clearing.

Charlie and Nicole ran over to the man. Nicole brushed off the twings on his back, "Are you okay?" Nicole asked.
Carrie and Boone ran in the direction Kate was running to. "Walt?!" Carrie shouted, they didn't hear a reply. Carrie heard rustling in the bushes and twings snapping. She stood still while still trying to look who or what it was. They heard a bark as it came closer, and the yellow lab ran past them and knocked Boone over. "Grab a hold of him." Carrie said to Boone. She ran over as Boone got Vincent off of him. Carrie held back the dog as Boone clipped the leash on him.
"What about the kid?" Boone asked knowing if they found the dog, Walt should be near by.
They stood still listening if they could hear anything. "Vincent..." A voice faintly shouted. "Come on." Carrie said walking in the direction she heard Walt's voice.
"Walt! Is that you?! We are here to help!" Boone shouted. "Hello? Anyone there?" Walts voice was now a little clearer.
Carrie not looking where she was going tripped and fell on some roots sticking out of the ground. She sturdied herself up, Boone put a hand on her sholder, "You okay?" He asked. Carrie smiled, "Im fine."

"There!" Kate pointed a couple hundred yards away from them.
Walt was standing there, alone in a clearing, looking confused.
---
The red-haired boy doubled over, gasping for breath. "I...wanna...go home." he panted, and passed out.
"Whoa there!" Emily grabbed around the kid's back to keep him from falling over, even though he was almost bigger than she was.

"How old are you? Where are your parents?" Nicole asked the red-hedded boy.

At first Walt didn't say anything he just stood there, gazing at the crowd in front of him. "Listen, Walt your dad is at the beach, we can take you back there." Carrie started to say, she turned around and pointed to Boone who has his dog. "And here's your dog." Carrie said as Boone gave her the leash, Carrie handed it to Walt.
Charlie glanced to the right, where the other group went, he wonderd if they found any trail but he placed his attention back to the boy. "You were in a plane crash, your okay, your okay." Charlie explained to the boy and he turned to Nicole, "You think he needs the doctor?" Charlie asked.

Emily brushed the boy's hair out of his face. "He's unconcious, but i think he's still breathing."
