Gavin paused for a moment, trying to consider what he actually wanted to do. Or at least he would have except that Ina had come up with the best idea ever.
"Monster!" he nodded emphatically. "Fight bad guy and monster."
Then he could play hero again. Maybe Ina was like Haki and would praise him for being a good 'night' or whatever it was that Haki called him. Apparently times of day were titles for heroes.
"Where we find monster?"
If you wanted to play the hero, you had to find your enemy first.

Ina pushed herself off the ground, getting to her feet with an unsteady sway and stumble. Her lavender ears pricked attentively and almost seemed to quiver in anticipation. Monsters were a lot harder to find then bad guys but...it sounded like a plan! Her tail began to swish back and forth and she grinned widely, "OH-K! Monsters normally outside where dey can be all hidden in twees!" Right? Stories always said monsters were in the forest! So they had to be there! "Come come!" She chimed as she swung around and began to hurry back towards the downstairs again.
