Random vocab propogation: Which should I translate? For the sake of the bonfire on Saturday (zomg tomorrow!!) I may go ahead and do The Raven... razz
Then again, I may just get distracted whenever my lurvlay bilingual Russian book comes, which means I may not get it done that fast. Bah.
Anyways, lemme know what you thinK! Kintarasesa lacks words!

Forgedawn Random vocab propogation: Which should I translate? For the sake of the bonfire on Saturday (zomg tomorrow!!) I may go ahead and do The Raven... razz Then again, I may just get distracted whenever my lurvlay bilingual Russian book comes, which means I may not get it done that fast. Bah. Anyways, lemme know what you thinK! Kintarasesa lacks words! I'm going to translate all of those into Aquénandi, eventually. And I'm going to have a script to work with on the computer! I'm making a font. I think I'll translate The Raven first. Goodness knows I have the whole thing memorised...

Forgedawn I've added a bunch of vocab... ALSO! I have some kintarasesa in my profile now biggrin ninja I will give 1000g (1k!) to the first person who can record it, speaking correctly...... all in one go. One chance per person, void if you patch together saying it (like, say you get the first half right then the second half then patch... no. You don't get that) I'm having a little trouble myself, I don't speak very well since I don't get much chance to practice aside from individual words. I'll save mine to compare once I get it right myself, though. razz I may delay checking until I have it right, just so there's no chance of bias or anything like that. Don't forget this biggrin

Out of curiosity, is the Kintarasesa "v" a voiced bilabial fricative? Your definition sounded about right.

Eccentric Iconoclast Out of curiosity, is the Kintarasesa "v" a voiced bilabial fricative? Your definition sounded about right. *wikipedia: "voiced bilabial fricative"* From what I understand, yes...? It's pronounced: =Through the center of the mouth, coming out over slightly opened lips =mainly through teeth + lower lip, with upper lip slightly covering =as a w or as a v, or somewhere in between, depending on convenience in the word. I don't really know how to explain... sweatdrop

I have a brilliant Idea! I shall get my Tolkein book and start translating words in the glossary from English to Kintarasesa! Then I'll definitely be able to translate Galadriel's Lament! Hah! Pwnage. Vote on it?

I wish I could use standard word lists for Aquenandi, but I really can't. mad D
I've been translating Galadriel's Lament into it, though. But the rhythm is hard.

Lookit! A po-em! Hmm, I should figure out the word for poem. It's probably related to song. In the meantime, I'll go post the words I had to come up with for this. verq! qelelaz seul ma'n kim aran tak ma'n i sesa ma'n. aran sesan ma'n veuv-in lev-ven. xva aran nin kel ma'n ninyai!? velar veil, arya mijao- nin!- arya mijur! sujxmo'n-ar, i fermon. xelva! Night! The little plant slept while we walked and talked. We talked from sunset until sunrise. How did we say nothing!? Go here, my lover-- No!-- my love! Kiss me, And leave. Goodbye!
