allikev doc.hyphae i know that i already made this thread in the sports forum outside of here, but i wanted to here the opinions of my fellow sportsfans. to me, the greatest sports rivalry is Yankees-Red Sox, because there is so much history behind it. what do you guys think is the greatest sports rivalry? Toronto vs Montreal when the Nationals were still in Montreal but i don't think the Jays have a big rivalry with the Tigers. Russia vs Canada has to be the biggest hockey rivalry i know. The Yankees and Red Sox have got to be the biggest baseball rivalry.

Rookie40 MLB: Yankees vs Red Sox NFL: Packers vs Bears NBA: Pistons vs Pacers NCAA Football: USC vs UCLA NCAA Basketball: North Carolina vs Duke FIFA Soccer: Germany vs Brazil I think that's all correct except for the NFL. I think those two teams but also I think that the Chargers vs Patriots is going to be bad since the Pats 'celebrated' their victory.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Ohio State vs. Michigan in NCAA football rivalry and also there is the Texas vs Oklahoma rivalry also.

I think the biggest rivalry is the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry. The Boston-New York rivalry comes close, but there's just something about the Maize and Blue and Scarlet and Gray's rivalry that trumps just about everything else.

Demon_Lord_Of_Death I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Ohio State vs. Michigan in NCAA football rivalry and also there is the Texas vs Oklahoma rivalry also. most were thinking of pro sports rivalries, but, seeing all of those Ohio and Michigan pictures on the Sports Illustrated cover, this is obviously a rivalry that can't go unrecognized. 3nodding
