Kukushka
Forcing someone to choose option A because society might be forcing her to choose option B does NOT solve the problem. All it does is substitute one problem for another, one that is equally bad.

If McPhee, or the creator of the signature, really gave two shits about women, they should realize this.

The thing is, I don't think many Pro-Lifers care about the well-being of the woman as long as their perfect little Blonde-haired, Blue-eyed, White, Christian angel babies are born.
Is it just me, or do the ideal babies in every Pro-Life picture always sound like the "Aryian" race?

Indeed. That would be like someone forcing all women to abort because women who are forced to be pregnant might drowned their children in a bath tub.

And I'm really ******** sick of "feminist" Pro-Lifers. Not, mind you, people who happen to be both feminists (or equalists) and Pro-Life, that is fine. People who seem to believe that abortion is somehow degrading to women. I'm sure it is because they have dealt with so many feminists that believe that one has to be Pro-Choice to be a feminist. But claiming that feminists must be Pro-Life is just as stupid, and really alienates most women.

It is possible that whoever created this stupid signature might indeed care about women. However, this signature is obviously just angering most women, and alienating the people it is (supposedly) trying to help.

I saw that icon, and I thought it was some sort of failed attempt at sarcasm. What idiot came up with that, and is he dead yet? Better yet, are they locked up in an asylum, with a nice strapped jacket, and big fluffy walls? Send that idiot to the happy hotel and be done with them, cause they make no sense at all. Oh my gosh, basic anatomy isn't part of our school courses any more? What has the world come to? Apparently the only people who understand how guys and girls are different are pro-choicer's and doctors. Somebody call the school board...

god forbid that these perfect little angels aren't born, because then we'd all go to hell in a handbasket. I'd much prefer sipping tea with Satan then living in a world where women have no choice.

Umo, who read the whole thing?! *raises hand*

I think it goes more against the pro life than against us if anything.

Essentially it can argue the equal rights argument of pro choice. I just think its a shame where the stream starts.

Start reading from "Let me ask you somthing" and it makes more sense as a pro choice.

Or I might be tired?

I thought it was Pro-Choice the first time I saw it, but it isn't.

It really is from the stance that abortion makes people view women as weaker, and that if women wish to be seen as equal to men, they shouldn't get abortions, since men don't.

Wow. That made absolutely no friggin' sense. Or perhaps it's because I just woke up and am quite drugged still on sleep aids. :0
I'll go with the former rather than the latter, though.

Basic biology....men don't have uteruses so men can't have babies....and men can't therefore have abortions.

Kill for free sex? WTF. Just, seriously.

I am confused by this particular statement as well.

I am fairly certain that the author was not referring to prostitution -- that would just be silly.

I am fairly certain that the author is well aware that abortion is not a free procedure.

I am also fairly certain that the author recognizes the use of contraceptives -- I could be mistaken about this though.

Perhaps the author, if (s)he happens to notice this post, may PM me with an explanation -- or, if any choicer knows what is being said.

I believe, from what I can understand, that many Pro-Lifers feel that aborting is a woman's way of getting free sex, without having to have any children from it. And so they see abortion as a way of killing to get sex without children.

I could be wrong though.

that's a stupid thought! men don't get pregnant, so basically their sex is ALWAYS free. the only way their's isn't free if they pay for it, or the women gives them the baby to take care of. or they get an STD.

That may very well be true. I was, apparently, thinking too literally.
