Despite the conflicted emotions that raged within our tragic hero, the spectators cheered at the sight of blood, and stood up in their seats to applaud the victor. They knew nothing of the lives of these fighters, knew nothing of their struggles, and knew nothing of what it was like to be in that hole. They had simply come to see one stranger destroy another.
"Two men enter, one man leaves," the booming voice said, "Gath has won today, may good fortune shine on his next fight."

He didn't want to ruin the mood, but he felt he owed it to his combatant to at least set the record straight.
"Actually, only one man entered... Kerri was a woman."
A sullen sigh slipped from his lips, his gait towards the exit was nothing quick. Slow and steady did he leave.
"..Hmm."

The fight was over and the crowd had moved on... but Kerri's body remained.
Across the arena floor, a small animal hopped toward the corpse. A bunny rabbit, snow white, with a blazing red feather in it's mouth approached slowly. Reaching Kerri, it pawed at her face and jumped on her body. Kicking her chest over her heart a few times, the bunny sat down satasified. The feather fell out of the small creature's mouth and on to Kerri's body. As soon as it made contact it glowed and burned quickly to ash.
"Ugh..." A groan came from the body of Kerri and all around her body her wounds closed. Her eyes fluttered open and darted around quickly. Seeing the bunny, she grinned painfully and raised a hand to rest on it. "Thanks... Sirius..."
The bunny put it's paws on Kerri's chin and sniffed at her face a few times before hopping off into the sand. Slowly Kerri got up, pain shooting through all her limbs, but not the pain of a wound, the acheing pain of a person who has physically strained all their muscles. "I'm going to feel this worse in the morning..."
Kerri began to limp off toward her exit, shaking her head. "Father is going to be disappointed... first round elimination."
Looking at the bunny who was hopping in front of her now, Kerri grinned. "Well at least I can go enjoy the rest of the festivities."
The bunny seemed to agree with an extra high hop and a shake of it's rear.
