Indy nodded, accepting her answer with no problem. Storms weren't everyone's forte, as they weren't Badiri's favorite thing either. But he enjoyed them well enough, and was more than willing to help make someone else's 'storm time' enjoyable if he possibly could.
A spring in his step, the dark chocolately colored wild dog matched his pace with Damalis' as she bounded ahead, his own throat and nose welcoming the sweet water scent. Oh how a drink would be so welcome, he could almost already taste the clear liquid. Oddly though, and without much thought, Indy spoke. "Ahhh this is heaven... Good times, new and beautiful friends, water nearby, and the promise of a lovely shower. What more could a guy ask for." Giving Dama a wink, he inched off ahead of her, making the run to the water hole another race. Tired as they were, the pace wouldn't be too fast, but fun none-the-less.

Dama gave a chuckle after Indy's comment and nodded her head as she attempted to use up the rest of her draining energy to match his pace. "Not sure... Sounds pretty perfect to me." She added and chuckled lightly again. Pushing ahead, her heart leaped as sight of the watering hole came in sight. "Ah! There it is!" There was nearly a skip in her step as the cool dark pool started to slowly grow closer.
The storm clouds seemed to disapear in her thoughts and the thought of rain seemed to completely left her. This good mood was not a very rare thing, but it was charished even so. Traveling didn't come close, and this seemed to completely make her day.

Indy observed the exhaustion in both Damalis' and his own strides. They were both quite tired at this point, but the day had been well worth it. Slowly he began to slow up, panting heavily as he closed in on the water hole, and eventually stepped up to it. Paws touching the edge, letting the water seep into the fur at his feet. Thirsty as he was, he was still a gentleman, if a bit rough around the edges most of the time, and he waited for Dama to take the first drink before he made any move to do so himself.

Damalis wasted no time getting into the water, her front paws in ancle deep before she dropped her head to stare at her clear reflection. Before taking a drink though, she flashed her friend a greatful look, but not too long later was she lapping up the refreshing liquid. After drinking her share, white paws sunk deeper as she walked out a bit farther, the cool water soaking into her fur-- What a joyful feeling after a long hot day.
With a long, heavy sigh, the small brown dog slowly made it back to shore and floped tiredly next to her friend.

Once Damalis had waded in, and he saw her grateful look, the brown wild dog bowed his head, then gingerly stepped into the water, wading in a fair amount, up to his knees, before he dipped his head. Remaining attentive to the dangers that could be lurking nearby, Kijini'indindi couldn't help but groan slightly in appreciation for the cool clear liquid as it refreshed and soaked into his parched throat. River dangers wouldn't be a problem here, as this was a simple pool of water, and there didn't seem to be any lions or the like around, so they seemed safe enough. Closest creature to them was a zebra herd, who'd likely not feel threatened by a single pair of tired out dogs, as they both were.
After drinking his own fill, Indy sank down into the water, folding his legs like accordians, and completely drenched himself. The coolness felt good against his skin, but he knew he couldn't stay under long, for he'd ducked his head under as well. Coming back up, he waded back to the edge and sank down to the ground, followed by Damalis shortly after. He hadn't even bothered to shake off, instead letting the water stream off of him like tiny waterfalls.
"I don't believe... I've had this much fun in ages. How about you?"

Damalis streatched out her limbs, tired and wet. Grin crossed her maw as she lifted her head up slowly and resteded her chin 'pon her companion's shoulder. Giving the back of his ears a quick lick, tail whirled in a cemi-circle to rid of some unwanted water that still remained clinging to her fur. "I really dont think I have. Not in a very, very long time." Her tone was airy as she emmited a long yawn, ivories bared for the moment her maw was open. "Thank you." Dama added quietly before curling up close to Indy with a huff and a short giggle, nuzzling her nose into the scruff of his neck.

Indy's ears tilted comically as he glanced at his shoulder and his new friend's head resting upon it. Said ears then twitched slightly as she licked them, the sensation both tickling, and soothing at the same time, a shiver running down his spine from it. "Well, I'm glad to help then. Fun is a rare thing when you're wandering alone." As an after thought, he added, "Or in another's company that you'd much rather ditch over a cliff." The reference was in relation to Badiri, whom still hadn't popped up at all yet. Dare he be so bold as to hope maybe the cliff thing was true and that Badiri sent herself sailing into the air without a care in the world? Doubtful, and he should be ashamed of himself for thinking such things, but it really was nice to be rid of her for a while.
Contagious yawns, he thought as he himself bared elongated canines, aptly named, in his own large yawn. The lethargy he felt seemed to increase 10 fold with that single action, and considering she didn't seem to want to get up any time soon, Indy felt compelled to comply with the laziness within himself. As she arranged her nose into his scruff, Indy yawned once more and curled his nose up by her paws, closing his eyes. "You're quite welcome. And thank you, for coming along when you did. You seem to be quite a good luck charm, warding unwanted things away." With a deep chuckle, Indy's tail wagged slightly, hardly any energy within him to do much with it, still water-logged and heavy from his dip. The storm slowly rumbled closer, already gifting the plains with a nice gradual temperature drop. A nap seemed to be just what was called for, right about now.
(We can end it there, and start a new one, if you like, or keep going in here. I don't mind either way XD They're cute XD)
