Okay...that was bad... sweatdrop Actually I lost my good reed, but luckily the newer reed was ok. I made first chair. Yay... I'm a freshmen and I beat everyone else. I'm so happy!!

I play oboe. Mebbe in high school I'll play bassoon, but mebbe not. They're huge, and hard to fit on the bus. sweatdrop

Nicholai Maxwell Leviticus can shove it whee I play the oboe! Or am supposed to. It freaking broke. And it'd be fine.. if I were in my schools concert band. But i'm in Symphonic Wind Ensamble, and our music is good, but crazy for the oboe. So I can play middle range.. but that's like, it. So I must get the oboe fixed. I've been practicing flute in place of it at home, but switched to clarient((My main instrument)) for the time being, because we have an evaluation in three days, and I dont want to go in there playing flute all crappy. Ahh. Well, my school is so small, we only have one band. So, I have no choice. I do really love my oboe, though. Me too. And I'm the only oboe. This saddens me greatly. crying I told all the flutes I'd teach them how to play the oboe for free, but it's just as well that they don't take me up on my offer. They are all crappy, except for one. They just don't want to work. Grrr... stressed

Nicholai Maxwell Hey everyone! I am an oboe player, by way of the saxophone. I was just dropping in to say hi, though I will note I saw you talking about marching bassoon, and I joke about marching oboe. Has anyone actually done it? My band director claims I would break too many reeds. I play the oboe as my main instoment and have taked up the alto sax for marching band. Yes, i have marched with an oboe it was only one time for a holloween pareade we did in elemtary school and it was so cold out that the obes did not work at all. It was not a very fun day triing to walk and NOT stabe meslf with the tiny reed. Thiking about it now it is really funny becouse wile i was walking it was really windy and i had a wig on to look lke a wich for Halloween and the wig flew of my head.

Out of about 45 people, we have only one oboe player, and there is a school-owned one.

we ahve 2 band in my school but as a tolot ther are like 200 people and 5 of them play the oboe. biggrin like me but im in one band and the oter 4 r in the other.. somehow...

i played the bassoon during hishschool..never really tried out for the marching band.I guess the marching band we have here in regina marches with bassoons....but I'm way to lazy to learn their hard music....
