RHPS_Dude that Ashton Kucher is going to play Ash in the remake of Evil Dead Dude, you've just been punk'd. Sam Raimi still hasn't found a director who he thinks can take care of his little baby, and until that happens, no script is being written, nobody is being cast as Ash, and no part of the movie is being filmed.

Thank God! I hope they don't get around to remaking it.
The beauty of the original films comes from Sam Raimi's odd choice of camera angles and Bruce Campbell's badassness. I don't think anyone else could do it justice.

Pansa Ah, those movies are so amazing. The third one has some of the best one liners in existance though. ("That's just what we call pillow talk baby."/ "You thought I was beautiful once." "You got real ugly."/ "Clatu, Verata, N*cough**cough* Okay, I've said the magic words, I'm taking the book now.") just to name a few. Also, try watching these movies all in a row, with a bunch of people who have never seen them late at night. 3nodding It's halarious. Although you might have to ask them to stop thinking. Incidently, is the second movie actually like a re-make of the first? That is, are you supposed to assume the first movie didn't happen or that it did happen and he just thought it would be a good idea to take his new girl there and give her the same magnifying glass? I've always wondered. question The second movie's been explained by BC himself as a short recap of the events in the first movie, if you were to ignore all his other companions. So it's not a remake, exactly, more like picking up where Ash's story left off. They just cast a new girl in Linda's part cause they couldn't get the original.

My top five favourite Evil Dead moments:
5. The ending scene of AOD at S-Mart. Just the perfect way to end the series.
4. The scene in ED2 where Ash first gets his chainsaw hand. This is where you know that Ash means business.
3. I still dig the scene in ED2 where everything in the room decides to laugh at Ash, especially the deer head. I loved Ash's reaction to the bobbing lamp. xd
2. I'm a real sucker for this kinda thing, but I loved the whole battle against the Deadite army in AOD, it kicked serious a**.
1. And alas, my top favourite moment would be none other then the classic Tree Rape scene.

I liked the second one much better. The whole hand-possession sequence is hilarious!
"Who's laughin' now???" *slice*
Very good. But the first one what with the vine-rape thing...I didn't like it.
Haven't seen the third yet, I'll rent it some time!

Lol, all so great, fond memories! *sighs and has her chain o' command fan her* My favorites have always been any scene where Ash is kicking EVERYONE'S a**! Preferably with either the bookstick or chainsaw, or an awsome mixture or juggling of the two.

There will not be a fourth evil dead, but there will be a remake. However I'm sorry to announce that bruce will not be playing ash. For he is getting too old for the role.

I liked the first two. The original was the only actual true horror film in the series and second, while also a bit freaky at times, had an excellent dose of dark humor. The third film was just utterly campy though.
