When Shenti did not immidiately respond, Devlon turn to regard her with those reflective orbs of his that assimilated the visual information in the room. Noting the distant look in her eyes, Devlon gave her a few moments before recalling her from her own thoughts. "Shenti?...are you feeling okay?"

Tanasha [OOC]I wonder if people actually need a secure courier service <.<;;[/OOC] ((I would imagine so. With all the Gaia raids and the Wave attacks, as well as the rogue Tide Dwellers, anything that travels from city to city through the Tide is succeptable to a whole slew of attacks. Maybe the Wave should think of emplying you...))

However, secure communication could still be a problem, since anybody can listen into radio, and encryption can be broken. However, it's impossible to eavesdrop on quantum entanglement communication, and even if you could you wouldn't be able to get any information out of a person's raw thoughtstream since it's completely unintelligible - the joys of internally demiconsistant processing systems. 3nodding [/OOC]

Sori walked silently through the forest closely followed by Raiku. "What is this hostility I sense in the forest old friend? it is unlike anything I have felt before. The trees themselves seem forlorn and shaken.See how thier Branches droop? What is happening? Please tell me." Sori asked of Raiku. "I know not young one, you need not worry your self about it. Practice your abilities you must." replied Raiku. "If you wish it." Sori sighed. "I wish you'd tell me what's wrong." Sori sat down on a tree stump and placing her hand on the trunk let happiness flow from her fingers allowing it to seep into the heart of the tree. "Raiku, tell me again how you found me." Sori pleaded burying her fingers in his fur. "Please?" "Well young one, when you and I were muuch younger, I believe you were about eleven, I was walking in the forest and I came across a young girl, that young girl was you." Raiku began. "Me?" "Yes you young one. You were small and scared and shivering. Well when you saw me coming towards you you were terrified. I tried to calm you and eventualy you figured out i wasn't trying to hurt you. I took you to the villege and they took care of you but every day you came to the forest to bother me." Raiku joked. " Now you live here and your abilities are improving greatly since you first began three years ago."

Kai Karasurei A small processer whirred slightly as Devlon thought of what Shenti was saying. Or rather computed was the word for it, now that it was no longer a biological system. The sound supressors kicked in and the whirring stopped. Devlon sat a few more moments in silence. "Well, smuggling in my positronic brain is not to difficult. You could also smuggle pieces of me in one at a time and reassemble me in your office. It may even give the image of progress. Any materials that you need to 'use' for construction can be brought back here and concealed. It would help in any personal projects you have or repairs that I need. We can save me positronic brain for last. If I need to get around, there has been something I have been wanting to try. Its a bit soon to be thinking about it, but if it will help..." Devlon was hesitant to mention it. Before the explosion, Energy Unleashed had been very big on biological matter. So much so that it had been growing entire blobs of the stuff in hopes that they could harness bio-electrical energy. Devlon's old brain could not make sense of everything they had done, but his new one absorbed the information stored in those memories more completely. With a bit of practice and research, Devlon was reasonably sure he could duplicate the process... When Shenti did not immidiately respond, Devlon turn to regard her with those reflective orbs of his that assimilated the visual information in the room. Noting the distant look in her eyes, Devlon gave her a few moments before recalling her from her own thoughts. "Shenti?...are you feeling okay?" "Yeah," she said uncertainly. "I'm worried about getting caught...that's all," she tried to assure him. Truth was that her brain was in overload, trying to calculate all the probabilities and possibilities of what they could do and what might happen as a result. Unfortunately for Shenti, she was not a robot, and even a robot might find years consumed in the task. Taking her friend apart was a disturbing thought, but Shenti relied on her scientific pride. "Piece by piece is a great idea. But your brain needs to remain attached to the core in order to assure...continued functioning." She tripped over the word because this was her friend that they were talking about. Shutting off his system could be no problem, or he could mysteriously never start up again, or start up, but never be the same... just a robot. "I could bring the core in under the pretext of bringing clothes and things for the night. As long as no one offers to take my suspiciously heavy bags from me." Clawing her way back into the scientific mindset, she asked, "So the goal here is just diagnosis and better self-understanding? That's great, but isn't our ultimate goal to get you out of the house?" Shenti was unsucessfully trying not to pout. ((VERY SORRY. Omigosh. If I'm ever gone that long, PM me! I won't consider it an imposition, but likely thank you for it.))

"One step at a time Shenti. Remember the whole reason for this is to give me the identity of another test subject. The problem is the Wave may not want to relinquish their 'rights' over me once you 'invent' me for them." Devlon's robotic face frowned. "We are going about this all wrong. We are willing to risk too much. Rather than sneaking me in, we should sneak the papers out! Then its just a matter o a few simple changes. I think it would be easier, don't you? And I can help rather than just sit idly by while you reassemble me piece by piece." Devlon wasn't looking forward to that; it would be very boring...

Shenti was reluctant to give up her equipment that she had at work, but after a few moments she nodded.
"If we are caught, we might have the chance to run away. Even if we have to leave the city, it would be better than being captured at work. This way we might at least be able to meet some people before they figure it out. And with any luck, one of them might help us out of here."
Thus, she realized, "I don't want to stay here."

"Don't want to stay?" the mechanical voice repeated her statment as a question. Devlon hadn't considered the need to leave the city, he was avoiding it. How could a mechanical body like his survive out in the Tide without the Wave. "We would only need to leave if we get caught. If we cover all our tracks, we won't need to worry. Even so, do have a plan? What you would do? Where you would go?"
