September 2nd, 2005Journal Entry 024 I left Taranis at home for a few hours last night....And what did I find when I got home? A comeplete mess. He and Ilco had raided the cupboards in the kitchen...Well more of Taranis did. Ilco just knocked the stuff down for him...Or at lest I think so. At lest the two are getting along...But the kitchen was such a mess. Took forever to clean up. Taranis did help clean though...Even if it was for about two minutes.
I should have known he'd cause some trouble when I was gone. The little trouble maker. I'm going to have to tickle him later for that.
I have however noticed a slight change in his attitude. He's more hyper and he is being a tad friendlier. He still doesn't like being held of huged for too long though.

September 22nd, 2005Journal Entry 025 It's been a while since I've written, quite some time really. I keep finding myself as of late huming tunes of songs I used to play on the piano. Makes me wonder why I didn't bring a small keyboard over to the island. Oh well, perhaps if I make a visit over to the mainland I can bring one back with me...Or maybe not.
Anyways Taranis seems to be learning quite quickly. I've been teaching him words, although he still has a hard time pronouncing some. He has however learned what a lot of words mean, and some more things he needs to do to become a good messenger. He seems really excited, yet he's always trying to get Ilco to tech him how to fly. I guess he just doesn't want to belive that he can't fly. No matter how much I explain it to him, be belives that he can fly if he learns from someone who can.
Quite a little handfull he is.

October 16th, 2005Ankiro & Tsukai The Centre was empty - as it seemed to be rather often these days. Kiro had someone in particular he wanted to catch today, and had plans to go find her in an hour or so.
The invites that Pueblo had made for them had been dry for a while now, and the neko-jin had spent the last little while writing them out - he now needed someone to deliver them, and he could think of someone who'd be good for that.
He'd also been surprised to find the pile of pumpkins in the main area - it had gotten him wondering. Someone else obviously had Halloween on the brain. And this could only be a good thing! Yakobi & Taranis "Taranis, must you sit on my shoulders?" the girl asked as she looked up at the young polar bear/penguin Aerandir who was floped over on her head. She chuckled a bit as she heard his reply. Simply yes'm.
Slowly they were making their way to the center, no real reason for heading over there...Well other then Taranis wanting to go somewhere and Yakobi really didn't want to disturb anyone, so she figured the center would be the best place to head to."We thure yut?" Taranis asked tugging at his guardian's hair. He let out a small sigh as she told him that they weren't. It wasn't far, but she sure was taking her time walking. "Hurry up." he whined.
"We're almost there silly." Yakobi spoke pointing ahead at the building in the distance which was slowly getting larger. Ankiro & Tsukai "Keeo... how'd'y'do tha' on'?"
Kiro glanced over Tsu's writing practise. The small boy seemed to be taking a shine to this writing thing. He was also showing a determination for it - he was certainly doing a lot of practise.
"That one's an 'R' Tsu. Remember when we did 'P'? It's like 'P', but with a kick underneath, like 'K'."
"Li'e tha'?" asked Tsu, concentrating as he wrote out a wobbley P with a kick, making an R of sorts.
Kiro nodded with a smile. "That's it." He tilted his head to watch Tsu for a few seconds, before hearing someone approaching. He then leaned a little as he tried to look around the door from where he was sitting, as it stood a little open. "Hello...?" Yakobi & Taranis Yakobi walked slowly into the center, Taranis still tuging at her hair. When the young Aerandir realized that they were finally inside, he began to tug at her hair more. "Ow, Taranis!" the girl quietly shouted.
"Dwn, dwn!"
With a shake of her head she crouched down allowing the boy to hop off her shoulders without injuring himself.
"Hello...?" a voice came, almost causing the girl to jump. Well that was startling. She looked round the corner, spying a door somewhat open. "Kiro!" she smiled. Ankiro & Tsukai "Hey Yakobi, Taranis," he greeted them both, nodding a little.
"He'o!" announced Tsu, getting down from his chair a little quicker than Kiro, bouncing as he landed on the floor and racing towards the newcomers.
"Just the people I wanted to talk to," Kiro commented, squatting down next to Taranis to talk to him. "I've got some favours to ask you for... if that's okay?" He paused before going on to explain. "I've got some invitations I need delivered for me, for a Halloween party. I'd also like to measure your height and weight for a job I'm supposed to be do-"
"Tha' bi's fun!" Tsu announced suddenly.
"Tsu likes reading the scales," he explained, then glancing up to Yakobi. "And bouncing on them..." Yakobi & Taranis "oh wow that's Tsukai? He's adorable!" the girl blurted out as she saw the child Aerandir. He was just so cute looking!Taranis gave a nod as Kiro spoke to him. "K..." he grined before saluting Kiro. He turned to his guardian. "I going to du...luer...stuff!" Taranis never did seem to attempt speaking properly when excited.
He blinked as he thought for a moment, "Whut's Hull...o..bean?" Ankiro & Tsukai Kiro grinned widely as Yakobi's outburst. He totally forgot she'd never met Tsukai the way he was now. "Yeah. He's not been grown very long..." he murmured proudly.
As for 'Hull-o-bean'... well...
"Ha'o'een!" said Tsu excitedly, throwing his hands up. "I's we'n pe'pul dress up as sca'y stuff and te' sto'ees an' stuff! I's fun!" he assured Taranis excitedly, unable to help himself hopping from foot to foot excitedly.
Kiro, having retrieved the things he always got when he was measuring the children, watched Tsu's excited explaination. He'd gotten himself so eager for Halloween that he could talk this animatedly about it having never experienced one?
He put the scales on the floor, and knelt beside them, tapping them with a finger. "Could you step on this for me Taranis?" Yakobi & Taranis Taranis' grin grew wider as Tsu explanded what Halloween was. "Druss up?" he spoke, "I wunna be a pai...rat!" His voice was quite excited, but...When was this Halloween? "Hull..o..bean now?" he asked looking at Tsu. If he knew so much about Halloween then he must oviously know when it was.
His blood red eyes shifted to Kiro and then to the thing that was placed on the floor. He turned his head sideways then upside down as he looked the thing over.Yakobi giggled watching her charge. "Just stand on it Taranis, it's not going to hurt you." So the little guy wanted to be a pirate for Halloween, she'd have to find a way to make him a costume then.Standing back upright Taranis poked at the scale before standing upon it. Ankiro & Tsukai "Ha'o'een's... uhh..." His expression a little uncertain, Tsukai turned to look at Kiro. Dates came with numbers, Kiro noted, as he wrote down the number on the scale.
"It's in about two weeks. Fourteen days." Kiro spoke softly, not at all certain if Taranis had sorted out his numbers yet. Reaching across for the tape measure, Kiro stretched it out and up the Aerandir. "Stand straight for me kiddo..."
"Ha'o'een's soon tho'!" Tsu carried on enthuiastically.
"Thought about what you wanna dress up as?" Kiro asked his charge, rolling up the tape measure and indicating to Taranis that he could step off the scales now.
"Uhh... no' ye'..." the boy admitted thoughtfully. He wondered if Hope would want to dress up too. Somehow he figured it wasn't the cat's type of scene... Yakobi & Taranis Taranis steped quickly off of the scale, happy to have that over with. If Halloween was soon he'd have to start getting ready. He'd need to get a costume, yes that was the first thing he was going to do when he got home."How have you been Kiro?" the girl asked keeping an eye on Taranis making sure he didn't get himself into trouble. Ankiro & Tsukai "Not bad," Kiro answered, pushing the scales to one side, laying his notebook on top of them idly. He needed to get a move on with these things - he'd already taken his sweet time as it was, and he'd not even finished on Cetalu yet. And he didn't like offering excuses for tardiness. "Running a little behind with a few things - but it's nothing I can't catch up on."
He then got to his feet, dusting off his knees and took a pile of invites off the table. "These are what I want Taranis to deliver for me." He offered the pile towards the Aerandir. "They've each got everyone's names on, just whenever you get around to it."
After handing them across, he looked back to Yakobi. "How about you? We haven't seen you for a long while." Yakobi & Taranis Taranis glanced at the pile of letters that was handed to him. He looked them over, there were so many. He'd be quite busy delivering them all. "Wow." he exclaimed holding the bunch of letters tightly so he didn't loose any."I've been pretty good." she smiled. "Busy though. I've had to travel to the main land from time to time due to some emergencies." She placed her hand on Taranis's head gently messing up his hair. "Taranis and my cat Ilco have been causing a whole lot of trouble as well." Ankiro & Tsukai Kiro nodded in understanding. "We've got a cat too - Hope. I don't think Tsu's figured out that she doesn't like being prodded. He's too curious for his own good I think." He grinned a little and poked Tsu with the end of his own tail before looking back to Yakobi and continuing. "Hope there's not been any trouble on the mainland?" Yakobi & Taranis "Not much trouble." she stated. "Just some problems forcing me to head over there. But it's all good. Shouldn't be any more problems for a while." She glanced back down at Taranis. "Taranis and Ilco both seem to like raiding the cupboards." Ankiro & Tsukai "Cupboards, yeah?" said Kiro with an amused expression. "Hope's favourite place is under Tsu's bed - which is a bit strange. I figure they love to hate each other," he said with a smile.
"Speaking of Hope," he murmured, "she's probably wondering what's happened to us." Kiro smiled apologetically. "Thanks for your help guys. I really appreciate it." Yakobi & Taranis Yakobi laughed, cats were such oddballs it seemed. "It's no problem at all, I'm sure Taranis is really excited to deliver all the letters." She looked down at her charge, "Right?"
With a look up at his guardian Taranis nodded, "Yup." he shouted happily.
"Nice seeing you again Kiro." she spoke with a small bow. "We should get going now Taranis, m'kay?" When she turned to look at her charge he had already headed off for the door.

October 21st, 2005 The young Aerandir slowly made his way up to front of the house. His red eyes looking over the place making sure he was at the right place. He had been given his directions, but for training purposes been sent to the house by himself. Finding that it was the correct house the boy walked up to the door, knocking upon it once before placing down an envelope then running off to finish delivering his pile of letters. This was only the first dilvery after all. -------------------- The young Aerandir moved onto the second house he needed to deliver the envelope to. Adjusting the strap around his shoulder the boy quickly jumped up to the front door. After a few quick glances about he placed down the envelope and gave a knock on the door. Not waiting for an answer he quickly turned upon his heal, walking off to deliver the rest of the envelopes. -------------------- Taranis was only at the thrid house and he was already getting tired. Why did the houses have to be so scartered? He stoped for a moment, tugging at a leaf on a bush. With a deep breath he raced towards the front door placing the envelope in front of it, knocking on the door once then running off to slowly finish his job. -------------------- Taranis had stumbled upon his fourth house this time slowly advancing towards it. After placing the envelope in front of the door he gave it a knock before continuing on his task. -------------------- Taranis was almost halfway done his job. He only had a few houses left to diver envelopes to and then he could head home and play with the cat. With a lazy yawn the boy walked up the next house's door placing the envelope infront of it. As he had done with the other houses, he knocked on the door and headed off to deliver the rest of envelopes. -------------------- With a skip and a hop the polar bear/penguin Aerandir made his way to the next house. Looking though his pile of envelopes he pulled one out that was labeled for the inhabitants of the house he was in front of at the time. Placing it in front of the door he gave a knock on the door, turning quickly to deliver the rest of the envelopes. -------------------- Taranis shuffled over to the next house on the list, quickly placing the envelope by the door, he gave it a knock before heading off once more to finish the job he was assigned. -------------------- The young Aerandir smiled to himself, he was almost done with all his deliveries now. As he walked up to the next house the smile grew larger, yes this was one of the last houses he had to head to before he could go play. Placing the envelope down he gave a knock on the door, making sure the envelope was directly in front of the door. Quickly he ran off to finish his job. -------------------- Taranis had come upon the first of the last four houses. Quickly rushing towards the door he placed the envelope in front of it. As he had done with all the other deliveries he gave a knock on the door before heading off. -------------------- Now the little Aerandir boy seemed to be rushing at his job. He was picking up his walking pace as he was getting closer to finishing his job. He felt as if he had run around the island a few times. Walking up to Alyosha's appartment he placed down a note labeled to Alyosha (of course) and Aica. He knocked on the door once before leaving to deliver the last two envelopes. -------------------- Now quite excited, Taranis had come upon the second last house. He only had one more delivery to make after the current one. Rushing up to the door he placed an envelope in front of it. With a quick knock on the door he ran off to deliver the last letter. -------------------- The young Aerandir let out a happy shout as he spied the last house upon his delivery list. With an accomplished feeling he placed the envelope down in front of the door, giving it a knock before running off home to play.
-------------------------------------------------------------------Journal Entry 026 I do belive Taranis has done a good job delivering all the envelopes about the Halloween party to everyone. He had to head to every house and he didn't seem to get lost. Of course I tried to stay out of it as much as I could. Only watching him from afar. I wouldn't let him be out of my sight for so long. One could only worry for so long before spazzing out. So I followed him for most of the time. Made sure he was on task. Seemed quite happy to have finished delivering them all. And of course Taranis and myself got a letter for the Halloween party, but the little guy did seem quite happy to not have had to dilver it. I think he was tired from all the walking. He hasn't walked so much before...However he was chasing Ilco around the house when he got home, so I guess he wasn't too tired.
- Yakobi ------------------------------------------------------------------- The Invite The Back Of The Invite... Kobi and Taranis!
Thanks for the help guys! I really appreciate you delivering these for us! If you get any spare time on your hands, and you wanna do something crafty - it would be really cool if you could make some kind of decorations for the party. If not, then that's fine - you've done more than enough already. But you can never have too many decorations ^_~
Thanks! ~ Kiro & Tsu

November 22nd, 2005Journal Entry 027 It's been a really long time since I've written...Then again it's been a really long time since I've been on the island. A few days after Taranis had sent out the Halloween invites I got a note from a friend that my other son needed to come live with me, due to the fact that he was giving far to much trouble back on the main land. I know it was kind of odd to just leave him with another when I originally left for the island, but I had to make sure I was going to be staying on the island and that there was enough room for him.
Anyways his name is Kaigan and he now shares a room with Taranis. They don't seem to be geting along as well as Ilco and Taranis first did, but I think they'll get used to each other soon. Kaigan seems to be quite happy to be on an island now, he gets to go surfing more. I am very happy that he doesn't use all that surfer talk all the time now, I really don't know if I could handle Taranis picking it up and talking like one all the time.
Anyways we are officially back home now, and Taranis' bed has been turned into a bunk bed for him and Kaigan. Taranis has the top, while Kaigan has the bottom one. I'm really going to have to talk to Kaigan to stop picking on Taranis though. Hopefuly they'll start getting along well soon.

November 28th, 2005It was early morning the crisp golden sun just appering in the horizon. "Kaigan, watch your brother will you!" came a cry from the main room of the small house. A sudden sound of a door shutting soon rang out after the voice.
A loud groan came from Taranis' bedroom as his new 'brother' rolled from the bottom bunk onto the floor. He had to watch the kid? That simply wasn't fair. With a sigh he pushed himself up onto his feet, rubbing his head with his webed hands. "Hell..." he mumbled as he pushed open the bedroom door, walking out towards the bathroom.
Turning the tap he gently spashed some water onto his face, another sigh. The boy pushed back his hair tying with a rubber band. His golden eyes half open as he lifted his hand to cover his mouth and yawn.
Out from the darkness of the bathroom the boy steped into the kitchen, droping his head onto the counter. Why did he have to watch Taranis? Why couldn't someone else do it? Watching that kid was a twentyfour hour job. He couldn't go surfing....Or let alone do much else. It was a cruel and unusual punishment. This was getting back at him for behaving so badly, wasn't it?
The boy stood there, his head pressed against the kitchen counter. A mew came from beside him, yet the boy refused to move. More sounds came from next to him, the boy finally lifting his head quite frustrated. "WHAT ILCO?!" he shouted at the green cat that sit beside his foot.
The cat's brows seemed to lower as his overly yellow eyes watered up, how could the boy have yelled at him?! He hadn't ment to do any wrong. With a yowl the feline scampered off, the boy showing no feeling about the upseting the cat at all. He had no reason to care after all.
"Kai...Gan..." a muffled voice came from behind the Spryggla. Taranis had just woken, his chubby hand rubbing his face. His eyes seemed to be a deep red, not the usual blood red. It oviously indicated that he was in a form still asleep or just tired. His black wings flaped slowly, as the little boy streached out his arms. It was oviously time to wake up, if his big brother was already in the kitchen. "Whut arr, we eating?"
"I am going to have some bread." the older boy snaped, he hated the fact that his brother had woken up. Quickly he pulled open the cupboard doors, pulling out a bad of break and untying it. Snatching two slices, the boy poped one into his mouth, retying the bag and tossing it back onto the cupboard shelf. Swallowing a bit of the food, he looked to his brother. "You can help yourself." He didn't care what the kid did, as long as he staied out of his way.
Taranis stood there for a moment, thinking to himself. Why was his brother being so harsh towards him? He had done nothing wrong. "B-but..." he stammered getting a quick glare from his brother's golden eyes. Kaigan seemed terribly grumpy...Much more then he usually was. Was it because he didn't like their home? The young Aerandir wasn't too sure. Maybe he just missed his friends. After all he had just recently come to the island from somewhere on the main land...He wasn't sure what had happened.
"Fane!" he shouted mispronoucing the word completly. Folding his arms he wandered over to the counter, it was by far much taller then he. Reaching out with his chubby little hands he attempted to reach something on the counter...If there had been anything up there to begin with, he wasn't quite sure. He gave his wings a flap and jumped upwards in another attempt to fly, dispite how many times he was told he couldn't.
With yet another ouf he collided with the floor. Just like always, his wings would not allow him to fly. What good were they then, if he couldn't even fly up to find things? The cat could fly using his wings...He should be able to as well. The other Aerandir he knew....They could probably fly! Something had to be wrong with him.
Biting his lip the boy stood, his gaze turning towards the window. Slowly he crept over towards it, pressing his hands against the glass. If Aerandir were birds and beasts...Then why wasn't he special like everything else? Normal birds could fly, but the only time he had ever been able to was when he was all blue...Though Yakobi had told him that that was floating...Not flying.
With a sudden protest of his current thoughts by his stomach the boy turned back to the counter. There was no way he was going to get up there without help...Perhaps something would be in the bottom cupboards. Tugging gently on the handle bar of the nearest one it poped open and he looked inside. Empty. It seemed as though Yakobi had made sure to place nothing in his reach so he wouldn't find anything to mess up the house with or place anything too low to hurt him.
"Thure has toooooo be something." he muttered closing it and pulling another open. Once again his blood red eyes gazed at nothing, but an empty cupboard. "Hmph...." he grunted pushing it shut, this was quite upsetting. He looked around, one more lower cupboard left. There was probably nothing in there just like the other two, but he decided to check it anyways.
As he slowly pulled it open, a smile spread across his face. "CRACKERS!" he shouted throwing his hands up into the air.
A sour look spread across Kaigan's face as he heard his brother's exclamation. Great...Getting up he watched his little brother crawl into the lower cupboard, ovuously to reach the crackers he had just shouted about. A sly grin spread across the older boy's face as he quickly rushed over pushing the cupboard door shut.
Taranis blinked for a moment as he allowed the darkness to set in. The turned and knocked on the cupboard door. "Let me outtt!" he shouted, he had to make sure he was heard. He heard a laugh before he got a response. "Why should I? You're nothing, but trouble Taranis." "Let me outtt now!" came the Aerandir's reply as he banged harder on the door. It seemed to him that it was getting darker...Though perhaps it was just panic setting in.
"Kaigan!" he shouted once more, as he attempted to look around the darkness. Why was his brother doing this? He'd be sure to tell Yakobi when she got back! "I'm talling!"
Those words seemed to have struck a cord with the older boy as Taranis suddenly tumbled out of the cupboard, the box of crackers toppling out with him. He looked up towards his brother, an upset look upon his face.
"You're not going to tell." the older boy seemed to hiss. The look on his face very sour. "I hate this island, I hate you and most of all I hate Yakobi!"
Taranis gulped as he pushed himself up, his hands clutching the box of crackers. Kaigan seemed more upset then he. Slowly he steped backwards, Yakobi hadn't done anything to him...She was too nice, and yet Kaigan seemed so angry.
Quickly he turned and ran off to his room.

December 1st, 2005Journal Entry 028 A few days ago I recived a package. It's quite interesting really. Still need to get a nice Christmas tree up and everything, but it's all unbderway. The tag upon the gift says it's from Kiro, I must remember to thank him the next time I see him. Taranis has decided to call whatever's inside Carl. It's quite funny. I plan on heading out to the main land to get a nice tree for the house, never brought one with me when I fist moved in and it never really occured to me that I'd need one. Christmas almost seemed to slip my mind.
About the current status on Kaigan and Taranis...They still don't seem to get along, but now for some reason Taranis seems to avoid Kaigan. Kaigan seriously needs some Christmas cheer...Perhaps I should have him go hang out with the seals that I sometimes see on the beach. They might cheer him up, seeing as he does have a soft spot for those mamals. Then again that's somewhat ovious consitering he had been a seal when I first found him. Some kind of curse if I remember correctly.
I need to get him some stuff so he can start building again...Then I need to find something for Taranis...He seems to enjoy all my clothes with the skulls and crossbones...Maybe I should have hidden those when the fluff and feather merged. Hope he doesn't end up rebelious...And with Kaigan around now, I think he may just become that way....

December 13th, 2005Voices boomed from one end of the room to the other. The young Aerandir sat in the middle of it all, hands pressed against the floor. His older brother had yet again been picking on him and it seemed as though his guardian couldn't take it anymore. Telling the older boy to leave him alone had started an argument and he didn't exactly know where he could go.
His eyes shifted from his angry borther, who had seemed to be upset ever since he got to the island, to his guardian who wasn't quite happy at the moment. His eyes widened as her hair seemed to spike up slightly. 'She must rully bee upsett.' he thought to himself, turning his gaze downwards once more.
He wished he could raise up his hands and shout for them to stop, but he couldn't. Something was holding him back, though he wasn't sure what it was. Yakobi had explained to him about this thing called...Chiristmas, a few days ago and her and Kaigan didn't seem to be in the spirit of things...Or at lest he didn't think they did.
There had been something mentioned about snow that his round ears had picked from the argument. Snow? That was some white power like cold rain...If he had remembered correctly. He'd like to see that sometime, maybe Yakobi would take him to the main land to see it. She said it snowed there.
"Is that what this is about?!" the female shouted, tossing some dishes into the sink.
"Of course NOT!" this time came a male voice.
Pushing himself up onto his feet the Aerandir walked slowly towards his room door. Taking once final glance at Kaigan and Yakobi he pushed open his room door, shaking his head. Their voices seemed to grow louder.
He stoped infront of a chest where he kept most of his toys, a thin book lay on top. Picking the book up, the boy hopped up onto the chest. Making himself comfortable he opened the book, blood red eyes scaning over the pages.
It was a book about a polar bear and these large socks. "Stokings." he said with a nod, fliping the page. There was a large christmas tree and these round shiny balls. Drawings of snow covered the bottom of the pages, it seemed welcoming. "I wunder if we'll gat a tree." The boy felt that perhaps a tree would stop the argument...And if not it would still be pretty to look at.
Thoughts of snow began to swarm though his head. Why didn't it snow on the island was the main thought. Giving his head a shake he fliped the page...

December 17th, 2005Journal Entry 029 I can't belive what heavy sleepers Taranis, Kaigan and myself are. We almost slept though an earthquake and volcanic explosion. The house is such a mess now. Both outside and inside. It seems that after the event that a few of the islands have become conected, or at lest from what I can tell. I had Ilco check it out for me...Though he's not so easy to understand. It's going to take a while fixing up the house again. Hopefully Kaigan will help out, he's good at building things.
- Yakobi ------------------------------------------------------------------- Ankiro Kiro nodded with a murmured "Got it" then starting forward at a run towards the left side of the village, knocking on each and every door he came to, not really certain who lived where and who he had seen at the Centre already. The loud way he knocked was certainly uncharacteristic considering his usual shyness, and would hopefully attract the attention of the occupants, if there were any inside. Yakobi, Taranis & Kaigan Yakobi groaned as she toppled out of bed, she had been having some sort of dream. She lifted her head up, there was a knocking noise. "Well at lest falling out of bed had some perk to it. Never would have heard the door if I didn't." she spoke herself. Quickly she threw on some clothes and scrambled out towards the front door.
Loud screeching echoed about as the lime green cat raced in circles crying. Something must have happened to startle him, though she hadn't notcied. And it seemed as though Kaigan and Taranis hadn't either. Then again Ilco was the only light sleeper in the house.
Scooping up the cat she raced over to the door, pushing it open with a yawn. Gently she rubbed her eyes, letting out yet another yawn. "Hello?" Ankiro Kiro blinked broadly as Yakobi pulled the door open. Why the heck did she look like she'd just rolled out of bed?! See... the cat knew bad things were happening...
"Yakobi," Kiro spoke quickly, perhaps even with a slightly panicked tone. "Get yourself and anything that breathes to the Centre as soon as you can. There's a bunch of us already there." He hesitated before adding, "It's an earthquake." Even after he'd said it, he wasn't sure she'd taken it in at all. "Just hurry!" he said, before leaving her doorstep and continuing quickly on his way.
As he moved on, he felt the ground beneath him rumble with seemingly renewed savageness. And... dear God... Kiro paused again in terror as he watched things fly through the air amongst the smoke that seemed to be coming from across the water. The bits being spat didn't seem to be near Cetalu yet... but give it time...
Dear God...
Quickly, the neko-jin continued knocking on doors... Yakobi, Taranis & Kaigan The girl blinked, Ilco squirming in her arms. Earthquake? She wasn't that much of a heavy sleeper...Was she? "Uhhh...right." she spoke before Kiro had gone off. A sudden rumble caused the girl to shake, toppling over, the cat falling ontop of her head.
So it seemed that she had been sleeping though an earthquake...As had Kaigan and Taranis. Oh deer! She needed to go wake them up. "Ilco, get my hat would you." she told the winged hat, who was trembling atop her head.
Though a hat was a strange request for someone to get during a time of panic, she felt as though she needed it. It had always kept her calm, well perhaps that wasn't the word. But it definatly helped with her attitude.
Quickly she rushed into the boys' room, giving Kaigan a poke. He'd be the hardest to wake up, seeing as she could just carry Taranis if she had to. "Kaigan get up!" she huffed, the boy simply rolling over. They didn't have time for this! Grabbing a bit of the boy's white hair she gave it a tug, surpressing a laugh as he sprung up.
"What is wrong with you?!" came his quick reply as to what Yakobi had just done. "Apperently we've been sleeping though an earthquake. We have to get going." her voice was somewhat calm, the whole fact hadn't completly sunk in just yet. Quickly she gave Taranis a shake, the boy simply replying with an 'merf'. With a sigh she pulled him from the top bunk into her arms. She'd carry him until he noticed, seeing as he'd probably protest to being carried.
Grabbing Kaigan's wrist she draged him out towards the front door calling to Ilco before steping out. She looked around, how could they have seriously slept though all this? Handing Taranis to Kaigan she instructed them to head to the center, she wanted to find Kiro and ask him what was going on. It never seemed to click that she could always ask whoever was already at the center.
Taking Ilco from Kaigan's head she watched as he walked off towards the center, complaining that he had be carrying his little brother. Quickly she ran off after the neko-jin, slowing when she finally spotted him. "Kiro! What exactly is going on?" she called out. Ankiro The neko-jin hesitated as Yakobi called him. Wasn't she listening?! He turned quickly back to face her, moving towards her so he could be heard more easily. "Look, Yakobi," he said, his voice unnaturally stern. "There's no time to ask me questions. Go to the Centre and stay there. They should know more than I do right now anyway." He gave her a gentle, but hurried, push in the right direction. "Don't argue with me, okay? Just make tracks." After speaking, and without even saying goodbye, the neko-jin turned away and continued his errand. Yakobi, Taranis & Kaigan With a huff Yakobi arrived at the center, attempting to tell off the sky for the bits of rock that had started to fall...Why had she taken so long to get the center? No matter, she couldn't quite remember. Quickly she pushed herself into the center, glancing around for Kaigan and Taranis. Ilco was saftly seated under her hat, trembling as he usually did.
Happily she smiled spotting them in a corner. Kaigan was still holding Taranis, who seemed to have fallen asleep in his arms. It was actually kind of cute...If only Kaigan would get rid of that disgusted look on his face. "Good, you're alright." she smiled walking over to them only getting a grunt in reply. Letting out a sigh she sat down on the floor, looking around at everyone.

December 25th, 2005Journal Entry 030 Though the house was still damaged, Christmas was good. Kaigan and I have almost finished fixing up the roof and Taranis and Ilco manged to find most of the presents undamaged in the house. I'm quite happy to say that Taranis and Kaigan have been getting along a bit better then before, though they still do get into fights.
...Now about that present Taranis had named Carl...Well it seems as though that was a proper name...Carl is well a little gryphon. It was quite shocking to open the present and see a living creature there. I wish I had known it was alive then I wouldn't have left it in the house. The little thing was alseep...Perhaps it was the one making off with the crackers in the middle of the night....Or maybe it was just Taranis. Anyways seems like we have a new addition to our family.

January 25th, 2006Journal Entry 031 Wow, the new year is finally settling in and in a few months Taranis will be a year old! I can't belive it's almost been a year that I've had him. He sure grows faster then normal creatures. Not sure if I should hold him a birthday on the day he was created or the day he emerged as a gryphon...Those two dates are going to have me thinking for quite some time.
Kaigan and I have almost finished fixing up the house entirly. The roof is finished finally, no more leaks! And the interior is just about done. It doesn't look the same as it was before, but it can't be helped.
Carl is fitting in perfectly with the family. He's crazy just like the rest of us. I find that he's been spending most of his time with Ilco, perhaps because they're around the same size. I'm not to sure. He can be a bit moody however, and does enjoy nipping at people. Kaigan especially.
Speaking of Kaigan he's gone back to hating his brother. The two keep picking on each other. Though I think when I'm not around they get along.
I feel that Taranis is begining to pick up bad habits from Kaigan. The two of them can be quite rude. Taranis is still sweet at times, but I do belive Kaigan is teaching him to be rude unless you can get something out of being nice.
Hopefully Kaigan and myself will be able to finish fixing up the house in the next few days.

February 1st, 2006"KAIGAN!" the female's voice fumed. Yakobi stood in the bathroom wraped in a towel, her orange eyes gazing into the foged up mirror. The girl's hands were gripping the edge of the sink angerly. She was going to kill him!
Her once pink hair now was now...BLUE! Her hair, oh her beautiful pink hair. What the hell had Kaigan done to her hair dye?! She huffed, lifting a fist and wipping off some of the fog that had built up upon the mirror. It would take forever for her hair to return back to normal. That was her last bottle of hair dye, and Kaigan had done something to it!
For those that knew Yakobi well would have known that her hair was naturally pink, however it was dim and dark. The girl would constantly dye it a brighter and ligter pink, as she prefered it that way.
Pushing her bangs from her face, she grabed to sides of her hair holding them up as if they were in pigtails. "This looks so wrong!" she moaned displeased, she'd have to change her whole hair style until the dye wore out or she could go to the mainlands and get some new bottles.
And where on earth was Kaigan? She had called him ages ago! "KAI-" She froze, blinking as Taranis peeked around the bathroom door, Carl dangling from his arms.
"Mom..." he uttered, blood red orbs staring at his mother's new hair colour. "Whut hoppened to yer hair?" It was odd indeed, the last he saw her hair was pink, or at least some kind of shade of it. How did she change it like that? Magic was the first thing that came to the boy's mind. "You magic?"
Yakobi smiled slightly, her boy still seemed to be having problems with some words, however it may have just been because of Kaigan, teaching him slang and other things. "No Taranis, I'm not magic." she chuckled. "It's hair dye, something that changes your hair colour." she spoke, holding up the now empty bottle of hair dye. "Have you seen your brother?"
With a shake of his head Taranis, frowned. "Nope." Placing Carl down upon the bathroom floor, he folded his arms making him seem cocky. Oviously something he had learnt from his brother. "Can I huve some hair bye?" he questioned, it would be cool to have different coloured hair for once. His black and yellow hair was boring, indeed it was as he had to look at the same colours every day when he glanced in the mirror.
"No Taranis." she sighed, the last thing she needed was for him to start getting into the dying his hair. He'd probably end up dying it every week, and she doubted she could handle something like that. The fact of his fur was also another issue that would cause problems. Blue polar bear fur just didn't seem...Right. "If you see your brother tell him I'd like to speak with him."

February 2nd, 2006The sudden sound of creeking echoed though the house, webed toes gently slidling against the wooden floor. Water fell from the air, landing in minature puddles upon the floor of the home. Pale blue tips, upon bright white hair were drenched in water causing larger puddles to form upon the ground. Webed hands clentched againsts a set of arms, rubbing them gently in attempts to bring warmth. A hand lifted and was soon placed over a mouth, soon a cough sounded. Wincing golden orbs glanced around the dark room, hoping no one had heard the noise.
"Nyao?" bright yellow eyes peered up at the boy who had been dripping all over the living room. Slowly Ilco, padded his way over to the boy, his gaze fixed upon the puddles off water that now almost completly covered the floor. The cat's tail flicked back and forth slowly as he gently rubbed up against the boy's leg, purring.
Teeth were suddenly clentched as Ilco was soon shooed away. "I don't have time for this." the voice came, the tone quite spiteful. Quickly he rushed towards the bathroom door, not caring for any loud sounds he created while doing so. The boy's webed hand reached out for the door handle, quickly turning it and rushing inside.
Kaigan glared into the mirror, his golden eyes filled with anger. A large gash was streeked across his face, the warm blood gently trickling down his cheek. "Crap..." he uttered, grabbing a rag and wetting it.
Soon he was wiping away the blood with the wet rag, muttering things to himself. He had gone surfing, staied out late..A wave had caught him off guard, and well...He crashed. A major wipe out. As long as he wasn't caught getting in at this hour, he'd be ok. He could make up a story about the cut. He was good at that.
The sudden sound of a creekign floorboard, caused the boy to turn, only to see his little brother standing there. Staring at him. Taranis' eyes were wide, as he seemed to be looking at the gash upon Kaigan's cheek. "What?" came Kaigan's irritated voice.
The Aerandir gasped, placing his hands over his mouth. "Yur bleding." he stated, before turning his gaze towards Yakobi's room door. "I'll go get-"
He paused as Kaigan placed his hand on the Aerandir's head. "Don't." he uttered. At lest it was Taranis that had woken up, he could deal with this. He sighed as his bother's reply had been 'but whyyy'. "Because, I don't want her to know." he frowned, "Keep this between us, ok?"
"Like a sucret?" Taranis chirped, not quite understanding why Kaigan would want to keep the fact that he had a booboo on his cheek a secert. Or maybe it was because he just got home?
"...Sure.."

February 3rd, 2006Journal Entry 032 Kaigan must have gotten in late yestday morning...Or he snuck in when I was paying attention. He was home when I woke up yeasterday though...Had a chat to him about the whole hair dye ideal. As usual he's not owning up to doing it. There isn't anyone else in the house that could have done it and he knows that, yet he wont admit it.
Also very, picular is a large gash on his cheek. It hadn't been bleeding or anything, but I had to ask him about it. He claims that he triped in the house. I really doubt that. Taranis seems somewhat confused about the whole situation as well...It's kind of weird. I'll figure out what happened sooner or later...As for now I have to go stop Taranis and Carl from rading the cupboards.

February 14th, 2006 It was a day known simply as Valentine's Day...Or as it was being called around the house 'Heart Time!' Yakobi was running about the house making food for the special day...Though to her Valentine's Day was just another day that happened to get covered in red, pink and hearts. However the girl wanted this day to be special.
For one it might have an effet on Kaigan and get him talking again. Ever since the hair dye incedent and the discovery of the gash upon his face, the two hadn't really been speaking. Also the girl wanted to teach Taranis about the love filled holiday.
A sudden knock at the door, cause the girl to drop what she was doing, she peered around before calling out for one of the boys in the house. "Will one of you get that?!"
A sudden blur of white and black, with just a hint of yellow zoomed by the counter headed straight for the door. Taranis had a bunch of small poorly cut red paper hearts all over his head. Though the boy seemed just fine with it. He had probably been playing with Carl...They were getting into the habit of throwing bits of paper around for fun.
Opening the door the Aerandir looked around unable to see anyone. That was quite odd. As he began to close the door he notice a small potted plant upon the porch. It was sitting right by the door, with what seemed to be a heart shaped note. If it was acutally a heart the boy couldn't tell, it was somewhat poorly cut.
"Mom!" came his voice as he picked up the plant, shut the door and raced back over to the kitchen counter. Slowly he pushed the plant up onto it for the girl to see. "I'm gunna go play nuw"
The Card Dear Yakobi and Taranis- I grew evyone plants instead of making cards for Valuntine Day. It's grafted from some a the plants that lived after the balkano esploded. It's easy to take care of. You just keep it in the sun and water it! I hope you like it! Happy Valuntine Day! Love Handa.
