I've always thought it was EZ-mee. Cuz on Aussie Idol (I know, the aussie version gonk ) one of the judges looked at the camera and said "Esme, put your tongue back in" and that was his daughter, and he said that cuz this super-hot guy auditioned. (My teacher's grandson.) XD
And he pronounced it Ez-mee.
