OMGOMG that's what I thought!!! I was like ... TWILIGHT!!! lol.
Hmm. I have decided that since they're going to ruin Twilight anyway by making it into a movie, The Covenant is actually the Twilight movie. It makes sense, I mean, even if the plot is kinda far from the Twilight plot, I bet you that the real Twilight movie will be even farther off... whooo yeah am I making sense here? I think you guys are the only ones who understand my insanity biggrin

I wouldnt want Twilight made into a movie. It would ruin the mental image of Edward being this stud that no one can compare to. And what if the guy casted is a horrible actor or just plain ugly? D: Plus I'd be too jealous of Bella. Playing that role... heart
And overall I think the movie wouldn't be too great, just ruining a lot of your thoughts on the characters. Meh.

And overall I think the movie wouldn't be too great, just ruining a lot of your thoughts on the characters. Meh. thats what i was thinking. edward is portrayed as a living god. i dont think- no matter who it is they cast- will have that sort of impact.

One: There is no way they could find any actors or actresses that can compare to the characters in the book, so they're just going to make them look silly in my opinion. Two: The movies are NEVER like the books, so it'll totaly ruin it for any people out there who watch it, but have never read the books. Three: I would like to keep my mental image of Edward, thank you very much. Four: I would be way to jealous of Bella after watching the movie. =]

Exactly 3nodding . I'd really rather keep my version of Edward (and all of the characters for that matter), than watch someone who's most likely wrong for the role and completely ruin how I saw the book. But even so, I have my dream cast of who I think would be closest to the characters...
I already know that they're screwing up the plot for the yet to be made movie, but I really hope they change it mad

At first, I was really excited about the idea of Twilight becoming a movie.. But now that I think about it.. Hell NO!
Usually, movies are bad compared to the books, and if the movie is bad, no one will read Twilight!
In Stephenie's FAQ she says herself that she probably won't eveen get a peek at the script.. so they might make it into a total teen romance film with a bunch of bimbos...
I like my view of how the character's look... Bella- a plain average girl, and Edward- an uber smexy guy. They'll might make Bella's character into some extremely gorgeous girl that is way beyond beautiful...
It happens.

I agree. I don't like Henry C. as an option for Edward. I think he looks notheing like the edward I pictured when reding the book. and also i dont think hes cute. 2nd reason: I wouldn't want them to leave out any good parts and or change the movie since they are allowed to make changes in the movie and stuff i wouldn't want to see it if its all changed and crappy or something.

I thought it'd be cool to see it on the big screen, but I know I won't be satisfied with the movie. Also, like other people said, some chicks will probably say "Oh Edward is so hot!" But not really know Edward, because I think he's beautiful inside and out. Not hot...beautiful. biggrin

MINE!!!! -psycho moment- And in the movie, I'm sure it won't be the same as the book, so I mean, you'll overhear people saying "OMG I'm so glad Bella ran away with James since he's just misunderstood. I hate that Carlisle guy." Or something to that extent. Or they'll make Bella hate Edward or have him turn her or something! I don't even want to think what'd happen in a New Moon movie!

I totally agree. i mean it would be one thing if the director had a passion for it and was deeply in love wiht the book ((like Me whee )) but they are just doing it to make money off of it. it makes me upset they are going to ruin it like ella enchanted. i dont want that to happen!!!!! one of the reasons im becoming a director was because of these books i wanted to share the world i lived in with other people. i dont care about the money. but now im just sad i wasnt born sooner. crying

I was just discussing this with a friend yesterday!
I would personally hate a Twilight movie, I mean, it would ruin all of my imaginings and views that I have of the book right now.
Well, perhaps not, but I think they'd be wasting a whole lot of money if they made it. Yes, I'd probably go to see it and all if it happened, it's just... it would not work out! This is the type of book where you can't really get away with making a movie, upsetting as it may be.
I mean... I dun wanna watch a whole bunch of famous teenagers running around on screen trying to imitate the book that much.

And don't forget, if the movie's bad, some people will think the book is terrible as well. Therefore, they'll probably refuse to read or buy it if they ever see it in stores.
