[TheJudged] Nintendo Punk 05 [TheJudged] Rhap-chan [TheJudged] Plus, the old one was so old it had mold growing on it. I scratched my initials into the mold on every key lol **falls over** Mold. On your wonderful marimba. HOW COULD YOU LET IT GET SO BAD??? I mean, come on--mold! Dry the darn thing off when it gets wet and lemon-polish it two or three times. Not hard. Poor marimba... Hey, I was only a freshman so it wasn't my fault razz heh, the ppl in my band go nuts when it starts to rain, we pull out towels and socks, and papertowls, tissues, anything to clean the instruments off from the rain... The only people who care about that in our band is the woodwinds. Evenb then, they seei t as an excuse to geto ut of band and hold their instrument bell-side up. wow, our band helps us get the percusssion stuff dried off!

Nintendo Punk 05 which is the reason why i love the band parents, we get sooooo much money because of what they do, and the budget from the school allows us to recieve more money, so this year alone they have spent over 12000 on the band alone, sooo goood.....

I'm not in battery or pitt (actually, I play flute... but this year I am in guard)
But nobody else gets this joke that I made that wasn't originally a joke, but turned out as one.
Why does the Energizer bunny play the drums?
Because he's in the Battery!
But I do love love love Battery... and pit... but since I march next to the Battery for most of the show, I love them more cause I am deaf to everything else, including the pitt. heart heart

You're supposed to hit off center. You can't really hear it with a snare or bass, but get a Quad tom drum, and hit it in the center. then hit it near the rim. then the center again. There's a definate difference there

my name is Sara and i used to play auxilary percussion. triangles...claves...wind chimes...mahtzu...tambourine...triangle...bass drum...gong...suspended cymbal...crash cymbals...keyboards...

It doesn't matter really with a Bass Drum, that's what our percussion instructors tell us, heh, i had fun in class one day and got the BD a lil mad, i hit the timpani in the center and near the rim every time... It was sooo funn, and then he had the entire band help me tune the timp... it was soo rediculous

How many people here play drumset? And what kind of band? Pep, jazz, rock, punk, whatever you do, tell us about it and your kit.
I play a ludwig myself with top of the line sabians, but I need some major makeover. Looking to get rid of the medium tom, keeping just the high and going with two floors, and add in a splash, chinese, and a dark medium thin.

Last time we stole someones pants, and threw sticks around the auditorium blaugh Section leader got soo pissed at us. She went and got the band director. And we had to go through one ofthose speeches he gives every year when we act up "You know I'm tired of this crap. I-" "Here we go again" "ANTHONY! SHUT UP!" "*snicker*" "Mr. D, no offence, but we ALL know what you're going to say. You give us this speech every year, and we still continue to act up and goof off. Why don't you try actually enforcing it for once?" Can you believe *I* wasn't the one that said something to him about his little "solution". Well, I didn't say anything loud enough for him to hear. Usually when I make a smart remark, the trombones on the other site of the room hear me and I see em laugh, but the band dirctor can't hear me.. Oi x_X;;
