Okay, well, I've been playing for about 2 years and...I'm just starting to venture from light. I can do 5 foot songs...and then I suck badly. However, it doesn't bother me too much because I still have fun and I'll get up there eventually! blaugh

5 1/2 months. I play on Standard and Heavy. Don't worry, you will get better with more practice. I played almost every day to get where I am at now.

a little over a year, first started playing DDR ultra-mix when i got the x-box, then just worked my way up from that....really helps having your own pad.

patty123329 if you are heavy just tell me I'm heavy and have been playing DDR for nine months now. I was standard when i played up to three months on DDR. The next cuople months i tried heavy!

DDR has slowly engulfed my life over a span of 3 years. I can play on 6 to 8 steps right now, and can do a few challenge songs when I'm hyper. 3nodding Not much free-style skill unfortunately. I've been a slow learner.
I completely idolize the guys at my local arcade with the mad skills. the ones who can pull in crowds of tourists with crazy breakdancing, spins, knee-drops and the like. Its my dream to by able to move that fast, and be that coordinated someday and so I know I'll probably be playing for years still.
