Edit Altaira took a moment longer than her wagon-mates to greet the other train. Her mule Dan decided he didn't wish to stop, tugging on his rope and shaking her cart thrice. After calming him down, the young woman walked shyly to where everyone was meeting. Grey eyes scanned for someone to talk to, timidly hoping someone would start a conversation so she wouldn't have to. Sindri was less timid about things. He'd already gone to investigate a pair Banya that someone had let loose to fly freely. They had settled on one of the other groups' wagon step. A black and gold Lilas and a Snow Head sat unawares or unworried by the bobcats stalking. He was almost ready to pounce when his mother scooped him up, embaressed and hoping their owner hadn't seen. "Really Sindri. You don't hunt our Banya, don't hunt theirs, my shvibzik." A single gypsy saw that the bobcat's eye were on the Banya, and he pointed the Fortunette's mother to the young aviary-keep who had just pulled three new birds from her wagon. "If the little one is looking for a Banya, Cerces has a special talent with them."

Emelyn "Crick. What a wonderful name. I'm Emelyn, and this is Pierre." "Mom... I can introduce myself." The boy gave his mother a sidelong glance, then looked up at the teen Fortunette. But after that, all he said was "Hey." The frog-teen grinned- wide, creating a spread of a smile that few would have seen the equal to. "Hello! What business have you come upon?" While the boys chatted, Crick came closer to the stripe-haired woman, smiling at her unique but beautiful visage. He noticed a whistle about her neck. "And what would the lady be doing with a familiar whistle?"

Remove Heather as in such a shock when the middle aged woman appeared. Kala did her normal hissing dont come near me thing and Amkia continued to sleep in Heathers arms.
"Oh yes, hi. I am Heather." She wasn't quite sure what to say, this woman seemed a little lively that was for sure. "Its hard work, especially when they dont get on." She smiled sweetly, trying not to show the worry for her own children. "What child do you have?""Oh, I'm too old to have a Fortunette running about my heels now," Velle laughed, a creaky, yet comfortable sound. "That's a game for the young- keeping up with the constant twists of the meij. But that boy over there- the one who is petitioning your friend- Trabor. Some of my other children have been scattered about." Velle looked at the hissing animal and the angelic child. "Oh, you poor thing. They don't get on? ...What has your wagonmother said about it?"

SilverDragon285 ......
"Come on, Khevashi," Silver called to the crow, who swooped down from the wagon roof almost silently to perch on his mother's shoulder. Silver and her children walked (and slithered) to greet the newcomers. The woman who came out to greet Silver and her children... stopped short when she saw the naga-like child slithering near. To the untrained eye, it would seem like the woman was afraid of snakes, when truly, she was stuck to the spot with the surprise of what she saw. "A child like a snake... tell me, is this Valelldia's wagon? And is there a child of fire- a fox, and a water foul about, as well? This can't possibly be her wagon..." The woman, whose name was Kidra, hadn't introduced herself- merely come up upon Silver and asked her these puzzling questions.

Menelie Caroline sweeps a jingling curtsy for her new friend. "Aye," she responds. "I was beginnin' to think I'd never see another caravan. We've gone without company except for our own for so long." She smiles then, happy to meet him. "Caroline," she introduces herself. "And this is my daughter, Rojiza." She puts one hand on Ro's head as she says this. "She doesna talk much," she explains, "But she's a bonnie wee listener, and can gesture her meaning when needbe. An' this is Majesty," she says, gesturing to the deer, "Just a pet of ours. He needed a walk, so we thought we'd take 'im out."Rojiza smiles at Trabor in a friendly manner, curtsying after her mother does. She's still rather wobbly, but there'd be time enough to fix that. She's quite taken with the colour of his hair. It's a similar colour to Lorelei's, but somehow more beautiful. She fiddles with her coin skirt while the adults talk. "Well, Caroline," Trabor said, a wide grin on his face- revealing the hint of two feline-like fangs among his white teeth, "In a normal case, I would say it was wonderful to meet you... but I'm afraid today your presence is merely a bit of a burden. ...Surely, such a beautiful creature on such a hot day will only make the temperature soar even higher." The older Fortunette was unaware that his mother was nearby, eyeing him and speaking with Heather. "And the wee one doesn't speak? What a shame for such a precocious little diamond of a girl. What has your wagonmother said of it?"

b) I'm giving you a chance to look at the Banyas...

|I want a(nother) Banya! crying xD Rojiza'll go get one, iffin' they aren't kinda saved for peoples who dinna have one yet.|
Caroline laughs. She'd out on the Filor perfume before she'd left the wagon, and a good thing, too! She blushes modestly and bats her eyelashes. "Aye, well, I cannae be helpin' the heat, no?" She pats Rojiza on the head, preparing to address Trabor's other question. "Valelldia...has said nothing about wee Ro, though her sister Oqaia has discerened three possible paths for her. The Meij tends to be quite cryptic with my little bairn."
Rojiza spots a flash of red at the corner of her eye. Uninterested in the adult talk, her eyes fix on the beautiful Banya birds. We already have one, she thinks, But Taog doesn't like Mama much. Maybe she'll let me borrow her purse and I can go get her another. She tugs on Caroline's skirt and points excitedly at the girl with her Banyas. Caroline gives her seventy couplets and bids her to go look, but if they're any more expensive than that she's to come right back. Rojiza, ecstatic, runs off. She had promised to get Rojiza something the next time another trader came up. Once she's closer to the girl with the birds, her eyes are attracted immediately to the creamy blue one. Its feathers, when they aren't blue, are just the same colour as her mother's skin. Hesitantly she reaches out to stroke it.

Mirela came to a skidding stop beside Tafari, placing her hands upon her knees as she tried to recover her breath. Beside her the bluish pelted horse paraded in triumph. "You could be a little more modest you know" the gypsy said with a grin, offering Tafari's neck a congratulatory pat. At hearing an unfamiliar voice, Mirela turned to beam a smile at the new gypsy.
"He is, isn't he" Mirela agreed, "I'm lucky to have been blessed with such a beautiful fortunette". Remembering her manners, Mirela added - "His name is Tafari and I'm Mirela, it's a pleasure to meet you"

"Oh, I wouldnt have thought you could ever be too old!" She chuckled lightly.
The question about what Val had said made Heather a little uneasy. "Oh just that they will get in a big fight, get allies, may have to reorder the wagons... just the general bad stuff." She tried to joke about it.

Oqaia Cerces laughed, high and loud. "Oh no! I dont have any children yet! My Mama says I'm still too cheeky to take care of anything but my birds." She took the deep red bird from her shoulder and let it perch on her arm as she held it forward for Irina to see. "I just got him in Enallas. I take care of them, and trade them. He's number 9, right now. Do you like him? I have a few I could be willing to trade- they're not part of my regular aviary. But this one I think I'll keep. He's a special critter." Quote: This is a Trading Opportunity ::Reliability of the Trader:: High ::Item Vouch:: Trusting Word only ^_^ ::Currency:: Gold couplets, Haggling, Item trade ::Item Appearances:: + Snow Crested Banya --- 70 couplets + Snow Head Banya --- 60 couplets + Lilas Banya --- 60 couplets Irina gave the banya a pet on the back, her fingers gliding over its crimson feathers. "Wow, he is magnificent!" she said. "What a beautiful color. I hope he brings you good fortune," she said with a smile.
Suddenly, Kal was interested in what the 'grown-up' were doing, and she propped herself up on two feet, sniffing the air as if she was trying to find out the scent of the creature her mother was petting. Irina hadn't even thought of Kal's diet. Perhaps they'd have to keep the bird caged--at least until the little badger was old enough to know not to eat it.
"I've actually been looking for a banya," Irina said, gazing at the girl's wagon and the birds within. "The Lilas is beautiful." She paused, considering which one to get. "They all are actually." She pulled her coin purse up off of her belt and opened it, shuffling around the couplets to see how much she had. "Which do you think is the best for fortunetelling?" she asked the girl, curious to see what her answer would be. "I have a feeling I'm going to need a reliable banya."

Oqaia The woman who came out to greet Silver and her children... stopped short when she saw the naga-like child slithering near. To the untrained eye, it would seem like the woman was afraid of snakes, when truly, she was stuck to the spot with the surprise of what she saw.

The woman, whose name was Kidra, hadn't introduced herself- merely come up upon Silver and asked her these puzzling questions. Silver smiled and nodded in greeting to the woman who had approached them, but looked instantly confused when she had not greeted them in return and began spewing questions. Silver noted how the woman stared at Aisrhan, who had hidden herself behind her mother's skirts. Khevashi only stared silently from his mother's shoulder as he usually did, taking in all that was happening with his unusual emerald eyes. Silver recognized Kale's description, but didn't know if the woman was speaking of Mitexi or Annjette. She thought for a moment, whether or not it would be safe to say anything... then she gave herself a mental "thump". Of course it was alright! They were fellow gypsies! Perhaps she had heard of Valelldia in her travels? I was highly possible, Silver reasoned. She nodded. "Um, yes ma'am. This is the caravan that you speak of. Valelldia watches over us all. The fox, he is a child now, as is the other you mentioned, if you are speaking of the one I'm assuming you are. May I ask how you know of us? My name is Silver, by the way." She extended her hand to the other woman.

Kale gawked. He rushed forward and took the coin, turning it about in the light and giggling. The sun warmed it's conductive surface, and he held the heat to his cheek, enthralled.
Marissa beamed. "Oh, how kind of you," she crooned, "You know just the way to his heart. Kale?" she nudged her boy. Looking up, Kale seemed to remember his manners and, grinning from ear to ear, exploited the perfect opportunity to utter the one phrase he knew,
"'Ank 'oo."

(*Hopes its ok Al heads over* X3)
Altaira offered a smile for the gypsy who'd given them the tip; maybe she'd come back and say hello properly in a minute.
"Thanks"
Coming up along side Irina, she admired the birds as well. A little nod served as a polite little hello. Her bobcat son was pleased at the sight of the Banya and their keeper, and purred when she put Sindri down. Like Kal, he was paying attention to the avian creatures.
"Aren't lilas dependable?" And that one is coloured like Kal's mushroom, she felt like adding, but her sort burst of - probably rude- social attitude had failed her.
"...such a nice collection of banya..."
