I like both. Granted, I haven't read too much of the manga (that's my next project), but they both have their good aspects.
Anime: This is what I started with, essentially. My friend burned 1-75 for me (she's a nice friend, can you tell?), and I got 76-97 for myself... and for the longest time, I did nothing with these episodes. And then I watched all of them within the span of about 2 weeks. sweatdrop I like the fight scenes in the anime... there's nothing like an animated fight scene, in my opinion. I like the seiyuu, I like the vibrant colors, I like the music.
Manga: From what I've read, the manga is not made less interesting by having watched the anime first. whee This, in my opinion, makes it good in its own respect. As someone else has pointed out, the art is more detailed, the story a little more in-depth... and things of that nature.
Overall, the long story short is that I can't choose between the two, and will keep on with both! whee
Though, I'm surprised at the amount of people who've never seen the anime. sweatdrop It makes me wish I had enough CD-Rs to make copies for people... sweatdrop

Personally, I like the manga more because I have better access to it, but I like the anime because I can actually see what's happening in complicated action scenes.

i read the manga and i watch the anime. i love it that the anime series stays so true to the manga! the anime is truly the manga coming to life. unlike other anime series that take away some of the stuff in the manga. but the naruto series is so loyal to the manga and they even add other stuff to it!
