The Trooper is a great song, there is also children of the damned lots of people like Run To The Hills but I favor Fear of the Dark I love the bass in that. well I love the bass in all there songs

I know, Steve Harris influenced all these great bassist now. he inspired me and made me pic up the bass. Just his fingerwork, his timing, his originality, and his timeing in when to playsongs is mind bending

I was listening closely to the Iron Maiden bass playing done by Steve Harris. His playing is fast....even for a regular guitarist! Obviously he has some skill!

I have a new found respect for this band now...

<I have listened to them for a long time, but this was the first I listened to them for the sake ov bass guitar.>

Yeah, I know what you mean. I loved them before, and then when I got a stereo that actually had a bass boost option I was even more blown away then before mrgreen Steve Harris is probably my favorite bass player of all time. Now if only I could learn to play that fast sweatdrop

Bass players rule and steve harris is amazing. I've been thinking about picking up a pack of his strings, but damn 50 $ for four strings, come on! But they are Steve Harris signature strings, hmm.

Fear of the Dark has to be my favourite song.

I just went to their concert here in Portugal, 16 June, it was so great, can't wait to see them play the new album next year XD

Exacly, I love listining to the bass in just about everyband. but iron maiden is the one that takes the cake. Steve Harris is the one that started me playing bass. some of his songs are easy to do like The trooper, the clansman, Fear of the dark and stuff like that, but other s**t like wraithchild, aces high and phantom of the opera are remarkable

But, in either level of difficulty, the bass in that band is one of the best and if not the best. Thats why there my favorite band and thats why hes my favorite bassist. started me off on bass and the first song i learned on the bass was the trooper there my idol
