Silvio nodded, accepting Riley's kindness. He wasn't used to it, but he felt he knew he should act with the same generosity. He felt a sense of security in here, an almost alien concept to him. His fatigue washed over him suddenly as he relaxed his muscles, now and then with a spasm from Riley's treatment, as he finally realized how worn out he was. "I'm sorry you had to go through all this trouble... I didn't mean to drag you into anything, but I appreciate what you have done," he said sincerely, unmasked from his usual bitterness. He turned his head to the stereo system, ears twitching slightly as he looked it over and listened to the music. "Well, that was nice of your friend. I don't recognize the instruments... what are they?" he asked, unfamiliar with synthesizers and other electronic instruments.

Motega snickered silently at Kerwin's response, taking a hold of his shoulder. "I'm sure he wouldn't be too hard on you if you were just informing him, but you're probably right. Did you want me to walk you home, or are you alright on your own?" he replied, wondering if the unicorn needed the escort. He didn't want the little one to get into any trouble while he was out and about, but at the same time he wasn't sure if he could handle it himself.

Jiki scratched the back of his own head lightly in embarrassment, but it was mostly for show. There was no reason to be nervous around Marlon. Heaving him up, he replied with a slight laugh and sharp nod, "I guess you're right!" He reeled Marlon into a squeeze around the waist and leaned his head on the bunny's shoulder as he led him over to the oak, a smile widely plastered on his face.

Leading him to take a seat, Jiki snuggled beside him and held a hand to Marlon's head. "Now rest. We're gonna need our sleep," he said sweetly, pulling Marlon close so he could rest his head on Jiki's chest, stroking his hair.

Riley grinned. "Oh no problem, really. Don't worry about it. This is far more fun than what I had planned," replied. "And it's just music run through some electronics to change the sound. Pretty cool huh?" He soon finished up tending to Silvio's wounds. "There we are! Well, why don't you spend the night? Just so you can let those heal a bit before you go back home, okay?" But before the coon could even think about reply, Riley went into his closet and tugged out a futon. "You stay on the bed, and I'll sleep on this!" With a grin, he went to turn out the lights and turn in. "Sleep well!"

Kerwin snorted. "Then you've never seen him when poked about Jiki. Raine was silly enough to say something about it, and Marlon nearly ripped his ears off. Love makes him run a temper," he said with a shrug. "But I'm just going to go home, it's not too far! Plus, I have a feeling Joscelin may have raided my cookies I made the other day. So I'll see ya around?"

Marlon laughed as he got pulled into a squeeze. "Of course I'm right. Have I ever said another otherwise?" he asked teasingly as he let Jiki lead him to the tree. And once there, he chuckled softly. "Mm, I suppose you're right," the bunny said, snuggling up to Jiki as he got his hair stroked.

It was very early in the morning when Silvio awoke, hand to his forehead as the sun was just peeking out from over the horizon through the window. He grunted as he sat up, hunched over and trying to wake his mind up. He had been stuck in bed for so long, just how long had it been? He held a hand to a bad gash on his torso, only feeling a slight twinge of pain from it. It still wasn't fully healed, but he had taken more than enough time off from his mission, and he needed to get going.

Quietly, he slid out of bed and walked gingerly across the floor to the door. Stopping, he took a glance back at Riley and smiled, grateful of his help. "I can't keep dragging you into my problems like this, so I'll go about it alone this time. Thank you for all you've done," he whispered as he turned to leave, only to come across hinges that wouldn't let his departure go unnoticed. Cringing at the sound of the creaky door, he turned to look back at the fox once more, a little embarrassed at these turn of events.

Motega strode along the pathway that led to his favorite part of the park back, straight to the small canyons that colored the flank of the area. It was going to be a great day, he could sense it already. The brush was singing in the wind and the trees were waiting patiently for the sun to hit their leaves; the feeling of the earth made him grin in anticipation. However, not as much as Jiki was beside him, who had gotten up early to meet Marlon under the oak tree where they had slept together a week prior, unable to sleep anymore. The kid made him snicker in amusement, intrigued with how love made the fox act. It was much different than the docile and hard-working beta he was used to.

Jiki's steps were hurried, as if he were late for meeting Marlon but knowing he was early. He couldn't help it; he wanted to see him again! After all, this was going to be a milestone day, as they were finally planning on getting a house together. He didn't care how long he'd have to wait for his love, he would wait until the ends of time if he had to! He was too eager for his own good, but it made for better attributes in other categories.

Seeing the tree, he immediately dashed on over to it to wait under it's nurturing branches, tail waving in anticipation. A wide grin was plastered on his face as he leaned against the tree's trunk, patting the bark lovingly. "We've been through quite some times, haven't we, old friend?" he spoke to it, leaning his head back to look into the canopy above his head.

Motega couldn't help but laugh at this, though only to himself. Jiki was amusing when he was so antsy, it made him wonder where all his patience had gone. However, it was still visible in his posture as he took in the morning air and relaxed against that tree. So, he wasn't the only one who looked to nature for advice... The bunny shook his head, smile still displayed vibrantly on his face, and made his way to the cliffsides to check out the area. It was time to make his rounds, checking up on everything.

When Silvio had risen, Riley was still fast asleep on the floor, snoring lightly. He didn't budge as the coon got up and murmured to him. But it was the door that stirred the fox. He looked up at Silvio, seeing him upside down due to Riley's position on the floor. "Oh, leaving so soon?" he asked, his voice groggy. He wasn't much of a morning person... Due to him being the night-time partier. "Won't you stay for breakfast?"

Kerwin was outside too, at the place Motega had showed him before. It was peaceful, and the breeze was just right! He'd brought a few books along, all spread out around him. The unicorn had figured he'd stay up there all day, and even brought a packed lunch he'd made. But as he tried to read, he couldn't help but be reminded of Marlon. The bunny had been acting so... unlike himself. But that was to be expected!

Marlon had been nearby when Jiki and Motega had arrived. And upon hearing his love talk to the tree so, it made him laugh uncontrollablely from his little hiding spot between some bushes. "So you're leaving me for a tree?" he asked, popping up from his sitting area. "I never thought you'd fall in love with such a stiff."

Silvio sighed, deliberating the matter as he rocked from side-to-side uneasily. "Riley, I... I've taken up so much of your time and effort already. I don't want to burden you any longer. You've taken care of me for the past while, and... I just can't do it anymore. I've got a mission I must accomplish, and I don't want to drag you in any further than what has already happened. Just... go back to your normal life. This is just something I've got to handle," he said after a moment's silence. His words seemed to pain him as he spoke them; apparently he had gotten too attached to the fox and his kindness over the past week. He didn't want him to get hurt in what he felt was his own wrongdoings, and couldn't bring himself to keep Riley to his word to help him find his missing partner. "I'm sorry."

Motega's ears twitched to the sound of a page of a book being pulled away from others and turned, and a smile grew on his face when he realized who it must be. It was becoming a familiar scent to him, but moreso the area in which the sound originated from. Coming up over the bend, the bunny waved over to Kerwin, a plain sight to see in the pale dawn sun. "Hey, Winny! It's good to see you again!" the native bunny called, taking his time to make it over to the unicorn.

The fox beta jumped slightly as Marlon appeared from behind, but his voice calmed him down. He burst out laughing at Marlon's bantering, a blush appearing on his face. "You know I could never leave you!" he exclaimed, stepping forward and pulling the bunny into a soft embrace, kissing him swiftly yet lovingly. "So, you couldn't wait either, huh? What were you doing hiding?" he asked, laughter dancing in his eyes.

As the coon told Riley he couldn't stay, the fox's ears slowly started to droop and his hopeful face became crestfallen. "Oh.... Okay. Well maybe I'll... see you around then?" he said, scuffing his feet on the floor, refusing to look at Silvio; lest he cling to the coon and never let him go. Riley didn't want him to go though! He liked having Silvio around!

Kerwin looked up when he saw a figure waving. As soon as he recognized it to be Motega, the unicorn grinned and returned the wave. "Hi Motega! It's good to see you too!" he called back, delighted to see his friend again.

The lavander bunny chuckled and returned Jiki's kiss. "You better not! Or else you'd have to deal with my wrath!" he teased, cuddling up to the beta. "Well of course I couldn't - this is too exciting to just sit around and wait!" At the mention of his hiding, Marlon huffed. "I was not hiding per say... I was just taking a nap. It's a nice day, and it makes me sleepy sometimes!"

Melanion was unsure of what he was to do on the matter. On the one hand, he had hoped Riley would just disregard what the coon was doing and come along anyway, but on the other hand his guilt made it nearly impossible to accept it. He scratched his head lightly as a reflex to the situation, dark eyes lifting to Riley's position. "Don't be like that... Its just that it might be dangerous, and I don't want you to get hurt. Better me than someone who doesn't even know what's going on, right?" he tried to explain, cringing at the last part he was afraid of explaining. "You're a really nice guy, Riley. I don't want to just take you from your life to solve my own problems... it wouldn't be right," he followed up, glancing away.

The red-marked bunny smiled at Kerwin's eagerness, glad that he seemed so happy. Seeing all the books around the unicorn's sitting area gave Motega the impression that he would be out for a while, which was something the bunny felt was good. It would be nice to have company out here, seeing as Marlon and Jiki were going to be leaving soon on their search for the perfect house. As he arrived close enough to the dark unicorn, Motega leaned over to get a good look at a book in front of him. "Tell me if the books are any good, okay? Maybe I'll find the time to read one if you say it's good enough," he said, grinning.

Jiki laughed, ruffling his mate's hair, "You could have slept longer, Marlon! You didn't have to come so early if you were only going to sleep." Snorting slightly, he added softer, "Though I'm glad you did. I missed you." It hadn't been very long since they had seen each other last, but at times they had to be separated due to current living arrangements Jiki found himself only being able to think of the bunny now in his arms. "Should we get going?" he asked.

Riley's ears twitched as the coon spoke. "What could be so dangerous? I can fend for myself you know. I'm not some defenseless kid! And what do I have that's possibly worth stayin' here for? I party. That's about it!" the kitsune huffed, finally looking at Silvio. "But just what do you think is so dangerous? Hm?"

The unicorn grinned up at Motega as the bunny came closer and gazed at a book cover. "I'll do that! I like sharing books, they're so much fun!" Kerwin was so glad to see Motega, he'd missed him!

Marlon smiled at the beta. "Yes I could have, but I was too excited," he admitted, swatting at Jiki's hand. "I missed you too! And that sounds like a lovely idea. The more time we get to spend, the happier I'll be!"

Melanion fidgeted slightly in place, not comfortable speaking of his past. Though he knew it was owed, at least somewhat, for all Riley had done for him. Inhaling sharply to try to drive his worry away, he tried an attempt to explain, "I know you're not defenseless, but you saw what happened to me. I've got some bad people on my trail... they're not going to stop until I'm dead, Riley. I don't want you to have the same thing on your head..." He paused for a moment, uncomfortable but willing himself on, "They're the same people that took the person I'm looking for. They... they've been after us since we escaped." It was too difficult to go on without being pushed, so he ended his explanation there. He didn't want to mention that it was a very slim chance the person he was looking for was still alive, for he didn't want to accept that possibility.

Kerwin's grin was contagious, and before Motega knew it he was smiling back at the unicorn (though it never completely left his face). The bunny wasn't one to read very many books, if any at all, and the only ones he knew well enough were informational, but change wasn't always bad. If Kerwin liked them well enough, there was a chance he might like them just as much. "Thank you. It's nice to share interests, and I'd be happy to share yours," he explained, moving over to sit beside his friend. Sitting upright, he scanned the area to make sure everything was okay, though his ears were still tuned into the uni.

Jiki laughed, squeezing Marlon once tightly. "I know what you mean. I barely got a wink of sleep myself last night, though I wore myself out enough to get a little," he agreed, leading the bunny off so they could starte the day. "Do you have a first stop in mind?"

He blinked at Silvio - his face blank. Escaped? People after him? "Well thn I'll help you! You know its easier if more than one pair of eyes is out lookin'. Plus, I'll watch your back!" Riley knew he'd probably regret his decision later but... He wasn't about to let the coon go back out again! He had just healed! What if he needed help again? Nope, Riley wasn't about to let Silvio take that chance.

Kerwin made room for Motega as he sat beside him. "You're welcome! I think sharing books is great - then we can have more to talk about! But what are ya doin' about now?" he asked, curious.

He smiled as Jiki laughed. Marlon liked it when the beta laughed... It was just so nice to hear. And it made him feel wonderful to know that he had made Jiki laugh. "I suppose that means we should stick together more often, hm? I wouldn't complain! And I don't know..."

(( Can;t tell how much I wanted to roleplay, now can you? sweatdrop Hope you don't mind the size! ))

Melanion felt the heaviness of Riley's gaze upon him, feeling his shock over what the coon had just said, and felt familiar uneasiness well up inside him. Maybe he shouldn't have blurted all that out... but he knew the fox had a right to know. There was no one more deserving, after all, even if it wasn't much of a consolation prize for befriending him. It depressed Silvio that he was unable to remember any happy memories in his lifetime, or anything before his time in those bastards' custody, and was a little embarrassed that he couldn't share anything like that with Riley.

However, at the red-head's decision to accompany him on his journey, Silvio could only feel surprised. He'll help me? Even after I told him all that? Why? He didn't understand Riley's devotion to friends, a subject that was still so new to him. They had only known each other for a week's time, a coincidental meeting that anyone else would have forgotten, and yet Riley was so... kind. He was willing to risk his well-being to help the amnesiac coon out! "A-Are you sure?" was the only thing he could manage to say after such a long pause. Shaking his head, he smiled. There was no use arguing with him, he knew he would only push the matter. "Okay. But if you're going to do that, I think I'll have to take you up on your offer for breakfast," he concluded with a wave of his hand, trying to lighten the serious mood. No use dwelling, after all.

Motega snickered slightly as he situated himself comfortably on the floor. "I'd share books with you, but I don't read them very often. I usually only read things I need to get information out of," he explained, picking up one of Kerwin's books that were on the grassy floor in front of him. "And I don't usually read through the whole thing, either!" However, doing something new like this was parallel to setting a goal, and he wasn't above doing that.

At the question of why he was out here, Motega shrugged. "I try to come out every day, if I can. I can't stand staying indoors for long periods of time because I feel more at home under the sky," he started, motioning toward the scenery. "It's beautiful out here. People tend to take places like this for granted, never really seeing their true beauty. I like to come out and scout the area, making sure everything's okay. You never know what some people might do to somewhere so remote as this, even if it just branches out from the park." He seemed rather solemn on that note, disliking people who defaced nature in such a way it had a hard time recovering from it for months.

Sticking together... that would be bliss. After all, who wouldn't want to spend all their time in the world with the one they loved? Jiki kissed the top of Marlon's head, replying, "Definately. After all, that's what we're assuring today, now, isn't it?" His tone had a touch of mischievousness on it, something he hadn't used since he was a boy. Back in those days he hadn't had a care in the world, the thought of one day becoming a beta never crossing his mind. Of course, that had changed rather suddenly, and so he found he had to grow up much too fast...

As they headed through to the park area, a bit of a way off, Jiki reached into his pants pocket and took out a slip of paper. It was no bigger than a small piece from a notebook, about the size a normal address book's paper would be, and he unfolded it to reveal a small list in scratchy handwriting. Jiki's penmanship was not the best, but it was at least legible to him. "Well, one of the things that had been keeping me up lately was this. I've been going through 'For Sale' ads for houses, ones the size that would suit our needs, and writing down the ones that sounded ideal. Care to check them out? None of them are too big, and they all seem rather nice," he explained with a smile, handing the slip of paper over to his love. "They all have an open house today, so we can stop by any of them. Lucky for us, but seeing as it's Saturday it's no wonder."
PostPosted: Tue Jun 12, 2007 8:12 pm

((Naw, tis okay. xD Gives me more to go on! <3))

Riley watched the coon carefully after he had told him that he'd join the coon. At the question, the fox grinned. "Would I say it if I didn't?" he asked. "Yes! Breakfast it is! Anything in particular you'd like?" he asked, practically glowing with delight. Melanion was letting him go with him! He was shocked that the coon was letting him join him, not that he didn't mind! Obviously he didn't catch the seriousness of it all.

The unicorn looked up at Motega with a shocked look on his face. "Really? You don't read for fun? Ever?" he asked, his eyes wide with surpise. "Well maybe you should read outside, it's very relaxing!"

Marlon smiled at the kiss he got on the head. Oh he liked that... Of course - he liked anything that Jiki did, as cheesy as it sounded. And his smile turned into a smirk at the change of tone in the beta's voice. "But of course, Jiki. I have nothing else I'd rather be doing than spending time alone with you."

The bunny's ears perked as Jiki took a small piece of paper out from his pocket. What was that...? And as he explained, Marlon felt a flutter in the pit of his stomach. "A place... of our own?" he asked, a boyish grin overcoming his face. "Really?"
