I've been reading Cry the Beloved Country. It's hard to get through but I must admit that after chapter 21 it gets a bit interesting. blaugh But other than that I've been reading the A Game of Thrones saga... which I recomend to everyone because it is utterly awesome!

Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (Lewis Carroll) are simply brilliant!!!

Does everyone from GB think so? It was like reading an opium trip to me, but all my friends from England think they (the books) are brilliant (and that is ALWAYS the word they use). All my friends from Japan and Korea think Anne of Green Gables is the best book (series) ever....

GB=Great Britain?... I'm from Canada... Born in Switzerland with Japanese origins^-^.

Sorry. It was the use of the word "brilliant"....it's so British. Threw me off. My most abject and humble apologies if I offended. eek Actually, the British ppl I know are my good friends and I love them to death, although we tease each other about who slaughters English worse....

Oh, no worries. I was not offended^-^.

Agreed! I love both of them. Mostly Lackey's Valdemar series. The last Herald-Mage Trilogy would have to be my favorite one of them all though.

I am currently reading "The Magic of Xanth." It's a considerably old book, but it is certainly a good one. I read a lot. I think my goal is to read all the books in my house, but only the fiction ones. This is probably impossible, since we have at least 1000 books, and most of them are in boxes, stowed away in our basement, garage, and on the porch. I really like books about vampires, so I read a lot of Anne Rice. I have read, and own Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. I have a book called Vampire High, and Vampire Kisses 1-4.

If anyone knows more good books about vampires, please let me know in a message.

I also like manga. Romance, comedy, and fantasy. Or any combination. I tend to not enjoy the manga versions of things that I was introduced to in anime form, and vice versa. I like Fruits Basket, Tokyo Mew Mew, W Juliet, Princess Ai, Boys over Flowers, Girl Got Game, Dream Saga, Nana, and Absolute Boyfriend.

Manga suggestions would also be nice. =]
