She couldn't help but smirk. She liked this girl. This Alanna wasn't a quitter and it was very nice. What the guild needed. Strong fighters not only in physical strength, but will and mentality. "I guess we are." With that, the black bow with no string appeared in her left hand. Alanna couldn't tell, but when the bow appeared in the black mist, the markings on her face throbbed gently. No one could notice it, but Mari felt the twitch. Just showing that the markings had a relationship with the bow. Nothing that could be disrupted by the other, really. The markings were there to stay. She awaited Alanna to attack. She had been on offense long enough.

Alanna had a varity of hidden weapons and items on her person. She pulled out slim throwing daggers as long as a pencil and twice the width of one. They were held inbetween her fingers and held loosely for easy throwing. The bow Mari pulled out raised her intrest and defense. She took the offensive and rushed at Mari throwing two daggers aimed for each arm. These daggers wouldn't harm her badly if they hit, she didn't want to hurt Mari. It was only a sparring match. If they hit they would only go so deep as hard as she threw them.

The bow Mari had was metal. Not the normal wood that most bows were. She twirled it infront of her and hit the daggars away from her path and they went to the side with a metallic clang. She then held up the bow and ran her hand across it. An energy arrow appeared and flew at the girl rushing at her.

She raised her fist up to the energy arrow and sliced through it with the daggers. The two slices of energy veered to opposite sides and disinigrated into air. The two daggers that were delfected returned to her hand. She smirked as she came up to Mari and dropped to ground, side swipping at her feet to get her feet off the ground. If Mari didn't fall she was ready to leap into the air after her.

Mari had jumped up and blackflipped away from her. She didn't attack from the air. It was what she wanted. Instead, she held the bow up in defense.

Swiftly she ran after Mari not giving her a second to really gain her ground. Mari's bow was up in defense and that cut down a range of attacks for Alanna. She took her dagger filled hand and let go of the first two daggers aiming for Mari's shoes to pin them into the ground.

Mari eyes widened because she clearly wasn't able to get her feeting in time, so she did the only thing she could to keep from getting pinned. Hit the ground. Once she was on her back she rolled away.

The two daggers retracted to her hand and she gripped them tightly. It wasn't like Alanna to hit an opponent when their down, instead she waited for Mari to get back up crouching down into an offense stance.

Mari put her hands up, the left still holding the bow, and used them to flip herself back onto her feet. Without warning, as soon as she was on her feet, she ran towards Alanna holding the bow horizontally infront of her. The intricate designs on the bow were very sharp and it doubed as a double ended sword, it seemed.

She traded the daggers into her other hand so three were in her right and two in her left. One was let go from the three in her right hand, and it wrapped around one side of Mari's bow. Each dagger was attached to an invisiable string that she held in her palms. She brought the daggers up to block the attack and dug her feet into the ground, stopping Mari in her tracks. The daggers, for how small they were, were surprisingly strong to be able to stop the attack.

Her eyes widened, but she dug her feet into the ground and started to move slowly foreward despite the strings stopping her momentum. She then threw the bow into the air and it disappeared in a black mist. While Alanna would be distracted with her throwing the bow into the air, the daggars then had nothing to grasp and wasn't given enough time to retract. She dashed foreward and punched Alanna in the stomach as hard as she could. This left her left side open for an attack, though, which wouldn't be very good considering Alanna still had weapons on her.

The force from Mari's punch sent Alanna back a few feet. She staggered for a moment not able to catch her breathe. The dagger that was sent into the air with the dissapearing bow, dangled for a moment before she caught wind of Mari's lowered defense. She let the dagger drop to the ground and bounced back up closing the gap between them quickly, going into a sprint and dodge rolling to her left side, to avoid any head on attacks, and delivered a hard kick into her side. She fell to a knee afterwards finding it hard to breathe. Mari knocked the breathe out of her twice and she didn't let herself catch some air before exacuting her attack. If Mari wanted to claim victory to the sparring match, now was her time

Mari had gotten kicked in the side, but rolled with it so she could attempt to walk it off. She hit the ground on her knees, but eventually stood back up rubbing her side. She had held her hand out to Alanna to help her up. "Good fight." She was done. The girl was a good match, but she seen it would be hard for her to continue and there was no point in it.
