Dazzler Dark Lord M ShadowKuroKarasu How'd I find out? First, by seeing a few pics and feeling oddly connected, then getting a few messages via dreams that usually had vivid effects of some sort. I'd also been feeling phantom limbs (namely my wings) for quite a while before I added up everything. I feel the same way about the Good People but it doesn't necessarily make me a Changeling, does it? Some people draw these conclusions to easily, it just shows that you love the creature and are looking too hard and believing too that you are one. The second paragraph makes me believe less... I mean I've felt a connection with the People of Peace, I've met them in my dreams and real life, and a number of other things that makes me feel connected but I still see it as me being one of the rare folks they seems to tolerate. Normally I believe most things but when someone says they're a vampire, werewolf, or demon I need a lot of proof other than "connections" and dreams. I have to agree with Dark Lord M. I feel the same about vampires and other demons but I know this doesn't make me one. I'm more active at night and my senses are increased, I also love the look of blood. I also feel at times the phantom limb wings that you say you do and it is very unconfortable to deal with, and I believe it is caused by tension in the shoulder muscules. And one question why on earth would a demon be 'triggered' by spicy food? Have you felt the wings swishing at your ankles, too? It's more than just shoulder tension, I assure you. More can be discussed better over a messenger of some sort; I've found aurae and the like to be more easily felt through that medium. As for the spicy food thing...It's a natural reaction in some creatures. Capsaicin (the chemical that makes peppers hot) is not designed for your tasting pleasure. It, like many other "tasty" things, is a defense of the plant. Some species are immune, some aren't. I don't blame you for your doubts (I've had to prove it before, after all), but it's quite obvious to anyone who feels it when the soul and the shell are mismatched.

Ahh I think I see what you mean about spices. I guess it would work the same why smells can help recall memories. I'll also admit that as I have no meet you I wouldn't be able to tell how your soul and body differ, if they do at all. As for the wings, they feel different to each that have them. You can't just places one idea on all of them.

I never said all wings felt the same, I just fail to see how a tension in the shoulders can create a sensation near the ankles. Wouldn't there need to be a rather large wing to do that? question As for feeling wings...Are you sure you're not something else? I know I'm not the only sealed being in existence, but...I'll drop it. It's better to know me personally than to try and take a word posted on a message board. Things like this are nigh-impossible to prove to a group. At the same time, it's not something most would openly admit. I was hiding it for a good long time. At least some are taking interest in me instead of splashing holy water and stuff...Which, after the Vatican incident, is really all I ask. xd Anyways, this topic was supposed to be about vampires. It's just that succubi tend to get lumped with them. sweatdrop

Slight problem with you PMing me: I'm getting an error that says you need to friend me. I've already sent the request. 3nodding Back on topic: Anyone wanna do more mythbusting? For instance, I've heard mixed reports about vampires and running water. Can anyone properly clarify what bodies of water aren't safe for them to cross? question

Vampire mythbusting? That's hard, because there are so many conflicts inside the vast lexicon of vampiric lore. Actual experiences would have to take precedence, but what next? Popular culture has vampires fizzling away to ash in the sun, but according to Stoker's Dracula (from which, interestingly enough, much of pop culture claims as a refrence) Vampires do not die with the touch of sunlight, but simply lose their infernal powers and become as mortal as any human. Which myths are true, and which are faulty?
As far as running water goes, I've heard that any swiftly-moving body of water, the deeper the better, will do, but oceans, lakes, languid rivers, etc. are out. Best bet would be a stream swollen with rain or snowmelt.
