(( eek One of my friends is constantly saying that. She's like "HOLY CRACK MONKEYS!" everytime anything happens... just thought I'd share biggrin ))

Rai'ak's eyebrow arched slightly as Vermillion spoke, dropping back to normal as Rai nodded his aquiescence. "Of course Lord Vermillion". His silky black hair remained perfectly still as he turned to the closer guard. The captain had informed him of the guard's names, but he was unsure which was which. So he glanced at both of them before speaking, directing his dark eyes out the window as his voice carried through the air "Tulvom, Jaimer, if any of the delegates wish to acompany us at a later time, please bring them to the temple, and ask for the protector D'lora. Thank you."

Under his helmet, Jaimer frowned. That is what he hated so much about the priests. The young man hadn't even given him time to say yes before assuming it would be done. That kind of pride bothered him greatly. Of course, it wasn't like he could say anything, so instead, he sent a sharp salute at the priest. Watching the young man serenely step aside, waiting for Vermillion to leave, Jaimer suddenly was hit by what Rai had said. A protector? Those were legends, there hadn't been more than one or two for the last century! And this young man, no more than a boy, was one? That would explain his knowledge of the hand signs. Probably his arrogance too, people with that kind of talent were always snooty.

--

Faile'ania D'lora hesitated. She stood at the edge now, a single step would farther carry her into the unknown. One more step, and she would no longer be home, but instead on the land of a people who were on the verge of war. A determined look graced her fine features, and she hesitated no longer. Firmly stepping forwards, she vowed to heself that she would protect her home from war by all means possible.

((From here on out, the envoy from Pearle to Houka will be in the Houka thread.))

Vermillion was more then pleased but restrained his ego from becoming obscenely large. Instead he just wore a pleased smile and snapped his fingers, his clothing becoming more suited and netural in tone. a robe that was depicting the sky, witht he sun to his right side, and the moon to his left. stars in faint glory on his back, and stars int he black of night to his front. "i am ready, after you Rai'ak."

Marta wearing her maid robes walked up from the basement wiping her hands off, they always gave the new ones the dirtiest of tasks the only reason she came here was because she was tired of living in the wild her bluish hair was tied up in a braid that swished lightly with every step as she walked back to her quarters to take a small break, as she walked she caught a glimps of a few acolites the few that saw her sneered at her in their im better than you kind of way. finally getting to her room there was a note on the door demanding her to do more chores sighing she took the note off and headed back to the head house keepers office.

((ok i figured out what to be yay i hope that intro was good enough it was the biggest one ive ever done hope the grammer isnt to off heres her profile Marta hopefully you can find it in the list of ppl))

((Hey, for a first time, that rocks!))

Once the dragonkin had finished his simple transformation, Rai'ak swept on out of the room, silken robes billowing gently after him. As far as he could tell, that wasn't a mere illusion like most of Rai's own tricks, but it also wasn't very impressive. Leading the delegate through the corridors of the castle, Rai prayed to Lumos that he wouldn't get lost. The bright light of the sun made him grimace slightly, but at least his prayer was answered. Leading Vermillion out the castle gates with a nod to the guards, the protector of Lumos decided to stay on the wide clean streets that wound slowly towards the temple, rather than the narrow cramped ways that were much straighter. Pausing every now and then to point out an ancient house or a notable statue, Rai played quite the gracious host. Of course, he hadn't seen many of these things for himself, but he had learned about them all quite well, so these little trivia facts were quite easy to use. The temple was more than two miles away this long route, Rai hoped that it wouldn't be too much for the delagate. For someone who trained at his level, he could probably make it in five to ten minutes, perhaps less...

On the outside, the priest became even more reserved than usual, his blank expression fading into a distant one. His steps did not slow, nor did they waver, but he stopped pointing out objects of interest, and he was clearly somewhere else.

Marta opened the little door to the office of the head house keeper and walked in slowly her hands held behind her back she looked very doefull

"Marta i want you to attend to the delagate's rooms and because you are considered a mute the envoy will not feel threatened by you being there and willl probly ask that you stick around" the lady noticed Marta looking shocked at her and waved her off "go on now get to work" she said in a slightly angry tone

Marta nodded and turned around before going off to clean the delagate's room...by herself. she knew where it was every one knew where the delagate was going to be housed it was just the fact that she was being assigned to do it alone that bugged her

Vermillion took in the surroundings as they traveled, looking more at the people then the buildings or statues. Material things would not bring peace, it would take both sides listening to one another, really listening to one another, that would bring peace to the lands. However the people only looked happy to see a guest, but their eyes followed Rai'ak closer.

Vermillion looked at Rai'ak and kept silent till they reached the temple

The grand sight of the massive silvered marble temple gates were what brought Rai back to himself. Nearly forty feet tall, the doors were magically enchanted so that only a disciple of lumos could open them without shattering the entire massive marble construction. They were thrown open wide at the moment, and supplicants to Lumos trickled in and out of the temple past their gigantic arches. Turning to Vermillion Rai made a simple statement before proceeding "Welcome to the temple of Lumos Lord Vermillion"

Sweeping under the might parapet of the gates, Rai nodded to the guards. Everyone here knew him, or of him at least, as testified by their bows in his direction. Making his way down the white marble floor, he looked perfectly part of his envronment here. The white robes rimmed with black corrosponded to the black vens running through the white floor and walls, and the polished surface matched with his perfectly groomed appearance. Giving a nod to all the alcoytes and less priests who bowed to him, Rai traced his way through the outer courts of the temple, towards the orphanage.

It had been nearly a week since hehad visited the children, but he waslooking forwards to see the little faces. Especially Ziira, as soon as her parents had been killed in a raid, she had attached herself to Rai and Faile, referring to them as her older brother and sister. A faint smile touched Rai's pale lips as he recalled the pretty silver haired little girl. She would miss Faile, but hopefully it wouldn't sadden her too much. Pausing for Vermillion to draw level with him, Rai spoke briefly "The children will be in classes for the next hour or so Lord Vermillion, shall we visit the classrooms, or would you like to wait? We could visit various parts of the temple until then if you should so desire"

((-comes to the rescue- I'll save you! -manly pose-))

Ankhe watched as the priest and Vermillion walked off, leaving the rest of them staring at their backs.

'Well, here we go.' She thought to herself as they stood there for a few more minutes. Nadira looked rather out of sorts by Vermillions abrupt departure, the guard that had been hanging closely around her shifted his weight from one foot to the other, clearly eager to be moving again. Ankhe couldn't say she would be opposed to the idea, but she couldn't just start walking again...she didn't know the way to the palace even though it loomed in the distance, its many towers and spires shining from whatever material they were painted with.

'I really do wonder what this new commotion is about, I have a bad feeling about it. Everything here seems somewhat...suspicious. That priest seemed rather fishy too. Meh...what do I know, I'm only a teen after all...' The last was thought with more than a little bitterness in it. When she had gone to the Black Mage Tower to train and study, they had confined her to the 'child friendly' areas of the whole Tower. She hadn't been allowed in any sort of magical working, hadn't been allowed to study the mid to upper magical texts, and had had a curfew of all things! Honestly, she was a fully certified Sorceress though everyone thought she had cheated and manipulated her way through the process so she was treated as a green student!

Ankhe visibly began to pout at the thoughts, it wasn't something she liked to think about but something usually brought it to the forefront of her mind.

((There...once again I am dissappointed in the quality...oh well. I'll do better when I get into the swing of things again.

Also, if the Houkan envoy could please arrive in my throne room thread rather than the 'general' Houka thread, that would be awesome.))

"I can wait till they are through with classes, however if you'd rather explain to me a few of the legends of lumos. There is such limited information elsewhere, and you being high preist and all, maybe you can keep me from insulting the person to which this lovely house was built."

Lord Vermillion and most of the others had departed at some point during her examination of the palace, and the surrounding area. Ankhe was just standing there, her thoughts wandering no doubt.
Nadira didn't really mind that much, she hadn't slept the night before, and her head was still spinning from their morning flight, and the words of her sister.

She knelt, and gently opened her bundle, Metta trilled in annoyance and immediately flapped her little wings to take her rightful perch on Nadira's shoulder. The little dragon (Toly-sama she's more like a fire lizard than anything else, distantly related, but not at all the same...I think -ponders-)

Jadeira had said to try and understand the people of Pearle.
They weren't scheduled to meet Queen Kaelene until that evening so she had most of the afternoon to pursue her own interests. The location of her room's was still a mystery, and she didn't think Metta would be thrilled at being left behind anyways, so she simply dropped her bags, and wandered off to explore her new residence.

The streets were crowded, but there was no hustle, and bustle like back in Esperanza. around every turn there were magnificent tapestries depicting the kingdom's history. Often times they depicted a tall, noble looking man with silver hair, and piercing blue eyes. When she asked an old woman who he was, she stared at her for what seemed like days, before bursting out in uncontrollable laughter.

Nadira's red eyes flashed, and she hurried away from the scene, with Metta cooing consolingly.

(she would be of great welcome in the land of Domachi, no matter its looks or linage, tolly treats all beings with care, save those who try to disrupt the harmony with evil. There is but one resting place for those people.....)

Arkayid had shadowed Nadira, and when she left the scene with the old woman, he caught up to her, with his hood up on the cloak. No one knew what the symbol meant, but the convienient thing about it was it hid his wings. His stature was huge, he knew that.

"Excuse me, Lady Nadira. But we must talk alone. I've come to... offer you my services. If you need to know who I am, let's just say I'm from back Home."
