Kylie shook her head. "You are truly astounding, but this mission is too important for a child to come along. I request that you stay in the village, and get oriented. Maybe on the next mission you will come."

Marksman in the Chaos "The assignment is spying on the Immortalis. A dangerous one indeed." She would have continued speaking, but music was heard. She looked up the hill, to the culprit, as did all of the gathered warriors. Few were calmed, as they had strong anti-spells, but those who were seemed to daydream instantly. A dark warrior raised his bow, and yelled to her"Who are you?" He was a good twenty yards from Kylie and the newcomer, as well as the girl. Chimera's eye twitched irrtably at the slight mentioning of the Immortalis. For a single and very familiar name rang inside his head like the bells of a church announcing a happily wedded couples presense. Noxas.........."Perhaps it would be a wise choice for me to join you then....I am familiar with the Immortalis. How ever slight the experience may be, I'll help with whatever may be necessary." He said, bowing diligently before a chill ran up his spine from the nearby sound of a violin. It was a simple musical spell...though it had little to no effect on him. "Do tell me, what is the name of the fair lady before me? I have introduced myself, it would be only fair to introduce yourself as well." Chimera said, still with an even tone and yet not exiting his diligent bow.

"I am no fair lady, I am a warrior. Kylie Irgeraurd. Welcome to the clan of the Broken Sword." She turned, leaving him with other warriors, while she took the musical child aside.

"Is that so? Well, either way it is a pleasure to have met you, Kylie." Chimera says, rising from his bow to further survey his surroundings. Perhaps this place would let him be at peace and only ask him to raise his blade on when it was absolutely necessary.
"One thing before we leave. Would you care to tell me when we will be meeting Hykoshi in person? Only from the rumors I've heard and the letter's I've recieved from him tell me that he is a well-rounded warrior, and yet he only fights when it is absolutely necessary....that's quite difficult to achieve in the world today..."

The one who had adressed the girl earlier spoke. "He never fights. I have not seen him with a sword drawn. In our last war was the only time I've even heard of it." The dark dressed man, whose eyes were even hidden, walked to Chimera. "I am Archer, one of the elders here. I have been with this clan since before he was here. He is a great man to overcome our last leader."

Peering behind him, he notices Archer as he introduces himself and provides a little bit of information on the clan's leader. And yet the only time the man had drawn a sword was during a time of war and no other. "It must be so peaceful for him then....to never worry about drawing a sword..." his fortune hadn't been as great, for the longest he had gone without drawing a sword was for a year. That was when he was healing from a near-death experience and had went into hiding in order to evade pursuing bounty hunters.
It must be nice...to never be burdened by the weight of bearing a sword. And here I am carrying three blood-stained memories of my own...but they're all I have....
Looking up into the afternoon sky he recollects the memories of his past, memories long forgotten by those who were linked to his family, and long forgotten by those who allied to destroy them...

Archer smiled lightly. "He is burdened by more than a sword. And he can kill without his sword. I am his bow, The man named Jinzo is his armored right hand, and his wife is a knife in his pocket." He shook his head. "that is beside the point, I wonder, why is it you so seek peace?"

"Is see, to be forever armed must be a burden indeed." Chimera said, smiling weakly, lingering in deep thought before continuing to answer Archer's question.
"Let us simply say tha my hands and swords have bathed in an endless amount of blood. An amount so vast that no item can wash away it's tainting stains, nor could it wash away the many painful memories the I have been ebued upon." He soon winces, recollecting his recent memories of Sophia. The young woman idolized him, and with his help was able to free herself from her narsasistic father. Yet despite his greatest efforts she died by her father's hands months later.
"Perhaps now that I am so close to obtaining peace, that I simply wish to embrace it and enjoy the warmth it would bestow upon one such as myself...."

Archer nodded,looking down thoughtfully. "It seems everyone here has seen blood to this effect. I believe, as does many here, fighting is means to alot of ends in this changing world. We must be ready to do such, no matter how much it pains us."

Staring up into the sky he asked, "Do tell me, when will we be setting out? I may seek to obtain some rest before leaving...."

"Fair enough...." Chimera said, soon plopping to the ground and closing his eyes. His thoughts were drifting about randomly and it wouldn't take long for him to dwell in the realm of sleep.
"Simply tap me on the shoulder when it is time...I'll be resting until then..." And with that he was out light a light, his head drifting down and his shoulders sliching as a perfect indicator that he was fast asleep.

Dreams swiftly flickered in his unkempt mind, and like a monarch butterfly fluttering amonst white moths, an important thought came to mind. Two of his swords were getting old, and the blades were becoming dull and worn out, either he would have to replace the blades, and store the momento's in a shrine, or some sort of protective case; or he would have to hire a blacksmith to repair the many cracks and stains in the blade of his swords.
"Archer......do you have any blacksmiths amongst your clan? Or are there any sword smiths that I could purchase some new blades from?" It was a horrible thing to ask, since he was joining a clan that focused on fighting only when necessary, but he couldn't rely only on his Frozen Edge. His blades worked like a team, and were the metallic extensions of his body....he couldn't simply remove two and work with only one limb....

Archer looked down to the sitting man, "Why, that is a majority of what this village started with. I hhink right now, most of them are here, and unable to smith your blades. You want replacements, Harold is the guy to see."
