-You get nervous when people are more than 4 steps away from you in any direction and try to fix these intervals.
-You lightsaber duel using your clarinet against the flutes and know how to defeat them without harming your instrument.
-A not-so-secret-admirer who isn't in band asks you out and you say, "Sorry, got marching contest that day," even when marching season is over.
-(This happened to me on Friday) You go into a fitness center, change into gym clothes, go somewhere to begin your stretches...and realize you can't stretch without that crazy gock block marking time. rofl

~When you use Band to replace any word in a sentence. (Ex: It's so banding hot out here!)
~When you dress up as a band nerd for geek day during Spirit Week.
~When you trick rookies by telling them that their plumes are on backwards.
~You wear your marching shoes as dress shoes. (I love my Dinkles XD)

(I love my Dinkles XD) hah! yeh, we had a nerd day for spirit week and most of the peeps in band dressed as a geek and did it well... yeh, i've used dem dinkles as dress shoes before. they have a nice plush cushion. ^^

i can relate to so much...you get used to the dr. beat though....especially when its punding about 3 ft away from your ear sweatdrop ...i think band is making me deaf!!! eek

you know you're in marching band...
~if you see a sign for a sale on lawn ornaments and think "they're selling pit players?"
~when a well played show gives you an eargasm
~if, as a woodwind player, rain is both good and bad as you have to watch out for your instument but also once you put it away get to march in the rain and laugh at the brass for having to still carry theirs around. (mwuahahaha)

What's your band? I swear I've seen those uniforms before... -When you and/or a friend(s) make up your own drum major salute...and practice it...time and time again...to get it just right...even when you know you'll never make drum major... This is one I do with two of my friends way too much, so I have no pride to swallow anymore.
