Miyoko...It is as if I'm back home again...

It couldn't be helped, but Chankuruchi kept staring at the girl, that looked almost scaringly like Miyoko; Chankuruchi's only, and best friend from her last school.
Lightly she shook her head, as if shaking it, would rid those memories. Which were all good and happy ones, until that one day...
That one day that changed everything...

" No, that's fine..."

It wasn't really clear what exactly got into Chankuruchi, but the words just slipped from her mouth:

" Are you interested in mythical creatures?"

Maybe it was just the fact that she wanted to show interest for once, or maybe it was because she longed back to the days she and Miyoko could just be in one room, without the terrible tension in the room.
Those tensions were those of the few last days before Chankuruchi left that quiet little town, and switched schools.

And only that, all because of her own fault...

Katsu looked briefly over at where two of the girls in her class were talking, she didnt mind being on her own, not now that she was settled down in a chair with a beautifully bound copy of "Salome" by Oscar Wilde in front of her.

Misako smiled in relief, glad that the other girl wasn't upset. The older student had seemed a bit...rough, back in the classroom, and she'd been expecting to get shot down by her. But since she wasn't, she began to like her a bit more - she sort of had before, but it'd been tempered by what she had percieved as 'rudeness' towards the teacher.

At the question of whether she liked magical creatures, a more significant smile crossed her face. Not only had the older girl not shot her down, but she seemed to be making an attempt at conversation - and while she normally didn't like to talk...well, she was curious about the other one.

"Yes, I like them...I don't know much about them, but I've always thought they're interesting."

She sat down in the empty chair next to the other girl.

Misako looked at Chankuruchi in concern, for a few moments. The older girl had seemed a bit...upset by something, for a few moments. Something about the creature she had read about? No...she didn't think it was that. Something else, she supposed.

"Are you alright, sempai?"

She didn't exactly know the other student, but...well, she was concerned. And she hoped that her question wasn't taken as rude or anything - she wasn't exactly used to carrying on conversations with people. The girl tended to keep to herself, for the most part.

he finishes his manga and then lets out a big yawn.
"they sure are taking their time..."

he decides to just take a nap as he waits. he curls up and lays on the couch.

Misako stood up as well, making sure she had everything. With a glance over at the teacher, she briefly wondered if the teacher was really that tired...he was falling asleep on the sofa. He had to be tired, to sleep during a time when he's supposed to be watching the students.

"Yes, I'm Misako..." She trailed off, as she realized she hadn't learned the older girls name yet. "...I never caught your name back in the room, sempai."

A way of asking who she was, while being relatively polite. Having had the sort of upbrining that she had, politeness being the most important thing, she considered it a bit rude to just out and ask 'who are you'. Thus, her roundabout ways of asking...there were many things she considered rude, like that, that she found roundabout ways for asking about - or not at all, in some cases.

Needless to say, the girl wasn't one of those ones that were always asking questions.

" My name would be..."

She hesitated lightly at saying her name. Could she trust this girl? Or should she just go with her alias, for her own safety, and lie to this very person that reminded her of Miyoko that much.

" Kinoshita Chankuruchi."

What was she thinking! There was no way anybody would find out about her real identity. There was no chance someone hadn't heard of the Ken-family, after all, they hold a lot of power in Japan.
But starting any kind of relationship with a lie, never is a good start.

Chankuruchi gave a quick nod at Misako, as a way of saying she would walk on now.

" I am going to wake up our 'teacher'..."

Under her breath Chankuruchi muttered something about 'inexperienced' and 'irresponsible', as she walked up to the teacher.

he opened one eye and looked at the student waking him up.
"what was that..? 'inexperienced' and 'irresponsible'...? my ears arnt just cute to look at ya know..."

he chuckled to himself and stood up. he patted her on the head and looked around at any wandering students.
he clapsed his hand together and echoed through the library.
"hurry and find a book, we're headin out"

Chankuruchi stood there for a moment, a little dumbfounded by her teachers reaction. Patting heron the head?!
Who does he think he is!

I didn't know teachers were allowed to eavesdrop on students' muttering...

Though Chankuruchi normally doesn't really ever feel embarrased, she felt something now, which came pretty darn close to it.
She felt like she should apologize for her words, but then again, wasn't she right? After all, he was a teacher, taking a nap while he should be watching his students.

" Sir..."

Chankuruchi leaned against a wall, behind the teacher.

" You might have heard what I muttered, but do I not have all right to react that way? With all respect, but weren't you supposed to look after your new students, instead of taking naps and reading those filthy comics?"

he looked at the girl a did nothing more than grin.
"one doesnt have to watch with their eyes to know where someone is."

he notice she didnt like to be patted on the head... so he did it once more.
he goes and stands by the door as he waits for his students to finish up.

Misako blinked, surprised at the...interactions between the teacher and Chankuruchi. The teacher seemed to be trying to make her angry, rather then calm her down. It seemed very...strange, to the girl. She shook her head slightly, and approached the other student.

"Chankuruchi-sempai, perhaps we should head out, then..?"

The older girl seemed to have a temper; well, that could just be with the teacher. Both Chankuruchi and the teacher were acting much differently then she would have expected a teacher and student to act. It baffled her, thus she just figured if she ignored it, it wouldn't bother her as much.

Unbelievable! Chankuruchi just couldn't believe the way the teacher acted. He really WAS as strange as unusual his looks were.
She turned around to Misako as that girl spoke to her. It would be a good idea indeed, heading out already. Though the library was wonderful, she had no doubts she wanted to move on. The teacher didn't make the atmosphere more positive either.

" Very well... We should better move on indeed."

Chankuruchi glared with a look full of anger at the teacher, which she already starts to dislike more and more, before she looked back at Misako again.

" After this, we were going to have a so called picnic, am I right?"

"yes yes, shall we be off than?"

he led the students down the hall the cefateria. the food selection was vast, containing food from all around the world. they even had a request booth, so if you didnt see what you wanted, make a request and they would do their best to fix it up.

"well than..." he hands each student a basket. "go fill it with whatever you're hungry for." he smiled and shooed the students off to the food.
