Erin Sovenya
Hey yall, I go by Erin on the internet, and I'll be 18 in 6 days. I'm from Louisiana I am an absolutely HUGE fan of tPotO musical, which I saw for the first time on broadway about 2 1/2 years ago, and again for my birthday last year. The novel (Gaston Leroux (sp?)) is one of my most reread, though i am slightly worried about whether they can make the movie without ruining it (which is how most book->movie tries go)
I love Erik!!!! I love the Persian and hate Raoul.
PotO heart is my favorite musical, followed by Les Miserables. 3nodding
But, the Musical already messed up the book. Why am I confused? gonk

Howdy!

The movie's not an adaptation of the book but more of an adaptation of an adaptation of the book.

Clear? confused

Meh.

Do you mean the old one, or the new one? the New One, though based on the book is based on the Musical.

Hello everyone! I'm new to the guild and Phantom of the Opera. I went to see the Phantom of the Opera for the first time just last weekend and I immediately fell in love with it. heart
I haven't seen any of the movies, but I'm planning on going to see the new movie when it comes out on the 22nd. I think the trailers and the costume/set designs look amazing and I can't wait to see it.
I haven't read the book yet either, but I'm hoping to read it soon. sweatdrop

Well....
When I was in second grade, I found my mum's soundtrack to PotO (ALW version), and immeaditly fell in love with the music.
Then, about a year later, I found the book. The book makes me cry. I aboutly hate Raoul he needs to STOP BEING SUCH A LOOSER AND GET ON WITH IT!!!!
Ahem, sorry.
So, after a while, I just fell in love with the whole thing.
Then, about a week ago, I found the Original Soundtrack to the musical in my art teacher's music stash. She plays tapes and things while we work. So, I put it in.
I couldn't help myself.
I sang to the wole damn thing, I swear.
Now people call me Christene. 'Tis somewhat scarry.

Hullo everyone! *waves* I'm Kira, or Madilyn (since it's my SN and probably easier to remember!) and I've been a huge Phantom Phan for a good chunk of time. my dad had seen the play and owned a copy of the Highlights CD and when i asked him to tell me about it, everything sorta snowballed fromt here. He took me to see the play at the Pantages in Hollywood when i was about 10 or 11, and... yeah sweatdrop I love the music from the play, and I used to make my barbies reinact the story along with the music from the CD (i eventually got the complete two disk set) and yeah, I just love the story and what-not!

Hi, I'm Utakan, but I prefer going by S.G. as it abbreviates my real name. ^^;
Been a Phan for years. I never really saw the play (I regret not knowing it'd been in town years ago) but I've read the book and seen the 1925 black & white version.
I fell in love with the music the first time I heard it in third grade, though I never knew the lyrics until a couple months back when I found out the names of the songs.
Have the special edition 2 disc soundtrack for the upcoming movie (yay being in a selected city!), the London Orchestra and Opera version, a couple of the songs from the original cast cd, and four piano pieces on an Andrew Lloyd Webber cd.
I have some phanart in my DevArt account (link should be in profile). And I also plan to dress up as Erik for Mardi Gras (well, you can guess where I live, then) so if anyone has any tips on where to get a mask or how to make a good one cheap, lemmee know.

Hi! I'm Shiralis, known elsewhere as Arie. I grew up with POTO looming in the background of my life and only in recent years really focused on even the music. As soon as I did that, I fell for Erik and hard. Reading the Leroux novel only increased th severity and I hav been irrevocablly a phan since. I also make cookies. They're pretty good. Yay for intestines! xd
