Hehe, we posted at the same time! xd
I've heard of Heath Ledger, but I don't really know much about him to be honest! But if his Irish accent is that bad, I'm not sure if I want to! xd I remember playing this "Guess the Celebrity" game with my friend, and I couldn't recognise any of the pictures...I'm useless when it comes to famous people!

starlit_jewel Who the Smeg is Heath Ledger? ... ... I've only ever seen him in A Knight's Tale... but I thought he was kinda interesting. I guess he's Australian, so... maybe that's why I never see him anymore. But at one time he must've been dating some prominent American actress, because I remember seeing him on a VH1 thing... maybe it was that "100 Hottest Hotties" or something. Stupid, yeah. xd Hrm... Rimmer's most tragic moment... either when he realized that he'd never dated Lisa Yates, or when even in the Better Than Life game his father wouldn't acknowledge any of his accomplishments. gonk heart

Heh. Well, I don't hold it against him that he can't keep an accent... not everyone has an ear for them, I suppose. Johnny Depp is great at accents, though... ooh, Jack Sparrow... Ahem. ninja Anyway. I dunno. Maybe he's just more popular in Australia (I hadn't known that he was Australian). Erm, see above post. xd

I can't hold an accent to save my life...it's a difficult skill, and I'd love to be able to do it! But you're right, Johnny Depp is very good at accents! biggrin I just saw your signature with the how to do the Rimmer salute...that is classic! xd I had a giggle fit when I saw that!
I agree with those most tragic moments...those are just so sad! sad The way he says "you've destroyed me, Lister", and then walks out of the room without looking at anyone or listening to him...you feel for him so badly!

Hehe. I know, I love that one. That was actually done by Interwizard; in fact, I think he posted it in the guild signatures thread. There's the simpler one (the one I have), and there's one wit a 3D model. I love it; it's one of the prizes of my signature collection. xd heart I'm pretty good at accents... I can do a British one best, probably, of the more international types; otherwise I can do a Southern accent best and THEN British, then Irish, then anything else. The accent that most troubles is Scottish. I really have to listen to a real Scottish accent before I can imitate it, and I can't do it spontaneously like the others. gonk My family is quite the accent-ish type... we've pretty much all got ears for them. I guess we're lucky. Heh. I'm convinced that johnny Depp is a genius. Oh, that reminds me of the signature idea I had... nyehehe.... ninja Poor Rimsie!! crying I just wanna give him a big glomp and tell him everything'll be okay. Le wah. Heh.

Ooh, I'm falling behind the conversation! crying
The cut scene from Holoship: Oh no! No, I wouldn't have liked that... in the it's my duty line it's smegging hilarious, but not that.
Rimmsy's most tragic moment? Ok, it's either;
[Rimmer]I'd trade it all in, to have loved, and to have been loved...[/Rimmer]
or
[Rimmer]The woman I loved most in the entire world didn't love me... she loved you...[/Rimmer]
and when he walks out of the room after realising he'd never met Lise Yates.
Though I did laugh at this one
[Rimmer]12 minutes! And that includes the time it took to eat the pizza! In my entire life, I've spent more time being sick...[/Rimmer] xd It's just the way he says it, lol!
Accents! My forte! <--- Without the little accent thingy... I can do Posh English, Cockney, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, 3 different types of American, Australian, French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, and I'm working on my German...
Obviously you now realise that I have WAY too much time on my hands, lol!
Ah, Johnny Depp! My other love! 4laugh I just love him as Jack Sparrow! Though he was really really good as Ichabod Crane in Sleepy Hollow as well. I think my FAVOURITE accent of his though is definately when he was in Finding Neverland! That film is so tragic btw... but his accent! 10/10!!! Supoib!!! Lol! wink

Oh, yes. Finding Neverland is... just... awesome. It's so beautiful. crying And his accent was superb. Johnny Depp is just a great actor.
Twelve minutes... xd I forgot about that one. I just love that entire sequence where he's drunk. Hehehehehehe....

Hehe. Yeah, the southern accents I do are really... um, exaggerated. (In other words, mocking.) I do a mix of Tennesseean, Louisiana and Texan. Really just a generic southern.
New York is amusing... hehe, how about Maine accents? They're almost like New Zealand accents.
Of course these days many people don't really have accents. Some do, but now it's mostly like not exactly dead-pan voices but not much of a "pronounced" accent. I myself don't have a particular accent. Maybe that's why I'm so good at adopting others. xd
Hehe. Chris Barrie's great at the expressions. How he remembers what he said and then he's like: "Aaagh!" and bites his fist. xd

Chris Barrie's just a genius, full stop. I've always loved his impression of Kryten in Quarantine...
[Rimmer]Please spare me from another "Space Core Directive"...[/Rimmer]
He gets the accent PERFECTLY, lol! And the way he does the miming in Bodyswap; you really think it's him talking the entire time.
He also did an absolutely spiffing Prince Andrew in the old satire show Spitting Image... it was so funny! It's up somewhere on Groovetown, it's a pirate-like song that he sings... I'll try and find it for you. wink

Ooh, I like pirate-like songs. xd
When I start making money, however I do it, first thing I'm going to spend it on is Red Dwarf DVDs. ninja
He's really good at imitations... I'd love to get my hands on those radio versions of the RD novels he did... I posted the samples up in the Red Dwarf resources, I think it was. He's freaking good. eek

Yeah, I downloaded those! They were brilliant! 3nodding
I found where it is; you need to get to that bit where it tells you other songs the cast have sung. click on Chris' page then it's in there along with loads of others. wink
