Kaelin looked down at her lap biting at her bottom lip before shaking her head. Standing she picks up her cup walking over to the counter. She didn't say a word. She didn't have to as her body revealed everything as it trembled. She just couldn't understand how a her own child could be taken from her by someone she gave her heart to.
Coughing she smack the counter with her hand, her wings fluttered as she shook her head. She refused to show weakness, but it was getting harder and harder for her to hide it. And now with the only other way she thought she could see her son shattered before her she just wanted to give up.

Pol got up and moved over to Kaelin, she wrapped her arms around her and held her tight. "I'm sorry Kaelin-hun, but it's the one thing I can't do with my power, if they're unwilling to come, they make it hard, and may even prevent me from summoning them. I'm sorry I can't help you..."

Kaelin turned in her mothers arm. It was enough to cause any will Kaelin had left to shatter. The tears fell down her face as she hid it "Its not fair, I only got to see him for a short time after he was born." she was trying to keep her breathing normal, but inside she felt herself dying. "What did I do wrong that my son is taken away from me?"
Her knees buckles no long able to hold her weight, she dropped to the ground wrapping her arms around her waist. The tears didn't stop, the pain didn't seem to lessen as she kept crying. Looking up at her mother she shook her head "Why am I being punished, I didn't do anything wrong. I've always be kind, caring and helpful. How is that a bad thing?" she looked back down at the ground choking on her own sobs.

Pol sighed and got down and brushed her hair, "Life does unfair things Kaelin, and you did nothing wrong, things just happened." She kissed the top of her daughter's head. "It will work out in the end, I promise." She murmured, brushing her hair and making calming noises, shhhsing her gently.

Kaelin looked at her mother then back down at her lap. She didn't dare speak anymore, she knew if she did she would not only upset her mother but also the guardians. All she could do was move back into her mothers arms hiding her face once more as she just let the pain take it course.
The tears did finally subdue, but the pain was stronger then ever. Kaelin didn't move she just stared at the floor as she felt her body become frozen like ice inside. Looking up at her mother she breathes in slowly wiping at her face "I'm sorry I shouldn't have broke down. Not after everything your also going through..."

Pol smiled softly and reached down, brushing Kaelin's hair out of her face, she patted her cheek. "I'm your mother, it's my job to put my pain aside for yours." She smiled a bit and slowly pulled her hand away. "You have nothing to be sorry for."
Sol was just slient, his sandwich on the table forgotten.

Kaelin closed her eyes breathing in slowly as she kept her head lowered. She felt bad for crying in front of her family. She just didn't do it, she was always the one who put her feelings aside to help everyone else.
Opening her eyes she looked up at her mother, her face hid any pain on it as did her eyes as she smiles "I'm okay, just a emotional setback that is all. It won't happen again. And I'm still sorry, its not like me to break down."

"It's best to let it all out you know Kaelin, don't keep it bottled up inside that only makes it worse, it leads you down the path of feeling bitter." Pol said gently as she slowly stood again, offering Kaelin a hand to help her up. "Come, let's all go talk in Father's study for a little, I'd say the main sitting room but it's still a disaster area." She smiled weakly. "Haven't gotten around to picking it up yet and all."
Sol nodded and finished off his samwich, standing slowly and bringing the plate to the sink, as he walked by Kaelin he placed a hand on her head and ruffled her hair, giving her a smile.

Kaelin didn't response to what her mother said. She knew she was right but couldn't bring herself to allowing the emotions to show anymore. Taking her mother's hand she kept her head lowered just looking at the ground for a few moments as they walked.
It wasn't until she felt her grandfather hand ruffling her hair that she looking up laughing "Hey..!" she bats at his hand before taking it into her own giving it a light squeeze.

Sol chuckled and kept his hand around hers, squeezing back, but not tight enough to hurt, but reasuringly. It was something he'd not been able to do in a long time. His ususally hard and harsh face became soft and gentle, and his eyes filled with warmth that likened his element. "Hey what? I'm your grandpa I can do that," He laughed a little and walked with the two women back towards his study.
"Besides, if I didn't lighten the mood we would have all drowned in sorrow, and that's no fun, I hereby decry that there shall be no more tallk of this sad business!"
Pol smiled at her father, when he wanted to be he could be the nicest person in the world, and right now he was doing just that, keepign her mind off of all of her problems. It made her feel good on the inside that he still had a kind bone in his body considering he was worst off than the two of them put together.

Kaelin smile seem to brighten as she stuck her tongue at her grandfather very childlike. Winking she looked at her mother then back at her grandfather "Yes no more talk of bad things." it was at that moment her cell phone went off.
Jumping from the viberation she pulls it out of her pocket flipping it up "Hey Anila. Ah okay yea its not a problem. Yes I'm sure, I will talk to you later." hanging up the phone she looks at her mother "Think you could summon Dil here for me? Anila said he been crying and looking for me." placing her cell phone back in her pocket she blushes.
She remembered all to well how Victor reacted to her cell. She really hoped her mother and grandfather were not the same way.

Pol had seen Tinania's cellphone, so she was used to them, kinda. They still intreuged her quite a bit, but she did not fear them like Victor did.
Sol was not used to it, but wrote it off as magic, so he really didn't freak out or anything, just let it go.
When Kaelin asked Polgara to summon Dil she nodded, and with a gentle pulling motion she spoke firmly, much like when she had summoned Victor. "Dil," Obviously her thoughts were very specific on the child, because wth a gentle 'pop' he appeared on the floor at her feet.

Kaelin smiles looking down at her sleeping son. As Anila had stated he seem to be reaching out looking for someone. Leaning down she lifts her son into her arms hugging him close as she whispers to him "Mommie here, you can sleep little Dil."
Hearing her voice seem to help instantly, he relaxed against his mother cooing as his hand reach out taking a handful of her hair into his small hand.
Kaelin looked at her mouthing smilign then towards her grandfather "Grandpa this is Dil, my son, and the angel of my life." she seem to happier then before as she held Dil close. In truth she couldn't handle not having him with her.

Sol smiled warmly. "He's absolutely adorable," He said softly so as to not wake the sleeping child. "My great grandchildren visit even less often than my grandchildren or even my children do." Sol laughed lightly, and shook his head. "Come let us convine back to my study, and we can talk while I set up a place for young Dil to rest." He turned and started walking towards the room that held all of his study things.
Pol beamed. She loved children, and Dil was just so adorable being held by his mother like that. She walked over and brushed the boy's hair gently, then ran a hand down his back, sighing lightly. She would never know the joy of having children again, the moment she had become Elder she'd become Barren.

Kaelin nods following after her grandfather as she held her son in her arms. Glancing at her mother she smiles before looking at Dil "You wanan hold him? I think as long as he knows I'm nearby he'll be alright." she held her son out towards Pol.
Dil yawns for a moment before he lift his thumb to his mouth sucking on it, He small wings moving alittle as he slept. He didn't seem to be bother by all the talking going on around him. He knew he was safe.
