The idea of chowing down on a bowl of ice chips is tickling my fancy. At our labour and delivery classes they've mentioned that for while you're at the hospital you bring a box of those mini-freezies with you to munch on. They're tasty, can be used as a cold pack on your back/forehead/wherever and have a bit of sugar in them to keep you on your toes. I told the hubby next time we go for groceries, we're getting a box of like, 50! rofl

For the first four months of this pregnancy I couldn't eat much of anything. It seemed like the only think I could keep down was jalapeno poppers and sprite, although sometimes I got away with spinach with cheese melted over it... I couldn't eat any meet and if I had more than a tiny bit of dairy at a time I would get very sick. After I lost 20lbs in two weeks, the doctor put me on meds, but they just made me pass out. So If I ate one with my first bite of dinner I would pass out half way through dinner, but I couldn't throw up right? confused Eventually it went away; the week after it went away I craved meatloaf and milk (I drank a whole gallon of milk that day sweatdrop ) My stomach has been good since then, and I've been able to eat normal healthy food again. My first craving was cherries, but that was two months before they came into season, so I had to wait forever for those, and the first bag I saw at the store I bought... all $15 of it... for a whole 3lbs. Then I HAD to have pumpkin pie in July. So I sat up till 3am making pie one night. Recently I've been craving breakfast burritos with marshmallow puff on them... And what's funny about that is that I haven’t been able to handle sweets or sugar much at all the whole pregnancy I've been wanting sour things, and now all of the sudden I want marshmallow puff on breakfast burritos...

Hubby's appalled that a couple weeks ago I had to put lemon juice over my macaroni and cheese. But I keep explaining to him it's similar to wanting jalapenos on nachos. He doesn't seem to think so.. lol
(Lately I've been so nauseated that it's hard to come up with ANYTHING I can bear to force down. I heard a friend of a friend say that sucking on those peppermints from Sonic helped her nausea and she could eat anything then, but that doesn't work for me. Anybody have any other tips/tricks I might try?)

I haven't had any weird cravings yet, though I always seem to have a craving for something that we don't have at home. xd I mostly crave fruits, especially watermelon. I had to harrass my mother to buy me a fourth of a watermelon last night. I was supposed to save it so I could take pieces with me to school to snack on but it's not working. It's already half gone. sweatdrop The funny thing is that no one has eaten from it except me.
I also get a craving for apples, but can't eat those. Over time I built up an allergic reaction to them. At first I thought it was just whole apples, but when I tried drinking something that contained apple juice, it would give me cramps. Woe is me in my appleless world. crying

My hubby works at Wendy's, so he almost always comes home smelling like french fries, which just sends me into a crazy craving for them! Lately, if I smell any kind of food that appeals to me, that's what I crave. Also, I used to not be too fond of chocolate, and now, I gorge myself with those snack-size Nestle Crunch Bars, and 20 oz of hot cocoa at a time. Actually, I'm kind of starting to think about mac & cheese and now I'm wanting some...maybe my mom has some at her house...oh man...now I'm hungry! sweatdrop
